Women’s Winter Fancy™ Lace II Boot is rated 4.1 out of 5 by 134.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect for my first Boston winter I recently moved from Tampa to Boston, and these boots are PERFECT for my first winter. As for size, I have narrow feet and normally wear a size 8.5 - 9, and the 9 fits perfectly--plenty of room for thick socks. This was my first Sorel purchase, but it certainly won't be my last!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great for all Seasons This is a well sized and all purpose boot that will serve me in all seasons. Style and practicality are a definite for me. This boot will certainly get well used.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from You've lost a customer Extremely poor quality. Falling apart after one year when used to walk 10 minutes twice a day, to and from the subway. Rubber is cracked and water can get in and soak my feet within Minutes. This is my second pair of Sorel, very happy with the ones from 6 years ago, I don't know what you did to the quality but it makes me never want to buy again. From now on, I will rely on other brands.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from fancy for me I love style of these boots I like buckle. I got brown and black ones. I wish they had that pull handle on back though. And leather would be nice thicker and top brown color little lighter that be nice. But most off all the heal to high needs be half inch lower cause it pushes my foot forward. I had buy cushions for front my boots.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Customer service A heel fell off but we were able to get them replaced immediately by Sorel. Customer service was exceptional.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Sized up based on prior reviews... Loved these boots! Bought them for a trip to Montreal and they kept my feet warm in the snow, dry in the rain, and great for walking everywhere. They were extremely comfortable, especially since there was no break in time. Thank you for the previous reviews that said to size up... I'm usually a 7 and I have a 7 in the Lea Wedge which I also love, but definitely needed a 7.5 for this one.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Love these I usually wear a size 6 in boots. 5.5 in Sorel sandals. My feet are short and wide and I wanted these to be wide enough to be able to wear with thick socks because winters in Vermont are very cold and snowy. I got a size 7 since they run quite small. I've been wearing them for a couple weeks in the snow and now in the spring time mud and they're holding up well. My feet are warm and dry. I do a lot of outdoor walking and these have been very comfortable.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect investment for Banff trip! I’m happy with my decision to finally take the plunge to buy a pair of Sorrels. I was borrowing a pair from my mother (from the 80s) for my snowy adventures, until now. I ordered these for my recent trip to Banff. First of all, they’re incredibly comfortable. They kept my feet warm hiking in the snow, while not ever becoming uncomfortably warm while indoors. The traction is decent for flat ground, but I added crampons for traction on the steeper/icier hikes. I find this particular style to be a great balance of stylish AND practical. Both my friend and I (who ordered the same boots for the same trip) received several compliments about the boots. Since the Banff trip, I’ve been wearing them around Portland on rainy days. I would strongly recommend!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love love love Since I live in a ski town, I own several pairs of Sorels to keep my feet cute & cozy in the winter. These might be my favorite! They’ve been comfortable from the first wear, have soft a soft fuzzy lining, and the leather is a nice quality. They’re great for walking on snow & ice, and have kept my feet nice and toasty :)

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Awful quality and false claims According to the description the shoes are "Waterproof full-grain and oiled suede leather. Fleece lining. Seam-sealed waterproof construction." and recommended use for heavy rain. Lo and behold I bring these shoes for the sole purpose to use in Italy on my vacation because I knew it would be raining for most of my trip - little did I know that these shoes would completely break down and become useless on day 2. I discovered while trekking the Roman Forum and Palatine Hill that my socks and footbed feel wet - unfortunately I was stuck with them most of the trip since they were the heaviest I brought. I seriously wanted to throw them out but I wanted something to show and complain with - these shoes basically ruined my whole Italy experience because it couldn't even protect me from mild puddles after day 6 of the trip. What cheap quality and utterly false claims.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Amazing Warm and comfy. They fit maybe a little too small. I usually wear 8-9 and I got a 9. With thick socks it works Perfect but I could have went with a 8.5 also. Love these

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Terrible Winter Boots - No Traction, Not Warm I bought these boots in the fall thinking I was being proactive but by the time I realized how terrible they were in the winter, it was too late to return them. These shoes should not be marketed as winter boots. I live in NYC so the winters are fairly mild. Regardless of this fact, my feet froze every time I wore these boots. I tried wearing them with wool socks and wool socks + boot liners but nothing worked. Further, whenever it was even remotely icy out, I would slip and/or fall multiple times. These boots have no warmth or traction. I would not recommend using these boots during the winter.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I could wear these boots all day! These boots are so so comfortable! I love my bigger Joan of Arc Sorels but when you are in month 4 of winter, having a smaller (still waterproof, and warm) boot for an option is great!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from This shoe is so awesome!!!! I love this shoe! It's perfect and exactly what I needed. It's not too loose, not too tight, and I'm pretty sure I'd have enough room in there for warm socks! I love them and would highly recommend them!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect! I had a similar pair of boots by another brand but they weren’t comfortable but these, I can wear these all day with no problem! I live in Colorado and it has snowed a couple of times since I bought these. They kept my feet super warm for how lightweight they are. I am a Sorel fan for life! This is my 6th pair. All different!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Stylish, great outdoors! I wanted a boot that would work in the snow, and heavy wet area's, but didn't want the bulkiness like most Sorel snow boots. Winter Fancy is exactly what I was trying to achieve, I wanted something stylish and slim and not bulky, and comfortable to walk in. I can walk into work wearing these and not feel like I'm underdressed. I bought black, so it goes with everything. Another boot I'm glad I bought! I should mention I did half size up, I'm usually an 8, and fit most sorel 8 boots, but based off the reviews they said this runs small, and I bought 8.5, I'm glad I did, they fit perfect!

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Does not keep your feet warm The insole in the boot does not stay intact. The boots do not keep your feet warm and the strap across the top is not sturdy, mine broke.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Comfortable and Fancy These boots are very comfortable and warm, as well as stylish. I wanted a pair of snow boots that weren't as big as some other Sorel, but still kept my feet warm during Boston winters. I wanted, if necessary, to look cool in these if I had to keep them on while at the office. Objective achieved with these boots.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Winter Fancy These boots are not only comfortable and warm during cold wintery/snowy days, but also keep you looking stylish in the process!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great lightweight warm boot I love this boot. This is the second one I have purchased (my old one was 3 years old and eventually wore down because I wear it almost every day in winter in Wisconsin). They do a run a whole size smaller than your actual size. I am a true 8 and I ordered a 9 and it fits perfect.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great shoulder season boot Great when it's muddy, raining, or when the snow's fallen and is packed down. Surprisingly warm and comfortable. And BONUS - they're super cute too! I like that the ankle can be cinched in a bit, so they're a bit more fitted. I'm normally a 7/5-8, and the 8.5 fit w/o my big toe bumping.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Beautiful boots These boots are gorgeous & so comfy they feel like slippers. They do run small though so Size up 1/2 size at least. I’m an 8-8.5 and went with a 9.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Beautiful rain boots I love these boots, they are so stylish and also very warm, they are easy to put in and out, I love the brown color on top of the boot and the buckle.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from First Sorel Purchase Love these boots. Very cozy and stylish. I'm between a 5.5 and 6. The 5.5 was snug, and the 6 fit just right. I'm able to wear one pair of thick (wool) socks, but if you want to wear two, I'd suggest going a half a size up. Since they're lined, I do not think it is necessary to wear two socks. Have received so many compliments!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Fantastic Boots This weekend I went to Cataloochee, NC. It was windy and between 25-35 degrees. I had a pair of non-waterproof hiking tennis shoes, but since it was cold, wet, and these boots were so cozy and waterproof, I opted to keep my ankles warm and go with the boots. While I wouldn't say these boots were designed for hiking, they held up on a 6-mile hike like champs. I usually use these boots for walking around in town and have walked 5-7 miles in them (with $10 inserts) on numerous occasions and no problems at all. I would definitely recommend them on even colder days. I own 3 pairs of Sorel boots, and this pair is so versatile that I wear them more than I wear my other two pairs combined.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Winter Fancy This was my first snow boot purchase. I was pleasantly surprised. For the price, the quality is wonderful. Warm, sturdy materials. The boot is a little “stiffer” than I am use to at first around the ankle but I adjusted easily. Overall, great buy.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Can't wait to wear these boots Wore them on the first snowfall and I'm happy. They are warm and comfortable. But do order 1/2 size up as stated in other reviews, they run a little narrow.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Dreamy! I love Sorel. I am very dedicated to this brand. I have owned three pairs of their boots over the years (Only three because they last FOREVER!) This particular boot is the shortest i've owned. Warm, soft, flexible. Just a dream to wear. Thank you Sorel!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love These boots are so cute, warm and awesome. They are perfect for many outfits! I was worried about how they'd look on my legs (I'm super short) but these fit great and look great!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Cozy These boots came just in time for NYC's first snow fall and kept my feet warm and dry through all of the snow and slush. The one downfall is the boots don't always have good traction indoors. I nearly slipped several times while walking inside subways and other building floors. Overall, would recommend.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Never Want to Take Them Off I received my Fancy Lace II Boots this morning and am in love! After reading reviews I was pretty nervous about sizing. I measure a 7.5 B with most of my width being in my toes, with a narrow heel, neutral arches, and a slightly high volume foot. I tend to wear a size 8.5 in boots to accommodate for thicker socks and any swelling that might occur so probably 90% of my shoes are an 8.5. For these shoes I ordered a 9 and was still pretty worried about the width of the shoe but was pleasantly surprised when they arrived that they were a perfect fit. I have about a thumb’s length of room in the front and while I don’t think I could go super thick on socks, I can comfortably wear lightweight wool socks which is all I need in the Carolinas. The fleece lining is super cozy, I don’t find my feet overheating, but it definitely adds to the comfort level of the shoe. They seem well built and I love the design. The Elk brown color is gorgeous, especially contrasted against the creamy fur. I am very happy with these shoes and think they were definitely worth the money. I haven’t taken them off since I received them almost 2 hours ago.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great boots I bought these for my wife. They fit true to size for her. They kept her warm and dry this weekend during our first snow of the year.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from WAY too small I measured my foot, rounded up and still added a size larger based on reviews. I normally wear a size EU 38. I ordered a 39 and still too small. Wanted a waterproof attractive boot but apparently only if I'm using bananas for feet. Not only were they very narrow, but the top of my toes were touching the tip of the boot. And they're charging me $6 to return them. I expected more from Sorel. I own THREE other pairs from Sorel and didn't have this issue. Last pair purchased as recently as two years ago. I'm getting a pair of Merrell's.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Fit is Small Great looking boot, I believe it will be comfortable provided I can figure out My size in your Sorel name brand of boots. I am true size 9. I sized up to 10 because of review suggestions. Unfortunately size 10 is too small as well with a winter stocking. Considering it is a winter boot, the sizing of this particular boot needs to be reevaluated because I don’t believe it to be accurate at all. Hope the 10.5 fits my size 9 foot.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Love hate relationship I love these boots and loved them well for a year until the strap ripped off from the back. I'm so disappointed. I wore them for one whole winter season and got them out again this fall when they broke. Now I can't wear them because I can't tie them with the strap broken. they seem really well made except for how the straps are sewn to the back of the boot. They are too expensive for this to happen after one season of wear and unfortunately they aren't under the one year warranty anymore. So sad :(

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Comfy, warm, and fashionable boots These boots are my favorite for the winter season! They are super comfortable, keep my feet warm, and also look cute with lots of different outfits!! I am so happy I made this purchase and have worn them a lot since the moment I got them!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Cute and light This is the perfect boot for those rainy days when you don’t want to wear clunky rain boots. They do not keep your feet very warm, i would recommend going up a size up than you normally wear and put thicker socks on. So glad i bought these!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great winter Errand Boot! I love these boots! They are my go-to boots to run errands during the winter. They aren't as warm as I would hope, but they are extremely comfortable and have a really classic style that looks great with everything!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from winter boots these boots are very warm and tight fitting, they weren't what i was expecting but they are really high quality.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great boots These boots are solidly made and the black color cuts a clean profile. I am a size 9.5 and I ordered a size 10. They fit great with a little extra room for thick socks, but not enough for my orthotics. I wore them traveling for 14 hours straight with comfort and no issues.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love this boot Love this boot. I ordered these for when it snows but still wanted something cute to wear out that would stand up to the cold and the snow. They are warm, comfortable and look great on! Especially with pleather leggings :)

Rated 4 out of 5 by from I LOVE THESE BOOTS! I love these boots, I love the style, I love the look and feel of them! The only negative I have to say is that they are a little snug. I normally wear an 8, and in other reviews I noticed other customers said these ran small so I ordered an 8.5 but they are still a little snug. Once my feet are in they feel just fine. I tried to wear a pair of thicker socks with these and could barely get my foot in them. But like I said, other than the snug issue - I am absolutely in love with these. I have already received plenty of complements on them!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Incredibly Comfortable I have had my eyes on these boots for some time now. I was going back and forth between the Conquest Carly 2, Joan of Arctic, and the Slimboot Lace but ultimately settled on the Fancy Lace 2. I couldn't be happier with my choice. I bought true to my size and they fit perfectly with medium wool socks. The craftsmanship and quality of materials used are part of what make them so attractive and are true to the photos represented on the Sorel website. I plan to wear these boots on a regular daily basis throughout the rest of winter and spring. I have worn them for three days straight since receiving them and no complaints to report. I haven't had any blisters, sore areas, irritation... I would highly recommend them! I am so happy with my purchase and plan to buy Sorel again.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Warm and stylish! I am a true 8.5 so I originally bought a size 9 but they just seemed too big. I exchanged them for a 8.5 and they are perfect. At first the seam between the toe and the rest of the boot was a bit tight but after a few wears they loosened up and fit great now. I live in the mountains in Utah and tried them out in a blizzard today while digging out my car. 2 hours later and my feet were still toasty! Definitely recommend.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from My first sorel purchase I tried this product on in store and loved the comfortable warmth of the shoe, very cute and stylish. I know they say waterproof but should I still spray them with protection spray?

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Not worth it Obviously these boots are adorable, there's no denying that. However, when you pay X amount for them you would hope that they would hold up! After 2 months of wearing them the rubber or cork on the heel started to wear through. It is completely slick underneath! The things dang near killed me. After about a winter of wearing them, the siding started to tear, rendering them useless as water resistant boots. If you want them for looks, great. Function ehhhh I might try something a little more reliable.
Date published: 2017-01-19
Rated 3 out of 5 by from Pretty boot, way too small. After reading previous reviews, I purchased this boot a half size bigger than what I would normally wear. After getting them, my toe still touched the end of the boot. What is the biggest bummer is you have to pay for shipping both ways, which I find a little crazy when spending top dollar for a pair of shoes. I went ahead and ordered a full size higher and am waiting to see how they fit.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Simply terrible These boots are very stylish for winter and I get compliments all the time. I also think they are warm. But none of that will do you any good when they fall apart after one season. The strap on the side tore off after about 20 times of wearing the boot. The lining has completely ripped up. I loosen the boot completely before taking them on and off and still hear stitching ripping when they come off my feet. The bottom has started to separate as well. Basically these boots fell apart. I bought them expecting them to "last forever" as most Sorel lovers claim. They made it one season. And mind you I literally only wear these to walk to my car and then walk a half a block to work. They couldn't hold up to a short daily walk in the winter. I regret buying these so much.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Stylish but not functional I bought these boots while I lived in Jackson Hole, WY for a low profile yet stylish snow boot for apres ski and walking around town. I've had them for just over 2 years now. While I receive many compliments, these boots are not very functional for light wear in snow. My toes are always cold even in 30-40 degree weather and after just 2 years they are starting to leak. They are very difficult to get on and off- I actually broke the cute strap around the top of the boot trying to get them on and off the first month I bought them. The liner is non removable and rips/inside-outs itself every time I take the boots on and off. I now live in Portland, OR and my feet are freezing and wet when we have an occasional snowstorm. I would recommend getting heavier boot for snow, even for lighter wear. I would also recommend that Sorel put a loop on this boot to make it easier to take on and off and put a thicker and removable liner inside.
