How to Measure Your Foot

  • Place your feet flat on a piece of paper and mark your longest toe and the back of your foot. It's best to do this standing and wearing socks
  • Measure the length (cm) straight from your longest toe to the back of your foot using a ruler or measuring tape.
  • Use the chart to find your size.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Life in cold country! Spend eleven years of my life in Alaska,in rubber boots and Sorels. For warmth and comfort,Sorels are hard to beat.Gave that pair to charity cause we're all born bare footed and someone needed them more than I did at the time.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent and Warm Boots I bought these for my daughter's boyfriend and he loves them - very useful for stomping around in the snow or on cold days!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Hands down the best winter buy I used to have a pair just like these boots but after several years of great use they got too small and I had to buy a new pair. From walking class to class, sledding with my cousins, ice fishing with my dad, you name it these boots can do it all. I love this product and it is easily the most sensible purchase I could've made going into this winter season. They're warm and comfortable and couldn't be a better boot for whatever the day has in store.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent Boot This is the most comfortable boot I have ever worn. I recently purchased it and have worn it only a bit as it is summer and it is a winter boot. Boot it is super comfortable and I am confident it will keep my feet warm and dry in the coming winter.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Caribou boots work! My first caribou boots have been working for twenty five years! putting them through heavy use in snow and on ice. Quality, hardworking boot I'd say! Just got a new pair after all this time and look forward to another impressive run.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Premium priced boot.Rubber cracking after minimal use over 3 years. Great quality boot, but only for 3 years with around 14 days use per year. Rubber around top of foot now cracking and allowing cold air, snow and water to enter. Tread is near pristine, with minimal amount of use. 1 year warranty for a premium product with premium price is very poor.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Must Have This Unit If you venture out where your life is on the menu by mother nature you must have this boot. A moderate operator will only attain moderate performance with premium equipment and a skilled operator will attain the best available performance of moderate equipment. When you need premium performance out of your equipment to match your skills when your life is out there you need this boot to attain that level of performance.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Lasts the Distance I bought my Sorel Caribou's in 1988. Spent two winters wearing them every day, and 10days/year since. These boots are fantastic. Kept the feet really warm and dry throughout the harshest weather that winter could throw at them and they are still going strong. Highly recommend them to any buyer looking for a serious snow boot.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Love the boots, though a bit wide I got these boots just in time for a storm and they kept my feet warm and dry. I love them! I have narrow feet, so these boots fit pretty wide. While thicker socks definitely help, I couldn't seem to get the laces tight enough. Certainly not a deal breaker though. The length was true to size.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Sorel Caribou Boots--Excellent Product! Bought these to take on a ski/snowmobile/dogsled/snowshoe trip to Big Sky. First impressions: durable, great traction, relatively light, warm! Wore merino wool boot socks and they fit true to size. Like the color and the classic style. Seem like they could handle quite a bit of abuse and would hold up well! Love them!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from FANTASTIC PRODUCT! I bought your caribou men's boots about 4 years ago and it is a fantastic product. My feet fit comfortably and stay dry. I love that the lining comes out. I just wish your manufactured it in the USA.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Used to be great... not any more I used to be a tremendous fan of Sorel, particularly the formerly tried and true Caribou. All through the 80s and 90s these were fantastic. But now, the rubber they use is garbage. It cracks in the first 6 weeks! I've gone through two pair in two seasons. The soles aren't even warn, but the sides have pulled away from the Uppers and the flex points (where your toes hit your foot, where they bend in each step) simply crack open! Terrible. The uppers are still great, the design is great, the self cleaning soles work beautifully, the liners are fine, but the Rubber is horrid. Surly they still know what their original recipe for rubber was... why not go back to that? How simple would that be? But for what ever reason, they are allowing their flag ship boot to become worthless. Buy something else.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Mens Caribou Boot The boot seems nice but they were too large and I did not like the loose insert. Also, they were hard to get on even though they were too big. I have subsequently returned the boots.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Very warm and practical, but durable? My pair of Carbou boots seem really good, they're true (-ish) to size, maybe a little roomy but I like the option to fit very thick socks. They are warm and they are waterproof. I appreciate the heavily lugged sole over other similar Sorel styles, as it's grippy. If my experience ended there, they'd get 5 stars. However, originally I bought the Sorel 1964 nylon boots, and a part of the rubber bottom was dry rotted after just a month. Sorel replaced them, thankfully. So, my Carbous are very nice, and they do the job very well. But I'm concerned about how long they'll last; based on my own Sorel experience.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Leaky. I really wanted these boots to last the rest of my life, really! I wanted to be one of the people that you see at the mountain, at the bar, in the yard, at the post office wearing my beloved Sorels. However, I hardly even used these at all until they started leaking. I began using them to slip on and off to feed my dogs outside, and before I knew it, they leaked. They leak in the rain, in the snow, everywhere! I wish my feet would stay dry, I love the look!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from If you fits are ten and half You can buy your boots 0.5 less than your size. For example, I am size 10.5 and the boots that I bought were 10.5 which were too big. So you can buy a boots size 10.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Great boot but WAY too large I normally wear a size 9...across the board. I'm rarely a different size in any shoe. So, I ordered a size 9 in these and they are enormous. They feel at least a size and a half larger. The boots are warm and waterproof which is exactly what I was looking for in this boot. They are well made and super durable.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from from Russia with love! I live in Russia ... and I can say with confidence - these boots are best for the Russian winter! We've got a national winter shoes made of felt wool, called "valienki", but they are somewhat outdated and banter look at the present, but Sorel Caribou is very appropriate for all their heat and is waterproof!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from This product exceeded my expectations I purchased my first pair of boots from Sorel and it was worth every penny. I ordered them online and wasn't too sure if they would fit because buying boots is tricky! However these boots are true to size, amazing quality and they're so nice! I get a lot of compliments. I wore them today for the first and they're so comfortable, warm, and cozy. I recommend these 100%

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Buy They were an early Christmas gift for my son. He said, "they are the best boots I've ever had", and he lives in the snowbelt!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great boot a Little Big. The sizing is slightly too large, however the boot is still excellent in craftmanship and quality. I do have a problem with the boot being too good in regards to warmth. I can't wear them indoors for too long, but it will be great for the deep snow.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Skeptical but optomistic I just bought these to replace a 27 year old pair of Canadian SOREL Manitou's. After waiting to find a good deal on these I went a head a bought a pair after disregarding several poor reviews on this site. I'm hoping that SOREL has made some improvements over the materials and these boots hold up as long as my old pair. I'd like to remember SOREL as the same quality outdoor company my Grandfather used. I'm pretty hard on my boot as a Police Officer and Firefighter and depend on them during the winter months. Be assured that I will update my review after a few months of use-we're getting 8-10" of snow now as I write this.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from men's caribou boots Had to return the first pair, because my husband wanted enough room for heavy socks. We didn't need the extra length,so I reordered a smaller size!! The construction and quality are Good!! The size 7 are very comfortable and perfect fit!!Bring on the cold!!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Poor Materials In Construction Hope these are better than the previous three pairs I have had to return every year for the past three years. Boots tend to crack at flex points of foot after wearing for a couple months.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Heavy Boots Very heavy and confining boots. Unless you want to carry around leg weights, don't do it! They are also very small compared to normal shoes. It cost me over $26 in shipping that was lost since u had to return them. That's wrong to punish the consumer for a misfit.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Very poor and not the first I have had several pair of Sorel Boots from the Conquest to the Caribou, Conquest is Ok but the Caribou is very poor quality in respect to leakage. Now I would figure once you hit the height of the leather in wet conditions you would get possible leaking but on 2 pairs I have had the soles split and leak. No excuse for this, better product out there.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from For show I am a plumber in colorado. They do not keep warm. They cracked the rubber the first winter I had them. Happened to my wife's boots twice. Good fit and comfortable other wise. Great if you live in a place where you don't have to worry about the weather elements or you just want to be stylish with poor quality boots.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Avoid! Broke my heart.. Loved these boots! Thought they would be with me for years down the road... referred to them as "My Sorels", as if they were close friends... 14 months later the rubber dry rotted. A common theme I saw in reviews.., with only a 12 month warranty...? :( its just not fair.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from No longer the best I have been wearing Sorel's since I was 13. I wore those first boots from 13-39. I was in the Scouts, and wore them a lot when I was younger. The only reason I retired those boots was because the leather was breaking down a little (only a little). I saw these boots and I had to have them. I got the black on black version. I loved them. They look beautiful. They are warm, comfortable, and dry. In about 1.5 years of light use, the rubber cracked. And by light use, I used them to snow blow my driveway a hand full of times and I took a couple of walks in the park. They cracked so bad I can put my whole finger through the hole. I am so disappointed! Others have said the same thing. I would not buy Sorel's again until they address the issue. I don't except them to last 25 years, but I do except them to last a long time. There is no reason that quality boots shouldn't last a long time.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Cracked rubber Buyer beware!!! The rubber is of poor quality and will crack after minimal use. Poor quality and not worth the wet feet later. I use to be a Sorel believer. I can't stand beside or "in" these boots anymore.
Date published: 2016-01-20
Rated 1 out of 5 by from Cracked rubber I thought for the price I was getting a quality product. I was expecting a warm, durable boot. I was surprised after 1.5 years of very light use(maybe worn 20 times in normal snowy conditions) the rubber began cracking on both boots in the same spot. I will try to exchange them or get them fixed, but I will never buy a pair of sorel boots again. They are pretty warm, but obviously poor quality overall. They are not made to last.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from My Second Pair I love the quality or Sorel Caribou boots. They work great for snowmobiling. This is my second pair and I find that they fit a bit small compared to my original boots that came from Canada... the Chinese version are not as true size as my original boots but the quality of workmanship appears to be there....dry, warm, and comfortable.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Outstanding Quality & service Been a few years since I purchased Sorel boots. I had forgotten how well they fit and the quality of construction. Anyone needing a product that will last for years and fit properly Sorel is for you!

Rated 3 out of 5 by from This boot was way too big! My husband normally wears a 10.5 shoe. We were warned that these boots ran "a little large" so we ordered a size 10, but they were still HUGE! I was not happy to pay $21 dollars to send them back! But we did in exchange for a size 9, and they are still too large! But we decided to live with them rather than paying another $21 dollars....

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Loves them! I have been wearing Sorel boots for years. I purchased a pair for my husband who has never had a pair before. He is VERY excited for his toes to stay warm and dry this winter! He really likes the quality of the boot and knows they are going to be his go to for many years to come! He wears a size 11 shoe, he thought he was going to need an 11.5, I told him they are true to size. Sure enough, 11 is perfect even if he needs to put a heavier sock!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from How I was paid to wear these boots. Around 7 years ago I went shopping and saw these boots. Tried them on. Liked them, walked away not buying because I found them expensive. Next time at X-mas sales I saw the boots again at - 50% off and finally bought them. After several days I noticed a lirttle flaw with the sole on right (Most probably the sole was not glued properly.) I went back to the shop and wanted to returned them, but I lost the receipt. The cashier asked me the date of purchase. By mistake I told her wrong date and got FULL PRICE 100% money back!!! I could not believe it. :) The shop just paid me 50% of price for nothing. Several days after I came into the shop again and saw the same exact pair which just I returned for 75%off the starting price. (They put notice on tags about a small flaw with the sole.) I remembered that the shop paid me already 50% of the price by mistake and decided to buy these lucky boots again. I just glued at home with superglue and that was it. This is how I got these superb boots for free and even got paid 25% of the price. Just imagine: you are getting free pair of boots and get paid 25% of the price as bonus!!!!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Rubber Cracked in TWO pairs. Here in Vermont, we depend heavily on our snow boots during the long New England winter. I purchased a pair of Caribous in 2012 to replace a competitor's pair that had lasted me over 15 Vermont Winters. Half way through Winter I noticed that the rubber around the toes had developed a crack. The cracking grew longer and wider as Winter progressed resulting in wet, cold feet every day. I work outdoors 80% of the time,so this was a miserable personal experience. $149 down the drain. I suspected that the first pair was a fluke and, since I do like how Caribou's look, I took the plunge and purchased another pair the following year. The same thing happened: during Winter rubber cracked and crept around the toes resulting in soggy inserts and cold wet feet again! Out of pocket another $150! In my opinion this product is sub-par.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from WON'T BUY THEM AGAIN Because I will not need to. I bought my Sorel Caribou's more than 30 years ago and they are still going strong. Very warm and since they are more than THIRTY YEARS OLD it goes without saying the quality cannot be beat. You can buy a cheaper pair but then you will need to buy another pair to replace the cheap ones. Don't remember what I paid for them but at todays prices they cost me $5 a year. I did make two modifications, I heated the boots with a hair dryer and coated the outsides with Sno-Seal which is a combination of paraffin and bees wax. Also I coated the liners with liquid Plasti Dip. It is a rubber coating used to dip tools into to form a rubber grip. After that I could stand in deep water and not a drop touched my foot. Who passes down shoes? I will because these things won't wear out.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from They last and last ! Have them for 16yrs. Just wear them when I sell at the farmers market each year.Make sure you wear woolen socks and your feet will never feel cold again.
