An Australian filmmaker, born in Sydney, Madeline Kelly brings a true uniqueness to her craft. She has mastered the retelling of the human experience with energy and emotion that is hard to find elsewhere. Her films are honest, authentic, and well-told.
She is a Young Director Award Finalist and her work has won a Canne Lion, been nominated for AICP, OneShow and St Kilda Film Festival awards and won Best Film at Melbourne Queer Film Festival and Sydney QueerFest. Her short films have screened at 20+ prestigious film festivals internationally.
Madeline’s work spans real, scripted, performance-driven and visceral genres to reframe the struggles of the human experience as the common denominator that brings us together.
So, naturally, she was a perfect fit.
