How to Measure Your Foot

  • Place your feet flat on a piece of paper and mark your longest toe and the back of your foot. It's best to do this standing and wearing socks
  • Measure the length (cm) straight from your longest toe to the back of your foot using a ruler or measuring tape.
  • Use the chart to find your size.

So Painful!!!! I bought a new pair of Sorel's this winter (and the leather ripped off so I have to send them in for 4-6 weeks- outrageous) and now I am left with wearing the Joan of Arctic boots that I purchased last winter. I forgot why I HATE THEM. They cut into your skin right above the back of your ankle- and I was wearing two pairs of socks today. I have two huge areas of raw skin because of these. These boots are NOT MADE FOR WALKING, just for looks in your closet. And after my most recent issue with my OTHER pair- I don't think I would recommend Sorel's in general. Horrible quality. January 12, 2015
fashion meets funtion I got these 2014 winter.. they are atractive. Yet totally warm. All day hear in a Montana winter which are average degrees runs - 20 to 20 degrees I do find that I have to re-waterproof them every once in awhile and that I prefer to air them out at night but that's just me i like them toasty warm when I put them on the next day January 10, 2015
The BEST boot EVER I got these in the tobacco brown color. I live in the Erie Pa area where we get a lot of snow. I wore them in -3 weather and about a foot of snow and stayed VERY warm and dry. I was worried they would be too big/wide looking in the foot because of other reviews....but they are not. My husband HATES my red hunter rain boots and will not allow me to wear them around him....but he said these ones are actually pretty cool....I am 45 and think anyone young or old could wear them. I will order the tan as soon as they come back in stock in my size. Don't hesitate.....they are great!! I usually wear an 8 or 8.5 and the 8 is great. January 10, 2015
Well made Just got these boots today and I put them on and they were so comfortable and warm! They are very well made and I think they are going to last me a very long time:) I recommend this product and I will definitely be purchasing Sorel boots again. January 9, 2015
Disappointing These were the most expensive pair of shoes I've ever bought and I had high hopes they would be great for the Chicago winters. They arrived, were super cute, and seemed to feel great when I wore them around my apartment. Then I headed into the snow and began my normal trek with my dog. The boots started cutting in above the ankles. I was wearing thick socks but could still feel the boot bending and cutting in with every step! So painful. I feel sick thinking about the money I spent on these and that they ended up being too uncomfortable to wear for my everyday walks with my dog and walking commute to work. January 9, 2015
Wonderfully Warm After a long time of admiring these boots, I finally pulled the trigger and bought them. I tried them out today, and they were incredibly warm and comfortable. I am a 9 across the board and ordered a 9.5 to allow extra wiggle room for my toes (winter boots should not fit snug like a shoe) and they fit perfect. I definitely recommend these if you get cold toes easily like me! January 8, 2015
Good if you just want to stand in the snow Boot was very true to size and were definitely warm. For an expensive boot though, the construction quality was horrendous. Wore the boot around my house to test them out with high socks and had massive blisters on the backs of my ankles after 5 minutes from the stitching on the inside. Would not recommend. January 8, 2015
Narrow feet I have waited since last winter to purchase these boots, although the color I truly wanted was again out of stock; I took a chance & order the boots in another color & a size up after the socks comments. Before putting the boot on I can see they were huge. I am a 8 but b/c of having narrow feet I can wear a 7.5. If you have a similar issue get your true size or a size down. The boots are wide. SOREL BOOTS -Digging Heel Problem First, let me start off by saying that I LOVE SOREL BOOTS. I really do, I adore them, but I can't help but to address the digging heel problem that everyone keeps bringing up! Yes -- it's true: the boot digs into the back of your ankle, and creates blisters if not guarded. Its a horrible burning sensation that usually comes up when wearing SOREL boots, after 10 minutes of constant walking. I am by no means a SOREL Virgin. The Joan of Arctic boots are my Second Pair of Sorel boots. My first were the CARIBOU boots. They're much heavier and for negative 40 temps! So anyhow, I have come up with a consumer solution to the blister heel problem: --roll down your socks. That sounds weird right? But it works. What I mean by this is, SOREL boots work best if you wear thick Hiking Socks (i prefer Smart Wool Men's Heavy Hiking Socks), make sure they are Crew cut, NOT ankle cut, and then pull them up, and fold the top part of the sock down to where it meets the back of your ankle. Essentially, you are doubling the protection on the back of your ankle, which will in turn reduce the friction that you are experiencing. And another tip, what I like to do is, after doubling down or rolling down that first pair of thick pair of hiking socks, I pull one more pair of TALL fashion socks over that, as like a third barrier of ankle protection, to give that slouchy lumberjack aesthetic. So there you have it, just roll the top of your crew cut sock down to cover the back of your ankle/heel. xoxo UrbanGrrrl January 7, 2015
beautuful, warm, but painful I live in the northeast and we have pretty harsh COLD winters. I found them to be true to size. No way could I have gone down a full size like some are suggesting. These boots definitely keep my feet and calves warm, and I love how they look BUT they hurt the backs of my feet something fierce. The boot fits perfectly, it just bends in a weird way when you take a step and it digs into the Achilles area so hard. I can only wear them for 10 minutes to shovel the sidewalk or to run my kids to the bus stop before I can't take the pain anymore. So disappointed because I love the style and paid so much for them :( January 7, 2015
Great for neuropathy sufferer! I have peripheral neuropathy. My feet are sensitive to a painful extreme. A grain of sand in a shoe is very literally as irritating as a bee sting. These boots are smooth and comfortable inside. For me to use the word comfortable in reference to footwear is a rarity. Nearly everything hurts. These boots do not. In addition, I need a roomy toe box. Any pressure on my forefoot is intolerable. These boots have the room I need for my forefoot. With any footwear, I intentionally purchase a size larger than my correct size for that extra room. I measure at a U.S. size 8, but purchased a 9. The toe box is roomy, but not enough for me to wear a thick sock. These are smaller than I expected. However, I do not expect that I will need a thick sock. I absolutely must have a warm boot. If my feet get cold for any reason, my neuropathic pain escalates to 7 out of 10 on the pain scale and remains at this debilitating extreme for 8 hours or more and does not respond to my routine medication. In Iowa, temps can often be as low as the range for which these boots are rated, -25 F, -32 C. These boots keep my feet nicely warm. Today, it is only -9 F. I was out for about 45 minutes to clear snow. My feet never knew I was outside :) :) :) !! With this and the comfort, I hope these boots will last the rest of my life!! I'm SO happy, I had to come back to write this review. I'm happy with footwear! This 'never' happens! My only other comment is that these boots are stiff and heavy, as others have said. I expect this in a good quality, waterproof, warm winter boot, with emphasis on warm. I can easily accept the boot feeling to feel safely warm and protected from the cold and other hazards of winter weather and work. Though they feel sturdy, they certainly don't look like a clunky boot. In the black with red laces and with a slim outline, it's just plain fun to look this good without sacrificing the function I must have!! I just love these boots!! January 6, 2015
disappointed. I ordered the Taffy Joan of Arctic in size 9 because I listened to the comments. BIG mistake. I am sending them back for size 8. Next. The Taffy color is not at all like the yellow hue on the website. The leather tabs the laces go through are not light in color but are actually dark brown. I do not know who took the photo for the website but it doesn't portray the boots accurately at all. I am hoping to send mine back and wait for brown to be in stock again. My first order was back in September and I have waited all this time just to have them not fit and not look like the photo so yeah, Merrry Christmas to me didn't work out so well. I received the boots the first week of January. Sept to January is a long wait. January 6, 2015
Well made and warm I've been watching these boots for a year and finally decided to purchase. After reading the reviews I wasn't sure what size so I followed the fit guide. They are slightly big but when worn with thick socks they fit. They're functional but cute. Although they do make my feet look huge. January 6, 2015
Awsome boots !! Very comfortable and hot !!! And the look is awesome ! I'm absolutely in love with those boots ! I have lots of compliments about them ! January 6, 2015
Better than I could have hoped! I was hunting down these boots for quite sometime and finally found them at the local Blue Ridge Mountain Sports!! They are PERFECT! Truly the cutest snow boots I have seen in years and extremely warm. The fit is perfect and I have gotten a lot of compliments on them! I would definitely recommend to anyone looking for a great pair of boots that are absolutely adorable! January 5, 2015
Warm but clunky and don't last I bought these boots two years ago, and they have served me fairly well in the cold and snow of upstate New York. They are exceptionally clunky, but I didn't mind too much because they are so warm. I am very disappointed, however, because when I wore them for the first time this winter, I noticed a big crack in the sole (by my heel) which makes them fairly useless in the snow as they are no longer waterproof. I have had north face boots for 7 years that are in better shape. Disappointing! January 4, 2015
Too big and not as warm as I'd hoped I ordered my Joan of Arctic boots in my standard shoe size and they are way too big. I wish I bought a half or even a whole size smaller. Additionally, my toes freeze in these boots, even in 2 pairs of socks. Granted, my toes freeze in most boots, but with the temperature grade on these boots I was hoping for more. December 26, 2014
very cute! Super stylish. Fit is slightly large. December 25, 2014
Extremely uncomfortable! I have owned Sorels for years. In reading the reviews prior to purchasing some mentioned a heal issue. I purchased thinking there would be a break in period. They have gotten worse to the point of making a raw spot on my heal. I'm on vacation and had to purchase another pair of boots. Will be returning. I do not recommend these boots. December 24, 2014
Warm n comfortable I Love them . They feel like happy boots because they are springy not heavy. December 18, 2014
Very pleased The boot is so good looking and the fit is perfect. I love the you can remove the liner.... For a different look. December 16, 2014
Love, love, love I live in Milwaukee and commute to Chicago regularly so wanted something to keep my feet dry and warm. These fit the bill. I absolutely LOVE my Sorel's! They are comfortable, super cute, and keep my feet dry and warm. I debated which size to get after reading the reviews and ended up purchasing my normal size. I'm glad I did. They are slightly big, but I can wear thicker socks and don't have to worry about rubbing in the wrong places. Perfect for Chicago/Milwaukee winters. December 16, 2014
temp rating off I am a drained outdoors woman and I have found this boot not to spec on temp rating. My feet actually got chilly maybe down right cold at about 15 degrees. Even though I live in CT. .. I travel to Maine and Alaska often. Also.. the wear on these boots soles is insane. .. I have maybe trekked about 20 miles since receiving them and the heel is already worn on the outside considerably. Overall a great stylish boot...but I have found it is not true to its temp rating...or sole durability. If you are a fashion conscious person..grab it...they're gorgeous...but for an outdoors woman...It's not appropriate. December 11, 2014
In love! I had debated which size to get after reading the reviews and ended up deciding to purchase my normal size. I'm glad I did. The boot fits slightly big, but I'm able to wear thicker socks and not have to worry about rubbing in wrong places. They are beautiful boots and I'm so happy with them! They keep my feet super warm, their INCREDIBLY comfortable, and adorable. Perfect for Wisconsin winters. I'd recommend these to any and everyone! December 11, 2014
I'm in LOVE Bought these boots at work on Black Friday. Best thing I have ever purchased! These boots are true to size and are great for any situation when the weather drops. They are very cute with a pair of skinny jeans. They are amazing!!! December 9, 2014
Great and cute boot These boots are great! I used the size guide on the site. My foot measured about 24.5cm so I got a size 8. I wouldn't be able to wear a thick sock but that's fine because the liner is warm! The liner also has a great lil ribbon detail on the outside seam :) Hasn't snowed here yet but great in the cold rain. Can't wait to take these cuties to Russia! December 8, 2014
Um, YES. The Joan of Arctic boots are exactly what I wanted them to be, and MORE. They're stylish, incredibly warm when it's really cold outside, and don't overheat my feet when I wear them to class. I am generally a 7.5 in all shoes, sometimes an 8. I don't consider my feet narrow - perhaps even a little wide. My Sorels are a 6 with room to wiggle my toes in semi-thick socks. Size down at LEAST a full size! I was afraid they'd be too snug, but the liners stretch a bit with wear. You won't be disappointed with these! December 8, 2014
Aggravates plantar fasciitis Fabulous quality boot, which due to the raised forefoot height unfortunately instantly aggravates plantar fasciitis. Even with a significant heel lift placed under the foot liner, this boot caused heel pain that lasted 48 hours after only 30 minutes of wear. The heel height is listed as 1", but given height of forefoot, is probably closer to a net of 0 to ¼". Disaster for anyone who suffers from PF. December 7, 2014
Happy Feet! After struggling for years with either cold toes or large boots, I finally found the perfect boot for outdoor walking and activities. I tried on this boot at Cabela's, but the fit was too tight. I was told to go up one size. My feet, however, were extremely warm and the boot fit snuggly against my legs. I ordered online 1 size larger, and my feet, and dog, are now happy walking outside in the winter! December 6, 2014
I don't like these in person as much as online... I finally ordered these after not being able to find them in my size last year. I usually wear a 7.5-8 in shoes. I used the size chart and ordered 7.5 and they fit perfectly. When I tried them on they are a bit uncomfortable. I'm not sure if they just need to be broken in or what, but the back is really stiff and makes me walk a little funny. Also the toe box and the area around the ankles is HUGE and I feel like I am clomping around when I wear these. I also don't think they are super warm. I will definitely need to wear thick socks with them. My friend has the Tofino boots and I think those fit a lot better. If I hadn't already worn these out to test them out I would exchange them. December 6, 2014
FINALLY FOUND THEM I have been in search of these boots for over a month. I finally have purchased these in the shale color. They have been sold out everywhere, literally everywhere. I live in Michigan and I didn't want to go through another winter without a pair of hardy boots. These boots seem like they will be perfect! They are stylish and claim to be able to weather crazy cold temps. My best friends father said he purchased a pair of Sorel boots in college and his are still in good shape and he still wears them... He's owned them for about 20 years! That is what sold me because they are expensive. I am generally a size 9.5 but i bought a 9. I bought a half size down because they were the last pair in store and I was afraid that I would never be able to find them again before snow hits. I tried them on with two pairs of thick socks and walked around the store and was comfortable! So I feel as if they run slighty big. I would definitely recommend these to anyone that has to go in snow! December 5, 2014
Great winter boots! I just moved to Colorado from Arizona. I was in dire need of some winter boots, and I decided on the Joan of arctic style because they seemed popular here and had great reviews online. I initially purchased these boots in the slate color in size 5. I usually wear a 5-5.5. I had a feeling the boots wouldn't be the best fit, but I bought the slate boots in a rush when there was literally only one more slate color available in only size 5. They fit fine but would have been slightly uncomfortable to wear for long periods of time or with thick socks. I ended up having to return them since I didn't think spending ~$200 on shoes that didn't fit right was worth it. The customer service was absolutely amazing. Because I returned my boots by mail a day or two after receiving them, I received a full refund for the shoes as well as the cost of shipping to my house. It was so easy and hassle-free. I did end up finding the right size on Amazon a few days later (go figure...). Now that I have the right size, the shoes are very comfortable and warm. They provide good insulation against the snow, especially if you wear thick socks or layer your socks. The only downside I've noticed so far is that the panel of rubber at the back of the boots that connects the calves and the ankles is quite stiff and can make it slightly difficult to walk. However, I've only noticed this being an inconvenience when I've tried to flex my ankles. As long as you're not trying to run a spring or climb up a thousand flights of stairs, I don't think it will prove to be a huge problem. I liked my boots so much that my sister went out the very next day and found a pair in size 7. She wears sizes 7-7.5, and she actually thought size 7 was a better fit for her. So... In terms of sizing, I'd highly recommend going to a retailer and trying on a few pairs in different sizes, even if they're not the exact style you're looking for, before ordering online if possible. December 3, 2014
Boots are not as warm as I thought I recently moved to Denver, and was looking to purchase a warm pair of boots that would keep my feet warm during snowy/cold days. I usually wear a size 8 or 8.5, depending on the shoe brand. I ordered a size 8 on these boots, and after I tried them on they were too tight. I returned them (which by the way was extremely expensive to do), and ordered a size 9. When I got the new size they were a little lose, but after the past experience I did not want to return them AGAIN and pay more, so I kept them. One morning I wore them to ride my bike, and to my surprise my feet were frozen after 20 minutes of pedaling. The boots did not keep my feet warm and I was not even touching snow. Also, the boots got wet on the tip of my toes. For a 150USD pair of boots and especially this brand I would expect a quality product, not what I got. They do look cute, but their function was not met at all. I would not recommend this product to anybody and will most likely not buying any Sorel products anymore. December 3, 2014
Gorgeous Boots!! I missed out on these last year due to sizing issues. These boots run a half size to a whole size bigger than I normally wear which is 8.5, also the different colors fit differently. I originally ordered the Shale in 7 and 8 on a different site, both of those boots slipped in my heal but I had toe room in the 8, tight in the 7. I ordered the Black/Sail Red in 7.5 on this site and they are perfect!! No slipping on the heal, the toe box is tight but comfortable with a wool sock. I wore them for 11 hours yesterday and they were warm and comfortable the whole day. I used the sizing guide on this site and I was between a 7.5 and 8 but closer to the 8. I have somewhat narrow feet so maybe that's why I had to go with the smaller size. December 2, 2014
Excellent Mountain Living Boots When living in Montana it is incredibly important to have a good pair of snow boots. Although going perhaps 5 to 7 years without them, my winters never really required me to walk anywhere, so I could get away with being only a tad bit miserable in the cold and wet weather. After moving to a larger town for college, I gave up my little Versa to my mom who could keep it safe over the winter. Most Montanan cities are fairly small on the scale of other states so anywhere I really need to go is a short bus ride away or in walking distance. Because I mainly rely on my feet to get me from point A to B, I began researching snow boots and visiting shoe shops to find out what would be the most ideal footwear for the long Montanan Winter. Of course, every single person I talked to recommended the Joan of Arctic Boots, or just Sorel in general. Why the Joan of Arctic is such a fantastic boot: The material is really what makes this boot so great. As most shoe shoppers know, the material of the boot is très importante. Because these boots are made from genuine fabrics and materials, they will last you forever (or minimum 10 years). Perhaps not the lining, which is great Sorel made them removable so that you can now replace the inside of the boot, because they are often the first thing to wear out. The other great aspect of this boot is that they are moderately heavy (quality materials tend to be heavier than cheaper materials), I feel this helps me feel grounded. They are incredibly warm, when I hear people complain about how cold it is outside; I think to myself I didn't notice because my feet are so warm. They are waterproof (not sure if any snowboots aren't). Maybe the most important to many buyers... FUNCTION AND FASHION. I just wanted a good functional boot, not really realizing how fashionable this boot was until I tried them on in the store. As I'm fairly girly, I love that these boots are so functional but maintain my femininity. Like most things, the Joan of Arctic boots are not perfect. The only three issues I've noticed are: That the back of legs, where you'd find your achillles tendon, chafes against the boot. This doesn't happen all of the time, mostly when I'm walking longer distances and at a faster pace. This also doesn't happen when I walk on snow, just dry ground. I haven't tried wearing a different type of sock yet (I've been wearing wool socks, this problem might not be too bad if you wear a softer material that won't rub your skin raw (not that the boots rub them raw). You might try synthetic socks that you would wear around the house especially around Christmas time.) The second issue is that they are a tad slippery on ice. Because these boots are rubber on the bottom the traction isn't as great as it could be with a different kind of material, but then again rubber is waterproof. I've slipped a couple times but have been able to catch myself so I haven't actually fallen yet. The last issue I've had with the boot is a fairly mild one. The buttons that hold the lining on them tend to come undone on their own which can be a pain if you're worried about it like me. I just feel that if they cost $150, I'd hope the snap-ons would at least work well. I've seen on another review that she had hers for less than a month and the buttons actually came off. Although this issue is annoying, it really in no way affects the purpose of the boot. The lining doesn't move even if the button is undone so if you're thinking about buying these boots, don't let that stop you. I'd say the quality of these boots are well worth the buy because the good qualities absolutely out-way the bad. But if you have a cat, put your shoes in a safe place. Mine likes to play with them, especially with his claws. I'd recommend waiting for a sale to buy these boots. I stood in line at Bob Ward's on Black Friday because my mom was actually buying them for me and I wanted to make them as cheap as possible for her. As mentioned before, they are normally $150 but after applying the discounts, I got them for $92.50. And when you get them for nearly $60 less, you don't worry too much about the chafing and the buttons coming undone. December 1, 2014
Disappointed I have these boots in the tobacco & sudan brown color, and they are very cute. But I am disappointed in the quality. The description says that they are best for casual wear and in the snow. I was tromping around in 40 degree weather yesterday (no snow), wearing a medium-thickness sock, and my toes were numb. They did stay dry after walking through a few puddles. As far as casual wear goes, that's a definite no. I've worn them once walking in the city, and it was painful and awkward. They are heavy and dig into the back of my ankles. December 1, 2014
Toasty Warm! I purchased these boots several years ago, and I love them still. I work outdoors all winter in Montana and even in -20 temps my feet stayed warm for several hours before I had to add toe warmers. Great for walking around town too, completely waterproof and comfortable. Keep in mind, these aren't slippers and are most comfortable when worn with medium to thick over-the-calf socks. I also added my Superfeet insoles, and it makes them even more supportive. My only wish is that they had a beefier outsole, instead of the herringbone. December 1, 2014
Love them! I purchased these boots and was worried that they would look like canoes because I had to order size 12. They don't and they are great! They are really warm too!! November 30, 2014
Keeps you warm Great boot, worth the price, only part of my body that was warm. I was caught in a snow storm of 2 ft. And was amazed. November 30, 2014
Perfect blend between fashion and practicality I live my boots! they are very well made with the finest materials. They are eye catching! Yes, waterproof (jumping through semi frozen water puddles), my toes were very toasty. USE THE SIZE GUIDE please. Don't try to guess your size, these boots are made to be worn by thick socks. If you use the size guide you will find the correct fit, mine fit perfectly (I wear an 8 and boots and 7.5 on sandals and pumps, according to the sizing guide I am a 7.5 which fits like a glove) They are easy to get in and our off (I leave mine loosely tied) a plus when you have impatient children haha! November 30, 2014
Love them! I ordered my normal size of an 8 and exchanged for 8.5 so I could wear big socks with them! They are extremely warm and comfortable! Best snow boot!! November 30, 2014
Absolutely perfect-Stylish, Comfortable and Super Warm Last year these boots sold out early and I had to wait 10 months to get them (black) in 8.5 but it was well worth it. This Thanksgiving in Minnesota was the coldest since 1985 but my feet stayed warm at -3 in the snow without heavy socks- med. merino wool only. They look fabulous, the fit is perfect and they are the warmest boots I've ever owned - just be prepared for the constant compliments. November 28, 2014
they are ok. I feel like they are too heavy and not flexible enough. Plus I was sliding everywhere in the snow and ice. November 25, 2014
Love the Boots I got my Joan of Artic Boots today, wow this company ships fast. Love the boots they are warm, waterproof and not to mention beautiful. They do fit a bit big, I am a true size 7, but if I ordered them 6.5 I wouldn't be able to wear thick socks. With the thicker socks they fit perfectly. This is a great boot, comfortable and easy to put on, I like the lace-up front so that I can tuck my pant bottoms into the boot. November 25, 2014
True to size. I received my boots today. I was very hesitant to order online, but I went 10+ stores IN store and online and everyone was sold out. I am a true 7.5. I tried on a size 7 in the store (the last size they had in stock) just to get a feel for them and see how they fit. They were a little snug. After reading many reviews, I went ahead and ordered my normal size. They came and they fit perfect. They fit with no socks and fit with thick socks. I am very excited to wear these this winter! With all the good things I hear about Sorel, I am sure they will keep my feet waterproof. November 25, 2014
A practically perfect winter boot If you are looking for a WARM and waterproof snowboot, then here you go. Bonus? They're pretty cute, too. There is a lot of disagreement in the reviews about how the sizes run; I find them to run true to size. I am a 9 1/2 or a 10, depending on the brand and type of show, so I ordered a 10, and they're perfect with even heavier socks, though I wouldn't try to fit like a slipper sock into them. The toebox is nice and roomy which helps keep things warm. I have larger calves, but I can easily tuck my pant legs into the boots, which is GREAT. Honestly, this is probably the best $150 I've ever spent. That amount of money for boots is an investment on my current budget, but I live in the western U.P. of Michigan where it's common enough to have snow on the ground for 8 months of the year, and I decided this year I wasn't going to mess around... I wanted a high-quality, functional boot that I would be happy to wear, and I've found it. November 25, 2014

Find your fit.... Sizing is a issue with all these reviews to read through. My shopping suggestion...find a store and try them all on! I measured a 5.5 on the Sorel fit guide and am normally a 6 1/2 in everything! 5.5 too small....6 a little snug but comfortable....6.5 PERFECT! I wore the 6 at home and while comfortable, it rubbed on my heal. The 7 size, my foot just wiggled around. I finally stayed with the 6.5 (my true size) and it's been perfect. You must try before you buy but I promise you will LOVE these boots once you find the right fit! November 20, 2014
GORG!!! My first pair of sorels and in love!!! These boots mean business and they do it while looking like no other snow boot out there definantly show stoppers lots of compliments! Not only are they gorgeous wonderful quality A+++++++++ from the toes to the top up and down best quality boots I've owned! These on me anyway run a full size big im normally a true 7.5-8 o got the 7's and they fit with room to spare still so if trying to decide on a size Id say at least order a 1/2 size smaller and you'll be good:) can't wait for snow now with these babies! Fit unexpectedly true to size I bought these boots after considering them for a couple of years, and am glad I did. They are cute, warm and promise to be useful in this year's inevitable snow storms!! However, based on 2 years' worth of reviews I read, I wanted to share my surprise about the sizing. Most reviews indicated that these boots ran large, and recommended to buy a half or full size larger. I usually wear a 7.5/8, and tried on these boots in a size 7, 7.5 and 8. The 7 was painfully tight. The 7.5 was a bit too short in length and left my feet sore after wearing them for 15 minutes or so. The 8, while a little wide, was a comfortable fit. I tried these with both thick and thin socks and found the fit to be the same (since the boots are a bit wide). Having to buy my normal shoe size in this boot was surprising given all the reviews. Definitely measure your feet carefully and compare with Sorel's sizing guide; you may find like me that your regular shoe size will fit fine. November 17, 2014
