How to Measure Your Foot

  • Place your feet flat on a piece of paper and mark your longest toe and the back of your foot. It's best to do this standing and wearing socks
  • Measure the length (cm) straight from your longest toe to the back of your foot using a ruler or measuring tape.
  • Use the chart to find your size.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Legit I acquired these boots & needed serious proof that they would be worth wearing as i asked for a different pair for christmas. I couldn't be happier I got the Conquest, I live at 9000ft in the Rockies, very rough on all outer wear. These boots have been nothing but solid, reliable, comfortable and all around great. I don't know if the other reviews got a batch that was sealed improperly or what have you, but I love mine, i suggest them to anyone who does a lot of trekking, makes my feet feel safe, cheers. Rated 1 out of 5 by Very short life span I liked them ok for the first 45 days. After that, the sole started to separate from the boot, allowing snow melt to seep in and make my feet miserably cold. Fall apart junk, what I would expect from a Walmart boot. Thankfully the store I bought from doesn't play around, gave me full credit towards a better pair that did last out the winter for me. Better step up your game Sorel, your well earned reputation for quality won't last long if you don't. This type of product will lose you lifelong customers. August 17, 2015
Rated 1 out of 5 by Upper Seperated from sole with litte use I bought these in February 2014 to have a pair of boots on hand for cold and snow. Took them out of the box this winter and on the second wear the upper separated from the sole on one of them from the instep all the way around the heel to the other instep. No warranty, so these boots have proved worthless. March 6, 2015
Rated 1 out of 5 by Fell apart at the seams First let me say that I absolutely LOVE Sorels! I just have an issue with one of my fave pairs, in the Conquest series. While traversing through NYC a typical commute, running up and down stairs, from platform to platform, I notice my boots were beginning to fall apart in the heel area near the molding and upper leather seams. I didn't think I was going to make it home without the sole completely tearing apart from the rest of the boot. I was mortified as I sat on the train trying to conceal my predicament and how I would tie bags around my boots should they completely come apart! Anyway, it seems as though the rubber degraded in such a way that that tore apart from the upper seam. The rest of the boot, as you can see from the photos - soles, leather and fabric upper, and gaiters are in otherwise great condition, as I am quite meticulous in taking care of my footwear. I've only worn them during the worst of winter conditions, maybe 3 dozen times, as I feel these boots were made to endure such. I am heartbroken over this since these were one of three favorite pairs Sorels. Please reply if you have rectified the issue as I have read other reviews stating the same problem. I am strongly considering replacing these for the same model BUT only if I don't have to worry about them falling apart whilst traipsing through the brutal streets of NYC. Thank you in advance for your time and consideration in this matter. With regards, BklynJuls February 17, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by Love these boots Very warm ,not too big or Galompy. I love these boots .just got them and they seem very well made. I wear them when we walk our dog through the snow. February 14, 2015
Rated 1 out of 5 by Conquest Do not buy this boot! Do not buy the special spray to make them last longer! Do yourself a favor and buy cheap boots and just replace them more often. *Very Disappointed!* February 9, 2015
Rated 1 out of 5 by This product is the worse! Barely wore these boots and they literally fell apart on my feet. The whole rubber separated from the leather and the soles. January 28, 2015
Rated 2 out of 5 by Seams are Weak or Poorly Placed i've now had to send back two pairs of these boots. within two months of receiving each pair, the stitched seam between the rubber lower and leather upper split. which bodes poorly for me, since i am outdoors and busy much of the winter in a northern climate and really require sturdy boots that keep snow and water out. these no longer do after that split. it seems the plastic lip that they stitch onto doesn't extend far enough or isn't thick enough. i also had a lace holder (those little metal triangle rings) pop off one for no reason, and the lining along the back of the heel degrade incredibly fast, despite NEVER sliding my foot into the boots carelessly. aside from those problems, these are beautiful boots that do keep my feet reasonably warm in extreme cold. i wouldn't call them -40 boots personally, though (even with wool socks). they are comfortable to wear and give good grip on rough terrain and ice. i appreciate sorel's willingness to switch these boots out - and hope this time i can get ones with better seam placement that won't have the same issue. Rated 1 out of 5 by the boot that falls apart boots were great for the first couple years until this last weekend. The rubber soles began cracking and shredding apart completely separating from the leather upper! January 20, 2015
Rated 1 out of 5 by It's All Coming Apart at the Seams After attempting to shoe-glue for the 3rd time a wide crack between the upper and lower sections of an older pair of boots manufactured by Columbia (which is now the parent company of Sorel) I was determined to invest in a good pair of boots from the well-known top brand Sorel. I thought the Conquest boots would provide my feet many years of warmth and comfort. Unfortunately they did neither. From the onset, both boots 'buckled' and pinched the top of my feet. I thought maybe they needed to be broken in, the laced adjusted or maybe some sort of leather treatment would help - nope. After wearing them maybe 10-15 times, they began to crack at the seam where the upper leather meets the synthetic lower part of the boot - So I'm in the same situation less than a year later! I bought a pair of used *15 year old* winter boots, made in LaCrosse, Wisconsin, USA, that will last another 15 years and won't have to worry about quality when I'm in the field. Unfortunately, after much searching there is almost zero selection of non-imported winter hiking boots. So I’m sending the Conquest's back, requesting replacement with a better quality boot made domestically - or a full refund. I will update this review upon further developments. December 20, 2014
Rated 2 out of 5 by Rear of boot came apart I had these boots for ~6-7 years, wore them when there is snow in tahoe on the weekends. The soles were still perfect, but the leather separated from the rubber in back where it was stitched. It looks like the rubber was a little thin at this point and ripped. Much to my surprise, Sorel offered to replace the boots with ones of my choice, even though the 1 year warranty is up. I'll probably pick another model since the Conquest has had it's share of issues and received the lowest rating. Too bad. Loved the boots. Very warm, comfortable and rugged. December 13, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Excellent deep snow & very low temps I've owned a pair of Conquest boots for 5-6 yrs. They're used working on a mtn property in central Vermont, snowshoeing, and deer hunting from stands in near zero temps. They have never failed me. The slightly large size allows an extra thick pair of socks if needed, but has never caused chafing or boot movement even on steep sideways traverses. No hardware failures despite hard treatment, gaiter keeps out knee-deep snow & back tab holds snowshoes straps tightly. Never had a hint of water in the boots, but I oil them as needed. I wouldn't go dancing in them. December 10, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Met all my needs This boot is ridiculously warm! I play in the snow alot and decided to battle test these bad mothers to the max. Snowmobile camping, igloo constructing, and snowshoeing. These boots have the durability and warmth to get a 5 star on all of my tests. Great product! December 8, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Mongolia. UB Very good boots. Like November 17, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Conquest I have owned a pair of these for 14 years and they are an outstanding pair of boots. Over some pretty harsh Michigan winters, these boots have exceeded my expectations for a winter boot. Every time I think I want a new pair of boots, I just take a look at these ones and realize that they are everything I want is a winter boot. Warm, water resistant, good traction in snow. They are great. If they ever wear out, I will get another pair October 14, 2014
Rated 2 out of 5 by Conquest Boots i had two pair of these boots and the same thing happened to both. the rubber rotted. just a little over a year. great boots though comfortable warm ,style is great but the rubber sucks. you would think they would have changed the rubber by now but its been almost five years for me and i bet they made the ones they have now the same way. i will buy another pair only if i know they fixed the rubber problem. i read other people have the same problem also. do i recommend this product. not right now until the rubber problem is fix. August 15, 2014
Rated 2 out of 5 by Great looking, but poor construction I used the boots during the winter so my feet could stay dry. I have horses and I wanted a waterproof / water resistant boot that would keep my feet warm and dry in the mix of snow, mud and water that puddles in our pasture. After the first winter, they started to leak and eventually, the boot pulled apart at the rubber lining near the tread and the leather. These boots are all show and no go if you are wearing them a lot. I think the below freezing weather might have something to do with the boots staying together as the rubber eventually dries up and cracks even with proper treatment of mink oil and whatnot. February 15, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great Winter Boot I've had these boots for 5 years. Much of my work is outside and have worn them virtually everyday throughout the winter for all these years, they are the best winter boots I've owned. I live in a cold place so I need a warm boot. They have the best traction of any boot I've found on the market. My feet stay warm on the coldest of days/nights. Now after 5 years the rubber bottom is tearing from the leather upper where they are sewn together....they are still dry and warm. I am buying another pair. February 15, 2014
Rated 1 out of 5 by Conquest Boot I used the boots only in the winter when it snowed, maybe 5 times a year. I was very surprised to see when the upper part of the boot started to crack and detach from the lower part. I sent an email and I am waiting for a reply. Hopefully I'll get a good result and they will replace them. I will post again when I get an answer. February 6, 2014
Rated 1 out of 5 by Falling apart after just a few years of very light use As you have likely read in all of the other reviews about this product disintegrating, I have had the exact same experience. I bought these a few years ago and have only worn them 20 to 25 times (the soles and leather uppers are still in nearly new conditions. The issue in the rubber that secures the soles to the leather uppers, it cracked from front to back. I was thrilled when I first bought he boot to have the "Sorel" quality, now I am amazed it how shoddy the materials are in their products. I have owned several pair of boots in my life some of which I am still using after more than 20 years. At the end of the day I will make my decision on this company based on how they deal with me about this flaw in their product line. February 3, 2014
Rated 1 out of 5 by Boots fell apart I had my Sorel Conquest boots a long time 12 years, but did not use them much. They otherwise look like new, but the rubber attached to the leather broke from age. This is not what I expected from a Sorel boot. Sorel says that they only support a one year warranty. Obviously I expected them to last longer. The rubber sole is good, but the rubber connecting the sole to the leather is cracking and losing chunks. These boots were not stored in harsh conditions. My wife's boots purchased at the same time look good and we expect that they will last for many more years. January 29, 2014
Rated 1 out of 5 by Poorly Constructed Boot I have had these boots for several years with very light use; I only have worn them to shovel snow, probably 20 times. The upper brown part has entirely separated at teh seam from the lower black rubber piece, which allows the insulation to come out. Generally the boots are ruined. I have a pair of cheap Bass snow boots that I wear to work all day exclusively when it snows that I bought in the spring after I bought the Sorrel boots (they were are a clearance sale. The Bass boots were worn for exactly the same number of days, for a lot longer time each day, and still look in almost new condition. The $20 Bass boot (what I paid) is a lot better boot than the $120 Sorel boot, by far! January 23, 2014
Rated 1 out of 5 by Rubber Toe Cup Disintegration Problem I've been an avid SOREL customer for a great many years, having owned several pairs of the Caribou boot. The same goes for other members of my family and friends. I had never had any problems with a SOREL product -- until recently. Several seasons ago, I "upgraded" to the Conquest boots. They are now disintegrating! Mere fingertip pressure reveals deep cracks in the rubber toe cup area extending down through to the clean while liner! These Conquest boots have been worn very little and stored clean indoors. They still look brand new and are free of any trauma. The defective Conquest boots are now on their way to SOREL for evaluation. As this problem is also similarly depicted in several other reviews, I expect SOREL to respect their customers and replace the inherently defective product. With minimal use there is simply no reason for this sort of a defect. As soon as SOREL replaces the product, I'll be eager to promptly supplement this review with a positive recommendation and provide a glowing FIVE STAR rating hailing SOREL's Customer Service decision to stand behind the quality of their product! Should SOREL fail to do so, this review shall stand on it's own. SOREL Customer Service has advised that it may take 6-8 weeks due to the busy winter season. Stay tuned for updates.... Rated 1 out of 5 by Zero Durability - Cracking Rubber & Leaking Had these boots for a few years and with very light use and good care, the rubber has cracked and the boots leak. Thought Sorel was a quality brand and did not mind the extra cost but these boots are now garbage. I have an old pair of no name KMart $15 boots that have out lasted these Sorels. At this point I would not recommend Sorel products. January 3, 2014
Rated 2 out of 5 by Dissapointed I purchased my first pair of Sorels (Mens Conquest). I have to say they have not held up. My last pair of boots were with me for 12 years and I wore out the soles. After being tired of having wet feet, I went to the store, these boots caight my eye and had visions of warm happy feet. I have worn these boots about 25 times only when it snows or while doing snow removal. We have had three storms storms this year and my feel have been cold and damp. I can't understand this? Well yesterday we just got dumped on again and the temps are sub zero my feet are freezing. I looked down and I can see water water dripping out where the sole attaches to the boot not the leather.. I have bragged about this boot now I am embarrassed and really can't afford to dish out another $180.00 for another pair of boots right now. I really thought they would last much longer. I called customer service and the nice woman told me they were flexible but would not garantee anything. Now if I send them back out of waranty I'm still without. I thought i would just go buy some type of sllicone product to temporarily fix the Boot. Hopefully they will hold up throuhght the rest of the winter. We are inb the begging of Jan? They fit perfect by the way and are the most comfortable shoes/ boots I own. January 3, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by College son loves these! Ordered these as a gift for my college son...and he loves them! Sorel is an excellent brand that lasts so knew it would be worth the money if he was happy and he is! January 3, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Sizing... Quality is there...after all...they are Sorel's. They run smaller than the rest of the lines sizing...everyone always says they leave room for thick socks in their sizing, but these don't have that extra room like the other models I tried in an 11.5 Additionally, I order them in Black and got a pair in some kind of Grey...? December 31, 2013
Rated 1 out of 5 by Cracking at Stichting These boots have seen very light use over the past two winters. They were always stored in a closet between seasons and only used on days when it was either snowing or the snow had not been cleaned up from a previous storm The Conquest boot has not held up well. The metal cleat near at the center of the laces near the toe has torn out. That I could have lived with but this year the boots began to crack and separate where the leather meets the rubber (See Pictures). AS you can see from they tread they have very little wear. Based on some of the other reviews this seems like a common problem with this boot. Once they start to crack snow becomes lodged in behind the rubber and it is only a matter of time before your feet are soaking wet and cold. I would not recommend this boot. December 31, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by Best Winter Boot I bought a pair of Badgers in the early 80's. They have been to Canada and Europe and countless trips to Lake Tahoe. I still have them and they are in great shape. I didn't need another pair of boots but the design of the Conquest with the gator and the fishing I'm doing convinced me to buy them. Only wish is that I ordered a smaller size. Great boot, for those of you who are going to order I recommend that you order a 1/2 size smaller than your normal size. December 25, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by Rugged Comfortable and Warm I was looking for the warmest boots that would be worn in harsh environments - not because I was going to the coldest corners of the arctic, but because I wanted a great boot that could easily hold up on a cold, wet, muddy, snowy horse farm in the Mid-Atlantic. The treadwear is great, very deep and secure in deep mud or snow. The boots are stiff but provide great ankle support. The boot is too bulky for riding but perfect for all day work on the ground. I will likely never use these boots in the climate they were designed for, but it is good to know they are more than capable of handling it. December 12, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by Comfortable I bought this for my husband and he loves it. Quality product! November 16, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by comfortable The most comfortable boots. Nice support, warm, and great for work. My second pair of Sorel brand boots. Would recommend them to everyone. November 13, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by 16 years of abuse I bought these boots when I was living in Boston and started working construction as a surveyor. I wore these boots during four years of trekking around from job site to job site in the harsh New England winters, climbing on rebar and concrete. I wore them every day as my regular boots as well, hiking, hunting or just walking around town. From Boston, to New York and back to Ohio, for 16 years these boots took whatever I threw at them. Two years ago after a long day of pheasant hunting the sole finally failed and split. I never got cold feet standing for hours on freezing concrete or wet in the mud or water. For as much crouching and crawling around as I did as a surveyor I'm pleased that I did not split the sole sooner. I've never had a pair of boots last this long under this kind of use. Hated to see them go. You will definitely get your money's worth from these boots. November 8, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by Rugged Good Looks No not a review about me.... I have more boots and shoes than I know what to do with. These are my winter trekking boots. I love to use them with snowshoes. One challenge, I have high arches, the gusset at the top is tight. I would have a hard time putting them on if I had 2 pairs of socks on, especially if it were cold out. I ended up buying a size 11 but I am normally a size 10. With normal sport socks the 10s feel quite amazing. I don't think I have ever had a winter boot on that felt so much like a hiker. Other challenge, I'm in Canada, I get mine from the US. Mine seem to have held up well, frankly, I don't see how others have been able to do the damage they have. I wear mine with crampons or snowshoes and then around camp all the time. I use them when I plow snow in the mornings too. I would recommend a half size or full size larger than your hiking shoes to accommodate the extra sock or VB layer you might be wearing. October 17, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by a woman in men's boots bought mine in 2004, after the last 2 winters they have holes in the soles and are falling apart, but still warmer and more comfy than any other boots i've tried. i looked at the womens boots and was not impressed. i have also tried on several pairs of womens boots and most of them are thin and flimsy, and my feet would be freezing. i will have a pair till they stop making them. Rated 5 out of 5 by 40 below "0" boots in the desert Southwest I've been walking the desert southwest for 40 years. Boots have come and gone. Some last longer than others. Some are light: some are heavy. These are one of the best and most protective boots in the desert and mountains. Archaeologists like these boots. I'm an archaeologist. Connect the dots. Boot evolution. Happy feet. Wear them and smile. June 19, 2013
Rated 3 out of 5 by Something Bulging Through the Inside of Boot All in all I like the boots I received but the problem I have is that inside the boot just above my Achilles tendon there is something in side the boot (material bulging through the inside) that is rubbing pretty badly against that area and causing a great deal of discomfort. It is reasons like this why I hate ordering online products as you don't have a chance to see and feel how something fits "correctly". The style and most of the design of the boot is exactly what I needed for Colorado other than this particular discomfort. Haven't had time to contact Sorel and deal with this yet. I would normally recommend the boot but this one issue is rather difficult to deal with. May 9, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great boot Bought these after wearing out my old boots, these were super comfortable on the hike in, kept my feet warm and dry throughout the entire trip. May 8, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by Men's conquest boots The best boots money can buy!!!! owned my first pair for 9 years. "Built to last"!!! March 22, 2013
Rated 3 out of 5 by Mostly great until stitching went after 5 months I purchased these boots for rugged farm work which oftentimes requires working in soupy mud and/or below freezing, harsh conditions. The seal between the leather upper and the rubber sole (about three o'clock on the left boot, nine o'clock on the right boot from the toe) gave out barely five months into owning the boots, which had a solid three months' use. Hoping to get them repaired under warranty as they're less than a year old, but I simply cannot spare the boots for the four-week repair period. I wear plastic bags on my feet for now until the end of mud season. Stick to snow and non-mud if you want these to last. March 8, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by Thanks Again Second pair... Still awesome. I bought my first ones about ten years ago. In the second season i put my atv thru the ice. I spent all day walking in muck up to my waist. The boots held together for another eight years. The heel in the left one finally gave and started to cut my foot. I was really excited to see that they now make the boot in all black. I was sold instantly. As a guy who spends ninety percent of his time on the ice in winter, Massachusetts long winters, I have been very pleased. My feet only get cold when it is about midnight and we have not fired the heater in the shanty yet, ha, ha. Honestly, for the money you spend on these boots, you will be thoroughly impressed at the quality and comfort. I have walked righ up to the gusset in water and have never had wet feet, Maybe sweaty socks, but not wet feet. Thank you so much again Sorel. I hope to get twenty years out of these. Please dont ever stop making this boot. February 27, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by This product has great features I love these boots, i have since bought three pairs, one in a blk,one in a cinniman bark and one in a khaki color. I like that fact that these boots look rugged, aggressive and sofar , they seem to stand up to their name. They also look great especially with jeans ,they are just a great looking boot and they definitely keep you warm . I live in NYC and although we do get snow from time to time, still in all, it hasen't let me down and seems to be well made . I haven't really dogged it in a sense by wearing everyday during the winter, only when its bad outside and we get heavy snow. So i guess that being said, i'm sure that they will last a whole lot longer , especially if you take good care of them. Also, these boots tend to run about a 1/2 size small from your true size. I suggest that you get either get a 1/2 to 1 full size larger than your true size depending on your foot size / width when ordering. I wear an 8 in US size so i bought a 8.5 . Last, i use to wear timberlands, but ever since these came out and i happen to come across these boots, i tend to like them more than the timberlands and am a happy camper.. February 25, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great Pair of Boots These boots fit well, are warm and the sole provides great traction. I highly recommend them. February 19, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by Only boot you'll ever need Going on 7 years & they're in great shape. Best boot/$ available. Avid skier, outdoors a lot. Always warm, dry & extremely comfy. By far the best winter boots I've ever owned. If you want 1 boot for any winter condition imaginable this is the boot. February 16, 2013
Rated 1 out of 5 by Not sure of durability I bought a pair over a year ago awaiting an ice fishing trip this last week, that was on my bucket list to do. I wore them 1 day, and the outside seam along the rubber bottom and the leather split about 2" long; the threading actually pulled through the rubber. the boot felt good, not tight, I only walked about 100 yards round trip, and they just ripped. I was walking on packed ice with about 4-5 inches of light snow...so I am not sure about the durability of the leather and th rubber. I love the boot, the looks, the feel, the fit, but man the rip just made me look like a fool after bragging about the nice new boots that I had and were proud of. I was actually laughed at, and the ice trip I planned for two years, was ended before it could actually start. February 12, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great boots Working at a ski resort these are great to have around for working out side or going from building to building when we have new snow. They fit great and are warm even when it -18 out. February 3, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great boots Great boot, great price. I work in tough conditions, boots lasted three years. Feet never cold, never wet... January 28, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by Nice boot. Not too heavy Boot fit nicely. Very warm. I usually have a tough time with breaking in new footwear, but no trouble with this boot. Wore a couple times around the house, then a 2 mile road walk, the a 4 mile trail hike, no problems. Great product. January 23, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by warm, comfortable from the first wear Just bought them 2 weeks ago but the boots fit great from the first time I put them on. Very warm and felt great even after being on my feet for a long time. We will see if they stand the test of time... January 20, 2013
Rated 4 out of 5 by Most comfortable boots I own. These boots are great for snow removal jobs or anything where you'll be standing in snow for long periods of time. January 3, 2013
