How to Measure Your Foot

  • Place your feet flat on a piece of paper and mark your longest toe and the back of your foot. It's best to do this standing and wearing socks
  • Measure the length (cm) straight from your longest toe to the back of your foot using a ruler or measuring tape.
  • Use the chart to find your size.

Rated 3 out of 5 by Sized too small Why would they be so poorly sized? November 25, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by Last Forever I ordered these boots because the last pair I purchased lasted from 1983. Yes over 31 years of wear and service. And my new pair arrived on time and are of the same quality. Very pleased! November 21, 2015
Rated 1 out of 5 by DO NOT BUY Worst quality boots I've ever come across. They were great for the first half a year or so, until they started to form cracks at the creases around the shoe's toebox. Now, its been about two years with less than average use, and my boots have more than a few holes due to cracks or seam blowouts. Save your money and wait for real Bean Boots. November 9, 2015
Rated 2 out of 5 by Perfect for cold/rainy weather I love these boots. The only negative thing I have to say is I wear a size 13 and they look a little goofy around the toes because they are so wide. November 4, 2015
Rated 4 out of 5 by Very Nice I haven't had the priveledge of wearing these out into the rain/snow yet, but they seem to be made of high quality materials. I have been looking for a pair of rain/snow boots for years but find them all to be rather unappealing to the eye. These are so fashionable and comfortable!! I am an 18 year old female who normally wears a size 9 in women's and I got an 8 (in men's obviously) and they fit perfectly in the length (maybe a bit small) but are very wide. It isn't a major problem since there are laces that I can have tied very tightly. But the rubber part of the shoe at the front (that clearly doesn't have laces) is still too wide and the front of my foot slides around. But I will take this slightly unsatisfactory quality over any other rain boot I've ever seen or tried on. Also, they are a bit more insulated than I had previously thought- so don't expect to wear these when it is above 50, your feet will be very hot. Overall, terrific purchase. September 27, 2015
Rated 1 out of 5 by Most uncomfortable expensive boot Usually i dont write reviews but in this case i have to make an exception...i was so looking forward to getting this product but when i wore them for the first time i found myself in incredible pain. It seems that when the boot is laced the leather tongue pushes into the inner portion of the ankle. I cant believe no one has mentioned this before as i would have considered another brand February 4, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by These Boots Are Amazing! I personally hate wearing boots and haven't worn or owned a pair in over two decades. Finally after not wanting to go through another blizzard in sneakers I broke down and purchased a pair of boots. After researching several pairs I settled on purchasing it through Sorel. The boots are comfortable, they aren't too snug/tight, they keep my feet warm, protect me from rain and snow. They also look amazing. I have recommended this pair and company to several friends. I will never purchase another pair of boots elsewhere. February 1, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by Happy Very pleased with my purchase choice February 1, 2015
Rated 4 out of 5 by Great boots I love this boot because it is completely waterproof, durable, extremely warm, comfortable, and even stylish! The only con I have found so far is that they look fat when you put them on but I'm sure once I wear them for a while it will go away January 28, 2015
Rated 1 out of 5 by Stay away from these!!! This is the WORST BOOT EVER! I would high recommend not purchasing. Bought a pair last year and the front of the boot began to let water in. Customer service advised to return for a replacement (since it was covered under the product warranty). The replacement was received and on first wearing them, my toes are wet yet again! This is a terrible, terrible, terrible product and I will not be recommending this brand of boot to anyone! January 27, 2015
Rated 1 out of 5 by DO NOT BUY THESE BOOTS I got these boots for christmas 2012 and by christmas 2014 they had already worn out. The rubber is not made of a durable material and a hole already developed in my boots on both feet. I hardly wear these out and I only got 2 winters out of them. The one year warranty is obviously not sufficient for the price paid for these boots. I will never buy another Sorel product after what I spent for essentially a two winter rental on these terribly made boots. January 10, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by Depends on what you want? I wanted a boot to handle Portland's wet and cold mornings, yet handle snow driven ski days. This boot does it all. Being more a running shoe and flip-flop kind of guy, I am super critical of fit and comfort. Wear a thicker cotton or ski sock and you are toasty, go barefoot and you have a bit of room with no hot spots and still warm on those 25* morning dog walks! January 3, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great Boot Got this boot from christmas. I usually wear a size 9, but I required a 9.5 in this boot. Very comfortable boot. Not like a typical, cheaper boot that requires a weeks worth of blisters to break in. Only complaint is the laces feel a bit cheap, but those can easily be upgraded for $5. December 31, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Best Boot I have ever owned I love this boot like crazy. I got a great deal on them and have worn them ever since I got them for my job. I have even convinced guys and girls at work to get them. Great liner and doesn't require a lot of break in time November 12, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Perfect I bought this boot for my husband. This boot is well made & looks good. Definitely would recommend. September 18, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Boots Warm, dry, my feet are happy ;) March 9, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by So far so good My new boots have been keeping my feet warm and dry in a really snowy Philly winter. Good grip on the snow/ice so far. A bit restrictive to wear around the office so I wear them to work and then change shoes there. But that's just me I could see someone else wearing them all day. February 20, 2014
Rated 3 out of 5 by Shipped used Couple things... Overall, good product. I normally wear a 10 and heard these ran small so ordered a 10.5. Still too small so swapped for an 11 which worked. But final pair Sorel sent were clearly used as they're dirty which is disappointing. Not going to go thru hassle of returning an online order (a 2nd time) but quality control should be better. January 22, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great boots! Great boots. Wear a 9 1/2 bought a 10. Fit perfect. January 9, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Good value Upon receipt of the boots, the fit was very good as was the construction of the boots. The lining was actually a little lighter than the LL Bean boots which should prevent your feet from "sweating". Color was good and they were not heavy/clunky. So far, so good. January 7, 2014
Rated 2 out of 5 by Men’s Cheyanne™ Lace Full I have worn Sorel since the 70's in Alaska. However, with these, I had to go up to a 13 from a 12, and I had too much pressure on the ankles from the laces and could not adjust them accordingly. It's too bad I had to send them back and will try another style. Oh well... January 2, 2014
Rated 3 out of 5 by Next Model Should Be Better What's good: - Leather is of good quality - Boot isn't too large for casual walking What's okay, but could be better: - The boot is only waterproof about an inch above the rubber bottom because the tongue is connected from that point up - The lining isn't sewn onto the bottom, so you nearly pull it out with your foot What's bad: - The red logo on the sole will bleeds onto socks - There is no effective insulation between your toes an the rubber December 31, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by Happy Feet I bought these boots for as a gift for my son. he was very happy with them. His feet will stay warm and dry on his annual New Years day camping trip in the mountains! December 27, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by Light weight and warm. A very nice boot. I wore them in -5F weather with ordinary cotton socks and they kept my feet nice and warm. Good sole treads grip on snow well. December 26, 2013
Rated 1 out of 5 by Both toes leak water I live in Oregon. I've lived here for a long time and have never had appropriate rain shoes. I was so excited to finally get some Sorels, although I had heard the quality had diminished a bit since purchased by Columbia. Well, both toes excessively leak water. Walking a couple blocks outside in light to only pooled rain and they leak water. Might be better off ordering some old Sorels off a second site. December 23, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by Look good, feel great These are exactly what I wanted and I'm very pleased with my purchase. I work in Manhattan in an office environment and I feel very comfortable popping these on for the trek in to work and they look just fine under more formal pants. Obviously great for non-workday wear as well. These are quickly becoming some of my favorites. One caveat - wear thick socks with these, as they do rub a bit on the calves. December 18, 2013
Rated 4 out of 5 by Made a good choice For the money, you can't beat these boots. With a pair of good socks, these babies keep your feet warm and dry. Chicago has some serious winter going down this year and these are doing great! They also look pretty fashionable and can wear around anywhere. December 15, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great Classic Boot I ordered the Cheyanne in Chipmunk/Black, I wanted a classic and sleek looking boot that I could take out and shovel snow with, and also wear out with a nice outfit. This boot definitely fits my needs. It fits about a half size bigger, but I don't mind the extra room. I've taken this boot outside to work in, and I've also worn them out for dinner. They are very nice and warm, and look very stylish. November 28, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by Better than your fathers LL Bean duck boot Better quality and look November 27, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by Nice boots My son gave me grief when I pulled my new Cheyanne boots out of the box and tried them on but sure enough, he took them with him on a hunting trip last weekend and now I need to order another pair - he loves them! November 12, 2013
Rated 3 out of 5 by Annoyed I haven't been able to wear these boots yet because of poor sizing quality control. I wear a 10 in almost every other shoe style. However, I've had bad experiences with Sorel sizing. I own 4 pairs of Sorels; 2 that oxford style and 2 that are boots. My sizing has ranged from 10, 10.5, 11, and now it appears I'll need to order an 11.5 in the Cheyenne boots. Pretty unfortunate, especially considering they charge me shipping to receive the updated size as well as shipping to send the wrong size back. Bottom line, a 10 in other shoes, is 11.5 for me in these. October 25, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by Well Insulated I wasn't expecting that much insulation. A good thing if its cold. The sole seems a bit thin, but then it should still last a long time. June 12, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by Classy shoes I have to admit that I just bought for the look, but forget about the look, the comfort and cozy about this shoe is outstanding May 22, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by Outstanding Quality I bought these for cold winters at Ohio State. The quality is absolutely excellent, the leather is very durable and the rubber is high quality. Much better than the other duck boots out there that claim to be durable but are really just fashionable; these boots give you the best of both worlds. They are big like the rest of sorel's products, but I think that adds to the charm as they appear very masculine. Also, the interior is very well insulated, but not bulky. Overall, I'm very satisfied! April 26, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great boot, warm, looks and fits well I ordered these on the eve of a major rainstorm, so I paid the additional $14 for 2-day shipping (I think 2-Day was $20 and ground/standard was $6). I am a size 12 and they fit true to size. I wore normal and thick socks, and both were comfortable. I have a more heavy duty pair of Sorel boots for snow in northern Wisconsin, and these seem perfect for the rain or even snow (maybe < 6-8 inches). Overall, I am very happy with the purchase and would strongly recommend them! April 17, 2013
Rated 4 out of 5 by A bit ugly... but practical I purchased this boot to do some outdoor activities in Yellowstone in the slushy snow... they are very practical, have a good grip... however being a wellington boot (gumboot) as the base with a leather upper that laces... they can cause a little rubbing on the ankle. I still wore them for 4 days every day all day with no real issues. They are not pretty and they are a bit heavy for 'hiking', but overall they served me well and I will use them when next visting a wet, snowy region for casual outdoor experiences. They are very good build quality and will last for years.... April 3, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great Shoes I live in Seattle. This shoes is ideal because it is waterproof and really warm. The shoe is not heavy nor bulky. Ideal for going to football games, up to the mountain to ski/snowboard, and just running around town on a wet day. The colors are pretty classic and the red laces add a stylish touch. I typically wear an 11 - 11.5. The size 11 worked out great and is nice and snug. March 30, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by Happy Dry Feet Teenagers loved the boots. Color, comfort, fit. If they are happy, so am I . Love Sorel! March 14, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by Best Investment I live in a snow belt - avg 170 inches of snow a year. I bought Cheyanne style lace boot in 1978. I shovel, snow blow, walk one mile to my mailbox then back. I also wear them when I go snowshoeing. This year last week 34 years after purchase I got a hole where the front bends between sole and rubber. I could probably put some goop on it to seal it up but you know what, I got my monies worth I'm going to buy a new pair. I can't imagine how many miles are on them. The soles are only smooth where the balls of the foot are. March 11, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by Men’s Cheyanne™ Lace Full Grain Leather Boot My job sometimes requires me to travel to warehouses, and the temperature can get very cold especially in the winter months and refrigerated warehouses (0 deg C). I was using Clark's Desert Boots with merino wool socks and my feet would eventually get too cold, and not to mention my feet would start hurting after a few hours of standing in these boots. So I decided to invest in boots that would keep my feet warm, were also waterproof, a bit stylish, and I came across these and purchased them w/ Next Day Air. When I received them, they weighed less and looked bigger than I had imagined but when I tried them on, they were a true fit. I think the inside of the boot is adequately insulated. I wore them to a warehouse where we had to stand outside and these boots lived up to my expectations. I had to stand for nearly 6 hours in 28 deg F, and the boots kept my feet warm, were comfortable, and my feet didn't hurt from standing. I must say that I was expecting my feet to hurt after several hours but the sole must be well padded. I decided to jog/run in these boots and they were just as comfortable as walking in them. The boots became dirty after standing outside but with some water, all the dust/dirt came right off. NOTE: I wore merino wool socks every time I wore these boots, but I imagine you could go without wool socks and the boots will still keep your feet warm because of the insulation in it. I must add that it kept my feet at a comfortable temperature so I never experienced any sweating (a big plus!). Overall, I am extremely satisfied with this product and would, without a doubt, recommend this particular boot to anyone who needs a lightweight, comfortable, insulated, waterproof, and stylish boot. March 7, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by Boots These boots are outstanding. They are warm, comfortable and functional. I only wonder why I waited so long to purchase a pair of Sorel boots. Well done, Sorel! February 19, 2013
Rated 4 out of 5 by Excellent Basic Winter Boots I love these boots. They are exactly what I was looking for for general winter use -- shoveling, pre/apres skiing, exercise walking on the golf course, etc. There are so many models and options out there, Sorel and others, that it can be confusing, but these boots are the ticket if you want a general use boot. They are lined and insulated "enough" without being over the top bulky and hot -- keep you warm enough in general use without making your feet sweat. The leather uppers are soft and flexible, don't eat into your shin as some others do, and the rubber bottoms seem to be an excellent relatively soft gum-like rubber that offer both flexibility and strength. My only source of dissatisfaction was the sizing and the need to return the size 14's I ordered and reorder size 15. Without this issue, my overall rating would have been Excellent rather than the Good rating I gave. I normally wear a size 13 or 14 shoe and/or boot, depending on the manufacturer. Most of my golf shoes are 13's; my previous winter boots from another big company were 13. But having tried on Sorel size 13 in a different model in a retail store, and finding it a bit small, I ordered a size 14. When it came, I found it a bit too small, and had to return it and get the size 15 -- which fits just a tiny bit too large, but certainly acceptable. This does indicate a bit of inconsistency in sizing quality control. But I looked long and hard for the right boot to replace my previous boots which had worn out. I think I found them -- I do love these boots. February 13, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great function, great look These boots and a pair of good socks have been serving their purpose well in the snowy/icey/slushy michigan weather. They keep me dry and fit snugly. Would definitely recommend to anyone in a cold snowy semi-urban/urban environment. February 11, 2013
Rated 4 out of 5 by This is a good wet weather shoe The quality of materials and manufacture are excellent. The size is absolutely true. The boots are comfortable. I am somewhat disappointed that the boots are not as warm as advertised. Today it is 17 degrees F and we had a couple of inches of light snow - I put on my heavy socks and these boots and then spent about 30 minutes clearing snow. My feet were chilly to cold. Not what I expected from Sorel. I suspect that one more pair of heavy socks may do the trick. February 3, 2013
Rated 3 out of 5 by Cold in the toes Nice looking, good quality anf feels very good on the feets once you have choosen one size above your normal size. Theese are rated -30 degrees celsius, but already in -10C they are cold specially in the toes, very little insulation there. And that is even if I wear medium thick whool socks. I thought I have ordered black boots, but they are dark blue, it is not very visible when you order them! Regards Magnus, from a cold Sweden :) January 17, 2013
Rated 4 out of 5 by sizing overall a very well made boot. I like them. Mine are a half size too large. Apparently this boot is not available half sizes. I normally wear an 11 in boots. I tried a pair of 11's at Gamder Mountain and 11 was too small. When I ordered on line my choice was 11 or 12. I chose 12 and they are a tad too large. But they are well made, warm, and work well for me. January 14, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by The Perfect Balance I came across the Chayanne by mistake, and couldn't be more pleased. The boot itself is a wonderful combination of form and function - traditional style, mixed with a modern practicality that works well in cold weather conditions. I took the boots out (brand new) for a short hiking trip up to Mirror Lake, near Mt. Hood. The trail was meant for snow shoeing, but was packed enough to walk on with these. They were comfortable, warm, and stayed dry after multiple dips into unpacked snow. The support on the ankles was crucial too, as there were many times things could have gone awry with low-tops. The traction on the sole was also pretty nice in the snow, but in some cases where ice was prominent, I had to be more careful. After walking for over 2 hours in the snow, the boots felt great, despite being brand new. Really satisfied with my purchase, and highly recommended! January 3, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by Very comfortable and looks great Have only worn these in the house so far but am very happy with the fit, quality and style. I always buy shoes a half size larger and these fit perfectly using that method. I have been wearing medium thickness socks and they are very comfortable. Not sure thick socks would be comfortable, but shouldn't need thick socks in the south. October 6, 2012
Rated 3 out of 5 by Need Wide Version I like the boot but they need a wide version. My feet are only a little wide but these are tight. Impossible to wear with thick socks. It's not worth trying because you have to pay to return it. Go to a retail partner rather than buy it online like me. March 29, 2012
Rated 5 out of 5 by Solid all around snow boot. Pretty much exactly as described. Comfy boot that seems to be pretty warm/waterproof. Would not be my boot of choice for extreme cold or to walk around in deep snow, but for around town or wearing to the mountain they are pretty money. I am generally between an 8 and 8.5 and the 8 fits well with some room to spare for a thicker sock. February 8, 2012
