How to Measure Your Foot

  • Place your feet flat on a piece of paper and mark your longest toe and the back of your foot. It's best to do this standing and wearing socks
  • Measure the length (cm) straight from your longest toe to the back of your foot using a ruler or measuring tape.
  • Use the chart to find your size.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Excellent Boots I am happy with my Sorel boots. VERY SATISFIED !!! May 18, 2016
Rated 4 out of 5 by Very Warm Very warm boot and very nice. I normally wear a 10.5, but went with 11 for these and am glad I did. Very comfortable, but a little bulky and the lining is not removable which makes the boot a little tighter. March 2, 2016
Rated 5 out of 5 by Money well spent Fantastic boots! I live in New York and it snowed on the day that I received them. They were so comfortable that I literally wanted to seek out more snow to walk in. I can't say enough good things about these boots February 19, 2016
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great Shoe Great shoe and terrific quality; would highly recommend. First time buying a shoe from Sorel and it was well worth the reasonable cost of the boot. February 16, 2016
Rated 5 out of 5 by Warmth comfort and function Wow, what a great boot. Really comfortable and snug. I feel really secure and sure footed in these boots. A little extra effort with the laces. These are not slip on style, but it's worth it. They feel like an extension of my leg. And perfectly warm. They look really good as well. Who could ask for more? February 14, 2016
Rated 5 out of 5 by Amazing!! Ordered these right during this past blizzard and they arrived just in time. My feet are warm and cozy. Comfortable to walk in too. We just ordered another pair for my wife. February 12, 2016
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great Boot For Cold Feet I finally got a chance to use these boots after the mild winter we've had, and I can't be more impressed! I wanted these to be boots I could wear to shovel the driveway as well as look nice on the way to work. And they score big on both accounts. They have great grip in the snow & have kept my feet warm and dry for a few rounds with the snowblower. I've also gotten quite a few compliments on them around the office! I read other reviews that advised to buy a half size smaller than usual, and bought a half size down. They're snug, and might be a little too snug with very thick socks on. So I'd say buy what size you usually wear. That aside, I've been incredibly happy with these boots! February 10, 2016
Rated 5 out of 5 by Real good boot for real winters I bought these after going through some other Sorels that just didn't do what I needed them to on day to day basis or on snowshoeing outings and other winter activities. I am SO happy with them! They are warm, waterproof and stylish. I am an 8.5w and I got the sz 7 men's which are still a bit big (i can double sock) but it's just fine when I lace them up tight. On another note to Sorel: As a style conscious lady I am disappointed that Sorel doesn't make these (or similar boots) for women. Not all girls want pink boots with the fur. I searched and searched for a handsome, classic boot that actually stands up to winter and also stands up to evolving fashion. There's no reason why ladies shouldn't have the option to buy boots rated at lower temps!!! There is a market for this type of boot! February 16, 2015
Rated 1 out of 5 by Definitely Not Warm or Waterproof - better off with LL Bean Purchased these boots 3 days ago to prepare for a blizzard followed by sub-zero temps in Boston. While stylish and comfortable, these boots definitely do not insulate as advertised and certainly are not waterproof as evidenced by my frozen feet and soaking wet wool socks after an one hour snow shoe. Given Sorel's reputation for warmth and waterproofing, I am deeply disappointed in my purchased and will gladly shift my loyalty back to LL Bean boots after giving Sorel a shot. February 9, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great boots! I am a woman who purchased these boots after Sorel sold out of my size in the women's version. I was afraid that these would be too bulky, but they are exactly what I was looking for! They are comfortable and very warm. I can't wait to try them out in the snow! November 5, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Men's 1964 Premium T Boot I had read all sorts of stories about these boots coming up big and I was also trying to factor in the UK to US size difference but none of this was a problem in the end. The boots seem to fit pretty true to size. They are very comfortable, very sturdy and seem pretty indestructable. I only wish I'd bought them before the Polar Vortex hit! March 17, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by replacement boots My son had your boots for 18 years, thru many winters in VT and NJ. He appreciates the quality, comfort and sturdiness. March 5, 2014
Rated 4 out of 5 by Great Look and Feel I wear an 8.5 Men's business shoes with thin socks. I bought a 9M and wore them with thick wool socks and they fit perfectly. A little room left when wearing sports socks. The boots are a bit bulky but normal for snow boots and made of great quality. Inside liner keeps my toes warm and great for NJ weather. You'll need to loosen the strings to easily get in and out of them. March 4, 2014
Rated 4 out of 5 by Great piece of footwear I live in Ann Arbor and we received heaps of snow that started to melt. These boots proved their waterproof-ness and I was walking around the streets just fine while many others were walking on egg shells. They are incredibly warm while still providing decent ventilation. They did take a little while to break in the top leather portion. The only downside is that it does take a little time to put on and take off the boots because of the lacing system. I highly recommend this boot though! Functional and looks great! March 1, 2014
Rated 4 out of 5 by Sizing I read all of the other reviews and the predominant comment on size was that the boots run large. I ordered the same size as all of my shoes, and the boots were too small. It cost me thirty bucks to get the right size. February 25, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Excellent winter boots I had been putting off buying winter boots for a while, but decided to make a purchase because of a particularly bad winter this year. I wish I had bought these boots much sooner! They keep my feet nice and warm, not to mention totally dry. I've trudged through snow, slush, and ice with these and they do a great job. February 24, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Mens Sorels Loved the boots! They ran a little big and there were no replacement sizes. I would have replaced them if there were. February 22, 2014
Rated 4 out of 5 by Overall an Excellent Purchase These boots are warmer than anticipated and are great for the snow and puddles of NYC. I was warned that these boots are tough to get on your feet so I loosened the laces real good. They were still difficult to get on so I was using the tab on the back of the liner to pull the liner onto my foot and the tab snapped - before I ever got my foot into the boot! The third time I wore the boots, the same thing happened to the other boot. This is not a deal breaker, I still highly recommend these boots. February 21, 2014
Rated 3 out of 5 by Stylish but underperformed. Bought these in the beginning of the season. Had always been a Columbia guy. I love these boots from the jump. They are very stylish and well made. We got hit with a lot of snow this season here in New England. They excelled in all of the conditions you name it slush, rain, snow, and ice. However, after some heavy uses during an ice fishing trip I started to notice the seams slowly leaking where the rubber and leather meet. My toes started to get damp and at the end of the day I would have to take the liners out to dry them. I was very disappointed about the quality. The seams didn't even last a season and started to leak. It's too bad that I wanted to like these boots very much but they underperformed my expectation. All the reviews on here are mostly from people who wear them casually. Mine is a review from a person who actually wore them daily in the snow and tested it in every winter conditions. Sadly I would not recommend these for any outdoor activity where you're going to be out there in snow and slush all day. These seem to be perfect boots for shoveling your driveway or a short trip to the supermarket and or walking between classes on campus. Nothing more than that. I'll be looking elsewhere. Maybe I'll check out the Caribou. February 17, 2014
Rated 4 out of 5 by Toes too tight! I've been wearing Sorel Pacs for 40 years. I needed a replacement so I purchased the 1964 Premium T three years ago. The boots look great and the leather quality is actually better than my old Canadian made ones. One criticism, however, is that the new model has a more tapered, less boxy toe area. I can no longer insert an insole or wear two pairs of socks without my toes being jammed up against the top of the toe area. The length and width are fine, so a larger size is not the answer. Those extra insulating layers are what really kept your feet warm when it was double digits below zero. February 15, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Buy one size larger Husband was super glad to get these during our recent blizzard hits up here in NJ. Definitely recommend buying 1 size larger for men since they are snug at "actual size". Fast shipping and great quality. February 15, 2014
Rated 4 out of 5 by Nice Boots Great Boots, run true to size. February 8, 2014
Rated 4 out of 5 by great product excellent product that keeps feet warm and also dry!!! February 6, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by the perfect snow boot. warm, cozy, great traction, stylish. the perfect snow boot! February 1, 2014
Rated 4 out of 5 by Good boots These do the job. They keep your feet warm and dry in cold, wet conditions. A popular standard in Chicago, I have noticed. I had a pair of these in the 1980s. They were awesome. The quality now is not up to the old standard. Such is the way of our modern times. January 26, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Comfortable and warm I've only just started wearing my new boots out but they definitely keep my feet warm and are clearly made to last. The thing I most notice about them, though, is the size. I'm a short guy with small feet, so these boots (which seem to have a little more space in them than the average shoe of their size) are look enormous and clunky on me. Not a huge problem, they are snow boots after all, but it's worth mentioning. I probably could have fit better into a 9 but since I ordered them online I had to take a chance on my usual size and they fit well enough that I will keep them. January 20, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Phenominal............. I finally stepped up and paid for a good quality boot. They fit perfectly, look incredible, and are very warm. I don't know why I waited so long to make this purchase. January 8, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by The Most Stylish Winter Boot in the Windy City These boots simply amazing. They're probably the first boot that I've ever worn that are both functional and stylish. I purchased the boots on the exact same day where the temp starting dropping in here chi and my feet stayed dry and warm despite our horrendous conditions. For me the size runs maybe a 1/2 size bigger, however, I don't intend to ski or do any extensive running in them during the winter so it shouldn't be a problem. January 7, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great Boots My husband is very pleased with his new boots. These replaced his old ones that he had for 20 some years. January 6, 2014
Rated 4 out of 5 by Perfect Christmas Present! Just bought this boot for my nephew for Christmas...NJ just got a snow storm and it is bitter cold...He LOVES them. Kept his feet warm and dry while he snowblower/shoveled. Will be buying husband and myself new boots by Sorel as well.. January 4, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Hard To Beat My mother-in-law wanted to buy winter boots for my 18 year old sons for Christmas. Sorel's were first on our list to consider. I've owned my Caribou's for over 30 years and besides replacing the liner they have held up great! My sons wear size 10.5 shoes and after researching and reading comments one chose 10's the other 10.5's. They both are very happy with the fit and style of their boots and the warmth they provide in our cold Utah winters. They appreciate that even their slim jeans fit over the top of the boot. They have each worn them several times already and couldn't be happier. January 1, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by premium boots I actually returned them. they were high quality and very well made. Unfortunately I purchased them for someone will a disability and they were too hard to get them on. Boots are laced high so pulling them on was difficult. YOu need to open up the laces then pull them on with the small loop tab on the outer boot but then the fleece lining would fold while trying to squeeze into them. They run wide which was why I was trying them. I purchased sorrel's years ago (1988) and they are still awesome. They keep your feet warm and dry. Never out of style. High price but last YEARS! December 27, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by greatest boot ever had another pair that I bought 30 years ago, and wore until this spring when a slit developed in the sole. greatest boot I have ever had. tried others but they were bulkier and clumsy to wear. these are the greatest. thanks much December 27, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by Best Cold Weather Boot Ever Today I placed an order for a new pair of Sorels. I had to retire my old pair which I purchased in 1973 because the treads are gone. I have worn them in every type of Winter weather. Blizzards, -60 degrees, freezing rain--and they always kept my feet warm. I have worked in them, played in them and have even danced my butt off in them! Over the years I've had to replace the liners and laces, other than that the boots held up and performed admirably under all conditions. I've worn these boots in Upper Michigan, the Tug Hill Plateau of New York, Northern Maine and countless other areas. They truly are the best cold weather boots....bar none. October 23, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by Absolutely the best I bought this pair online, looking for the Sorel model that is most like the pair of Sorels that I've had for 30 years, and which are the best pair of winter footware I've ever ownes - and I'm 69 years old and live in frozen Vermont. The old pair finally started to wear out and leak after 28 years - wth two more years of life thanks to treatment with Shoe Goo sealer. The new pair are every bit as warm, comfortable and well made as the original pair. I like the fact that they can be worn loose-laced or laced up tightly. Are they as durable as my original pair? - I'll let you know in about three decades! JN, Colchester, Vermont. Oh, the size - I wear size 13 sneakers and shoes, and my old Sorels are size 13. The new Sorels I ordered are size 13 and fit perfectly, not at all loose. April 10, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by the best boots ever I finally had to replace my 30 year old Sorel boots. The metal rings rusted away from years of winter snow plowing and spreading salt. The new pair fits great, true size 9 and the quality is close to what it was many years ago. I hope the new pair can last as long! The price was 30% lower buying direct from Sorel than the big box sporting goods retailer. February 27, 2013
Rated 4 out of 5 by Great Boot This boot gets it done. Waterproof and warm. Looks great as well. Classic style. Runs big but worth it. February 24, 2013
Rated 4 out of 5 by Handsom boots. Good looks and great performance ... if only they came in half sizes. February 6, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by Precisely as advertised Great boot. Fit and finish are top notch. Keeps my feet warm and dry. February 3, 2013
Rated 1 out of 5 by RUBBER ROTT AND CRACKING I would not recommend any soreal boot similar to this one.Although very warm and comfortable the rubber will crack and dry rott. This boot was purchased less than two years ago and with limited use of two MILD ohio winters they are gonna half to be thrown out.Apparantly this is real COMMON with these boots. So heres your review after being properly worn not a review from someone who just bought them and are still new with little wear.I have been asked below this comment what my FOOTWEAR ATTITUDE IS and my answer is one that will keep my feet dry and warm and will justify the price. January 29, 2013
Rated 4 out of 5 by Good boots These boots seemed to be comparable the the 20 year old pair they replaced. January 27, 2013
Rated 4 out of 5 by True to size So far so good. Haven't used them in the mountain yet. I'm normally a size 12 and that's what i ordered - it fit perfectly. I have wide feet so going down to 11 wasn't an option. January 20, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great cold weather bootf I've had a pair of Sorrels before, and it lasted a long time. It finally wore out, and I had other brands since. They didn't last. I now have a new pair similar to my previous Sorrel. It's great. Same quality as 30 years ago. Shoe size is very close so half sizes be careful about going down. If you are a true half size, go up. I really like that I got my new pair of Sorrels. January 18, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by Sorel comfort that looks like a normal boot I usually wear a 9.5 or 10, ordered a 9, fits great. These boots look fantastic. They're huge like other Sorels, but they don't scream "snow boots" from blocks away. I use mine while cycling in Toronto in the winter. They're big, but they fit fine on my platform pedals. Clips/straps probably wouldn't work very well, but if that's your thing you can probably get it to go. January 16, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by Amazing boots I purchased these boots for a photography trip to Northern Finland, in search of the Northern Lights. I wore them during sled trips, walking around the village, and mostly when out on shoots. Such shoots involved 3+ hours standing relatively still, feet in snow and with an air temperature of -22c. With 3 pairs of socks, my feet were comfortable and dry, whilst we watched our cameras and tripods slowly freeze! Amazing boots...truly. January 11, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by Thank you! The entire process was easy! Thank you for going "above and beyond" in customer service. December 25, 2012
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great Hunting Boot Rugged and Warm Before my brother and I look to buy Sorels we did not know what it was... We had our first Elk hunting trip to the mountains of Colorado a week ago. Sorels was in our list of required gear and our friend a 69 yrs old hunter told us we must purchase a pair. Thats how we got started. Through research we were recomended the Caraboo model and we found it at a store. When we tried them I looked like goofy, I am a 12 and the boots were like 15 on me. I called Sorel and they recomended me 1964 Premium T boot, because the smaller profile and still had the qualities of the Caraboo for cold weather. I ordered a size smaller. I ordered them online, got a discount on the shipping for the 2 pairs and they fit great. Still did not know if I was going to use them. The first day of our hunt was clear and no snow. at about 10 am the snow started falling and it went from 60 degrees to 20 degrees by 2pm. the next morning was 4 degrees. My feet were confortable and warm. We were really happy about bying our Sorels!!! By the 3rd day I had no luck on the hunt and so I told the guide that I was willing to do anything. The next day he took me on a treck of climbing 1200 yards on an almost vertical mountain wich was very difficult due to the terrain and altitud. I had a great experiency acconplishing that at about 8K feet of elevation. Saw great animals and country, but no the right hunting game... The way down was very treacherous, dark and very cold. I thought my boots will be in pieces due to the sharp rocks. the next day on the morning I inspected my boots and they held up very well, you can vearly see any scratches... Great boots, very rugged and kept the California boys very warm. November 1, 2012
Rated 5 out of 5 by Worth Every Penny These boots are everything you think they would be. The upper leather is legit. Spent last weekend (Feb 4,5) up in some Idaho ski towns. The temperatures dipped down below zero at night easily and my feet were fine. I don't even lace them all the way up, but they stay to my feet fine. I am solid 12 and went with a 12 and have room some thick wool socks. Although I haven't gone hunting or serious walking in them I did jam out pretty hard in them and they broke in beautifully. Seriously get these boots. February 7, 2012
Rated 5 out of 5 by Walking In a Winter Wonderland I bought a pair a few months ago after I was disappointed by the North Face rubber bottom boots running Way too small. These boots are incrediable!! When I first put them on I was a little worried about the leather upper being too stiff against my shins (which gives the 'ski boot' sensation of being able to lean forward) however the supple leather quickly began to break in. For my money, these boots are just right. Rugged and handsome. January 28, 2012
Rated 4 out of 5 by Replaced my 30 yr old Sorel Pak boots, good, but not GREAT! This product is the best option for replacing the old original Sorel Pak Boots (mine are ~30 years old) , and they are a good option. BUT...they are not quite as good as the originals - pretty close though. They are not as heavy as the originals. On my originals, the sole is thicker and stiffer, even after 30 years. These new ones have a thinner sole that when you press on it with your thumb you can feel the pressure point inside on your foot. I wish the sole were thicker and tougher, like the originals. The rest of the boot, including the leather upper part, seems a little thinner and lighter as well. That said, these are the closest thing I could find to the originals - and even these weren't available a year or so ago when I tried to replace my old Sorel Pak boots. These new ones are reasonably ok, but seem not as rugged for being out in the woods in. Bought mine in a 10, really needed a 10 1/2, but half size was not available. They are slightly too small, but better than the pair of a competitor's Pak boots I got size 11 a year ago that are waaay to big and also way too overly heavy and thick to use in my snowshoe bindings or otherwise hike in. Judging by the number of people who write reviews that RAVE about our old Sorel Pak boots, its hard to see why Sorell doesn't duplicate the more rugged original version. It was the absolute best boot ever. These are an acceptable replacement, but do not measure up to the originals. Plus, when these came (I ordered online), I got a bunch of literature on fashion footwear by Sorel...not sure who they think is their customer base is???? These boots are good. I'd buy them again. But I'd buy another pair of the original version in a heartbeat - it wasn't good, it was GREAT!! January 28, 2012
