Rated 5 out of 5 by Love them! This was my first pair of Sorels and I'm so glad I got them! I went back and forth before I bought them because of the price, but decided it was worth it. I live in the midwest and have to walk all over campus to go to my classes so having my boots makes it a little more bearable. These boots are very practical for a college student or anyone else who has to walk a lot in the snow. They keep my feet warm and dry which is nice when the snow starts to melt and it turns to slush. They are a little heavy and bulky but it's something you get used to quickly. I talked to one of my high school teachers about whether I should get them or not and she told me she had the same boots when she went to school and they are worth every penny. She told me they lasted a long time and she still wears them to work on the farm in the winter. These boots are warm, keep my feet dry, true to size and they seem to last a long time for most. I am very happy with my purchase and would recommend them to anyone! February 8, 2016
Rated 5 out of 5 by Blizzard Standard I wore these during NY's recent blizzard and absolutely loved them. They fit true to size and kept my feet super warm and dry February 4, 2016
Rated 5 out of 5 by Gorgeous, Comfy Boots I purchased these in a 9 instead of my usual 8.5 after speaking with a customer service representative. They fit like a dream. They are very comfortable, no rubbing or digging at the back of the ankles as is common in the Joan of Arctic boots from Sorel. I walk around campus in nasty blizzard conditions and have no problems with them. They are completely waterproof, extremely warm, a little on the heavier side but not enough to be annoying, and super stylish! I can't tell you how many people I have seen with Sorel boots on campus. EVERY time I go to class I spot at least three people with them. Us Northerners know our boots! Get them, you will love them forever and they will last forever. February 4, 2016
Rated 4 out of 5 by Decent Boot Average-Good Rating(3.5) I live at 10,000 ft with 6-8 months of winter and have been looking for a decent boot for while. These boots run big. I normally wear 7.5 and was told to buy a size 8 and they were huge, so I had to exchange them. I don't believe they are true to being rated to -45 degrees. Whether I'm standing or sitting ice fishing, my feet are almost always cold unless I'm constantly moving. I recently ordered the higher rated inserts and hope they help. These boots are pretty heavy compared to Muck Artic boots and other common brands. Overall, I still like them but wish they came a little warmer and were a little lighter. February 3, 2016
Rated 5 out of 5 by Love these boots I live in MN. These boots are a staple in my winter wardrobe. February 1, 2016
Rated 5 out of 5 by Excellent Wonter Boot I usually wear a size 7, so I got a size 7, and it fits perfectly. There's also enough room (but not too much room) to wear thick socks. These are great for heavy snow and prolonged wear outside. Forewarning that they are hard to drive in since they are large around your foot and the ankle isn't super flexible. February 1, 2016
Rated 4 out of 5 by The snowy winter ski resort boot of choice Perfect ski resort winter wear. This is the Colorado mountain town local's choice winter footwear. Works for shoveling the driveway, work, and a night out on the town. You can tell who is local by what they are wearing. The ski resort I work at stocks these in the employee company store. I just bought a new pair cause my old ones were done after three seasons. The rubber uppers just started splitting open. The soles and leather still looked new. The size is true to fit. One can wear a pair of nice thick wool blend socks with your feet. My feet do start to get cold in them when the temp is 30 to 40 degrees below zero. It was minus 45 the other week in the Fraser Valley. The traction is great in the snow. I add some Yak Trax for walking on ice. I'm glad the ski resort stocks these at employee pricing. They keep your feet warm at work. January 30, 2016
Rated 5 out of 5 by Definitely order a size smaller! These are my first pair of Sorels and I am obsessed! I love them so much. I wish it would snow everyday so I could wear them. They keep my feet very warm and yes are a bit heavy but you do get used to that, I mean they are snow boots.. I ordered a whole size down after reading the reviews (I'm a 7 1/2, I ordered a 6 1/2) and my boots fit perfectly. January 27, 2016
Rated 5 out of 5 by Excellent boot I cannot live without this boot. I live in Colorado and it can be extremely cold. I have a ranch and I am outside at least 3xs a day doing barn chores. I have had my boots for almost 11 yrs. just now I got a hole in the sole. I need to replace them ASAP. They keep your feet warm and dry like no other boot. Love, love them. January 24, 2016
Rated 5 out of 5 by great quality & long lasting I have been a fan of Sorel since I was in high school....ummmm that has been over 20 years. I just had to replace my 20 year old pair with a new one. These boots are made of great quality along with their cool stylish look. There was never a time that I didnt get a compliment! Love them and will continue to stay a fan. Great in the snow...rain...and cold. They are heavy at first but you get used to them quickly. I love them so much i bought my 8 year old a pair and she loves them just the same especially when we wear them together. January 16, 2016
Rated 4 out of 5 by size down these boots fit large for their size. January 14, 2016
Rated 5 out of 5 by Stands up to Minnesotan Weather I've only had these shoes for about a month and a half but I am completely obsessed with them! The winters in Minnesota are very harsh and this winter is no exception. These boots have kept my feet warm in -25 degree weather and stabilized me on icy sidewalks. So if you live in the midwest and you're concerned about whether they keep you warm the inside is very well insulated with a thick inner sole and do a good job of protecting against cold weather. The quality of the boot so far is superb and they are really sturdy and constructed really well! I got these boots in the color buff and they have complemented all my outfits nicely. Overall I'm extremely pleased with this purchase and if you're on the fence of buying these, get them! They are worth the investment. January 13, 2016
Rated 5 out of 5 by Love'em. But it took 2 tries. In all of my shoes I wear an 8.5. So I ordered an 8.5. I returned then for a 7.5 and they are perfect. I saw the fit thing on line after I got the first pair. It would have recommended an 8, which would still have been too big. January 13, 2016
Rated 4 out of 5 by Great Large Size Option Needing a quality and budget-friendly boot in a large size (12) I am often limited in options. I wanted to buy a Sorel boot soon after after reading about the company's exceptional history and reputation for quality. What sealed the deal for me were the comments on the Caribou fitting true to size or slightly larger, a needle in a haystack find for a size 12 girl like me. Overall my experience with the boots has been great. I've had them for a little more than a month and have had only minimal, insignificant complaints (listed as my cons). At times, even living through a Michigan winter, I think I could have bought one of Sorel's "less sturdy" or less warm styles for my casual needs (car>office, shoveling, short walks) as the Caribou truly exceeded my expectations for warmth and durability. Pros: Very warm, Excellent fit (room for thick socks), Removable inserts Cons: Heavy, Feet look larger, Moderate ankle movement restriction January 13, 2016
Rated 4 out of 5 by To Big Ordered the boots for Christmas... My daughter loves them and was excited to wear them right away, however they are to big. She wears a 6.5 in UGG and Nike, however it seems as though I should have ordered a 5.5. We are going to try them on in person then return them. Love these boots. January 5, 2016
Rated 5 out of 5 by LOVE MY BOOTS!!! Great quality boots! Shipped fast and in great condition. Keep my feet warm and dry! Perfect for Michigan winters! January 5, 2016
Rated 4 out of 5 by think i was missing something I ordered my boots when I got them I didn't know it, but my boyfriend sand there wasn't a liner in it. I like the boot but my feet get so cold January 4, 2016
Rated 5 out of 5 by Amazing winter boot! Great winter boot in function, style and warmth. I just underwent major shoulder surgery and bought these in Stone Black so I don't slip. Amazing traction so far. I usually wear a 7-7.5 (sometimes 8) and finally bought these in a size 6 after trying and returning 7's and 6.5's which were both massive. January 4, 2016
Rated 4 out of 5 by A little chunky but WARM They are a little chunkier/heavier than I thought they would be, but are incredibly warm/wind resistant. January 3, 2016
Rated 5 out of 5 by Worth the buy for winter weather Great winter boots. They are really heavy is the only bad thing but it's not too bad. I'm happy with my purchase. January 3, 2016
Rated 3 out of 5 by My ankles I am a size 10 so that is the size I ordered but I could have gone down a full size. These boots are extremely stiff and bulky. They are very heavy on my feet. Definitely not a good shoe to walk long distances. My feet kept sliding in these and now my toes and ankles hurt. I dread having to put them back on. The one plus is that my feet were extremely warm. December 30, 2015
Rated 4 out of 5 by 4.5 stars if possible These boots are GREAT for heavy duty snow, they keep your feet very warm and dry. We just got about a foot of snow and I walked about a mile to the store and back in these boots, not once were my feet cold or wet. My only complaint is that they are kind of heavy, and make your feet look larger then the average snow boot. My legs are sore today from walking in these boots so much yesterday, they are almost like wearing ankle weights. The first few times that you wear them you will feel very clumsy. I also do not like to drive in these boots because they are so big they are awkward to drive in, I am afraid that I will hit the wrong pedal by accident. However if you want a solid snow boot to actually utilize in the snow it is a great fit. December 30, 2015
Rated 4 out of 5 by Great winter boot! These are my first pair of Sorel boots and I couldn't be happier with my purchase. I was nervous because I wasn't sure what size I should order; I generally wear a size 7.5 in most shoes, occasionally I will need an 8 because my feet are a bit wide. I ordered the size 7 and they fit perfect. I wore them with a thinner sock and they fit great. I was finally able to wear my boots today. I received them back in early November but winter has taken its time getting here in Massachusetts! The boots kept my feet quite warm while I was out shoveling. The boots didn't feel heavy or clunky, they are a bit bulky but they serve their purpose. My only complaint is that they seemed to dig in a bit at the top of my ankle/bottom of my calf but I'm hoping once I wear them a bit more and break them in, that shouldn't be a problem. Great product and I look forward to purchasing more boots in the future December 29, 2015
Rated 3 out of 5 by Way too big Got these boots for Christmas and they were so where near true to size. Order a size down atleast. December 28, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by Awesome boots!! I've been wanting to order this boots since last winter, finally got around to getting a pair. Originally got a size 9. Quality was outstanding, the materials and the warmth of the boots was excellent. I'm always walking around with cold feet and with these boots, no problem I had to return the size 9 and exchange for a size 8. Be aware that they are very heavy weight, a lot heavier than I expected, but I get a lot of compliments on them whenever I wear them, people want to know where I got them. I'm really glad I finally got them! December 27, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great boot but not for me~ I was hoping to love these boots as the look of them are absolutely stunning. They are VERY well made and I'm sure they'd keep the cold out...But for me they are way too heavy and clunky, I mean they are like clown shoes and I couldn't imagine trying to walk or maneuver in deep snow with these things on. I live in Oregon where the winters aren't too crazy and I live in the Valley so for me to have this kind of boot is ridiculous, I do believe they would be perfect for Canada or Alaska or somewhere really harsh. The fit is weird also, it's a perfect fit but not, like it was hard to have a really thick sock on and then try to shove your foot into the boot, but once it was in there it felt fine and taking your foot out was annoying because the inner lining came completely out and I'd have to take it off my foot and shove it back in the boot, so I thought the size was odd. I think it'd be good to go half size up in my opinion. Overall I still think this boot is badass, just not for me. Hope this helps :) I do think it's worth every penny though and the build of the boot is insanely good. December 26, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by Womens caribou boot I LOVE THESE BOOTS!! I looked everywhere for these and finally found them at Sorel....thank u ! December 25, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by Just got them — LOVE THEM. These run large. Rather than going down a half or full-size and gambling on the fit, though, use the size chart and get the right size! I went that route and the boots fit perfectly. The boots themselves are a bit heavy but they're very, very warm and completely waterproof. December 22, 2015
Rated 2 out of 5 by Too chunky After looking at reviews of everyone saying these boots are too large and chunky, I thought I'd give them a try because I live in Wisconsin and need a heavy snow boot for walking to classes. After trying these boots on, I looked like I put a pair of my dads construction boots on. They were way too clunky and heavy on my feet, especially being a 9.5. I understand that you need a big boot to handle the winters, but this style was way too much. December 21, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by Old school Sorels, unisex question... I grew up wearing the old school Caribou, dad, daughter, everyone wore the same style..this was my first "women's" purchase, so was nervous about toe box being petite, narrow, ordered one size up, way too big... My advice is to order your normal size, they say women's but they seem to be old school, universal "back in the day" fit. I got a pair of Nike's from men's department, they were size 6, women's were out of stock in size 8, same situation, they don't run wider in mens. I work outside, need waterproof, all day foot warmth, in 20-30 degrees. December 21, 2015
Rated 2 out of 5 by boots For the price of the boots, I expected to have top quality boots. When I received them an eyelet was not stitched on at all it was semi glued but that didn't last long. December 20, 2015
Rated 3 out of 5 by It's a lot of boot I can't say I am completely satisfied with this boot, but I did keep it. The fit is large. I ordered according to the fit guide and selected size 6.5. Normally, I wear a 7 and my old Sorel boots are a 7. The 6.5 is a very roomy in the width. I was looking for a very warm boot for days when I work outside for several hours at a time. This boot fits the bill. However, it is very heavy and bulky, so it is almost tiring to walk around in it for many hours. I would recommend this boot if warmth is what you are after, but not if you want all-day comfort. Hope this helps. December 19, 2015
Rated 4 out of 5 by Very wide and big Let me start off by saying that I do like these boots. They are very warm and comfortable. The liner is nice and not too fuzzy except for the very top portion and that is nice at the top of the boot so it doesn't rub the leg. The boot is really wide and large. They obviously are too much for what i need in the south and visiting Park City once a year. Unfortunately no where around me had these to try on or see in person before i purchased though. But with that being said, I do recommend them. They were warm and well worth the money for my recent trip to Park City. They are heavy so don't plan on wearing them day in and day out. These are more for occasional use or intended for simple walking in snow/icy conditions. I did go snowshoeing in these and it made the workout that much better....so there is that if you want more weight and better workout. All in all great boot and would be amazing for people with heavy snow. If i had time i would have exchanged for another boot that isn't as wide and heavy. December 17, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by Had to order full size smaller Thankfully, I read the other reviews that said they run large. I ordered a 7.5 and usually wear a 8.5 and they fit perfectly!!! My first snow boot so they are bulky with limited ankle mobility but I thinks that's to be expected. Beautiful shoes. Very happy. December 17, 2015
Rated 1 out of 5 by Dissatisfied I order the boots twice because the boots wear to big. I had to paid twice to return the boots and even paid addictonal for next day. Boots still did not fit. December 17, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by Caribou Brought these for my girlfriend. She LOVES them. Beautiful, fits well and my feet super warm. Highly recommended December 17, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by Serious snow & cold boot Ignore your normal size, measure in CM's with your thickest socks, use the fit guide and there will still be plenty of room to wiggle your toes without sizing up. Yes they are wide and accommodate double socks if needed. I normally buy all hiking boots in a 10, ordered 9.5 and could use a 9. Returning only because I don't live where I can use them more often than vacations. December 16, 2015
Rated 4 out of 5 by Order size down Love the boots for the Michigan Upper Peninsula weather. But they definately ran big. My daughter ordered her normal shoe size then we read reviews and ordered a whole size smaller, but could have used another half size smaller as well. December 16, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by Fantastic Boot Boot is everything and more! I normally wear a 7 and it was slightly big but when I put on thicker socks they should fit perfect! They are extremely warm! December 15, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by Winter boots, wonderfully warm read the size chart! These boots are perfect for cold Winter frosty/snowy weather. They are definetly not 'every day casual boots' (too big and clumpy) but seriously good for real weather conditions and will last a lifetime. I was ordering overseas so was nervous about what size to order. Best advise is MEASURE YOUR FEET USING THEIR FIT GUIDE i am normally a 8.5 Eur 39 but came out on length at 25cm so ordered 8 which is perfect. Due to the bigger/wider boot (due to lining) they do look bigger in the box, so you wont want them to arrive and be a little big as they will look and feel even bigger. Very pleased with them. December 15, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by Boot Review Your product has great features. Love the boots. December 14, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by Caribou Runs Large I originally ordered these in 6.5 for my daughter but had to return and order 5.5 because they run large. She normally wears 6.5 in running shoes like Nike and the 5.5 in the Caribou fit perfectly. I would recommend ordering down in size. December 13, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by WARM AND WONDERFUL!! Living in the state that gets the most snow and has the longest winters; these will come in handY. I love them :-)!!! December 13, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by Smart Investment I never even heard of Sorel until a few months ago, and I'm glad I found out about their products! I was very nervous about ordering shoes online because obviously you can't try them on. I usually wear a 10 shoe and I decided to go with a 9.5 just to be safe. It is a bit roomy at the toes, but I wasn't wearing thick socks when I tried them on. Regardless, I don't feel the need to exchange them for only a half a size down. I understand that the boots are a bit big and heavy, but what do you expect? They're heavy duty snow boots! I can't wait to wear them this winter. December 11, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by LOVE Love this boot! Fit is true to size. I ordered a half a size bigger so I can comfortably wear a bigger sock or layer socks. And it's perfect. They are by far the most comfortable boot I've ever worn. Now please note this is a big chunky boot. At -40 they have to be. I saw some people complaining on how big they are. I have owned caribous before so knew this was a nice size warm boot. And they are warm! Worth the money. My last pair lasted for 15 yrs through cold NY mountain winters. December 8, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by Will exchange I'd read the reviews that these run large. I wear a 6.5-7. I ordered a 6. A bit too small. Will exchange for 6.5. At first, I thought maybe it was just that the ankle area was snug and was pulling my socks so that the toes of my socks were what seemed small. But I tried them on without socks and I could feel the toe of the boot. So while they do run large, for me they definitely don't run a full size large. I'm guessing 6.5 will fit me so they run on the edge of my normal range, rather than having to jump down. The waiting begins anew. December 5, 2015
Rated 4 out of 5 by Love 'em! I was glad I went with my instincts and got my size, a size 8. They fit perfect, they aren't too big or small. They are heavy, but aren't legit winter boots supposed to be? I got the color black and I love how you can see Sorel on the side in bold white print! I hope it snows soon so I can wear these. December 3, 2015
Rated 4 out of 5 by Clown feet Liked these boots, but felt self-conscious about how large my feet looked in them! I felt like a clown. I really wanted to love them, but they were even bulkier than I was expecting and I ultimately returned them. They were warm and cozy though! I am recommending them for those who want a sturdy, heavy snow boot (not those who want something to wear with jeans or leggings for everyday use)! December 3, 2015
Rated 1 out of 5 by Heavy and very bulky I recieved these caribou boots in the mail yesterday and oh my!! I opened up the box and thought I had ordered men's boots! I have another pair of sorels (Joan of the artic & I love them!) and I compared the caribou ones to my others and they were about twice the size! (They are both a 9.5). And these boots are SO heavy. I read the reviews before I bought these and thought people were just overreacting but no, they are very heavy and bulky. I was planning on wearing these daily as winter is coming up but I will be returning these, unfortunately. December 2, 2015
Rated 2 out of 5 by Too large, disappointed I am a very typical shoe size 8 and ordered as such. These boots are way too big and I am unable to wear them. November 25, 2015
