These are a very nice pair of boots.

Great boots but too large
I loved the look and feel of the boots but they were a bit too large, so I am returning them. Once I am reimbursed, I will order another pair in the next smaller size.

Best Was, Is, and Will be
I've had 2 pairs of Sorel Caribous in my life, one pair I keep in Reno, NV I've had for over 20 years, my father now wears them. I just bought a pair for NYC after trying to use Hunters. No comparison. Hands down the best boot out there.
January 19, 2012
Very nice
Excellent quality and very comfortable.
January 16, 2012
Sizes run big
I bought these boots in a size 12 for my Boyfriend (who is a true size 12 in U.S.). However they were way to big! Plus they will probably pack out some after wearing them for a while. I returned them for a size 11 and fit great. Other than this set back they are amazing boots that keep him warm dry and comfortable. Just remember when ordering they run big!
January 14, 2012
Amazingly warm
Chicago winters are the worse. I order these online cause they were recommended by GQ and looked really cute.
They didn't disappoint. They are very fashionable and functional at the same time. Highly recommended.

Finally my husband has these most excellent boots
I have had my Sorel's since 1984 bought them my first winter in Vermont my Cambridge MA boots were not cutting it. I still am wearing them every year my feet are dry and warm. My husband said late last winer, "I sure would like a pair of those boots like yours, you feet are always dry and warm." So you should have seen his eyes grow wide and the smile Christmas morning, I was able to get him something he really wanted, now he's praying for snow that I can live without, but I am a person who has had happy winter feet, shoveling, walking, playing in the snow for years and now we will both feel this way. Go ahead buy yourself a pair of these fantastic boots and never look back, best investment in happy warm feet!! They are so well made you will be reminded of what really great quality is, as well as an amazingly fair price. So order now you will always be glad and your search for the perfect boots will be over, you will be wearing them

Great product
The inner boot feels snug, however, once inside the boot it is very comfortable. Overall, I love them.

Excellant product!!!!
We are originally from the U. P. in Michigan, so needless to say it is a winter wonderland We have grown up wearing Sorel Boots and continue to do so..It always has been and continues to be a wonderful product..I love that the styles vary and there are more choices to choose from..I would and do recommend these boots to anyone that is looking for a warm, well made, attractive product.

Fit
My son loved the boots, knew he would; however an 8 was too large and a 7 too small. Trying to decide if we'll keep the 7 and go with thin socks, or . . . The postage is killing me!
January 4, 2012
Always turn to Sorel
This will be my 4th purchase of Sorel's. I bought my first years ago which I still depend on for deeper snow and colder weather. I purchased another pair for my son and daughter. This is my son's second pair since he outgrew the others. He loves the warmth and asked me to get another pair from the same manufacturer of his old ones. They last years and after hours of being outside in snow and cold, my feet never get cold.

great warm boots looks great
I wish I could find a reason to wear these boots every day to work etc..
great pair of boots, nice n warm, no need for thick socks.
I typically wear 10.5 or 11 in shoes / sneakers, but a pair of 10's in these fit great.
January 2, 2012
she loves them
I bought these for my daughter she wears them every where she goes she love that they keep her feet nice and warm and fit like a glove

Awesome!
Having just moved from TX to AK, I quickly learned the value of a good pair of snow boots and these fit the bill perfectly. I am looking forward to having these for years to come. The fit was good and a good pair of wool socks make it perfect.

Sorel Caribou boots
Purchased these boots for my son, who is a member of the ski lift team at the Vail Resorts in Colo. He must stand on the snow daily for 10 hours. He says that his feet are never cold and the boots are super comfortable, besides they are stylish looking. ( at least in Colo.) I purchased an extra set of liners for him. He has used his boot warmer and dryer to dry them. He also is wearing Merino wool socks with the boots as recommended by the Sorel service customer staff. We highly recommend these boots. His father has had his Sorels for over 30 years. We hope that these last many years as well! Lincoln. Ne.

Terrific men's snowboot. now we just need the snow to give 'em a run for their money!

Great Telluride Boot
These are my go-to boot for snowy days in Telluride. Waterproof, warm and good looking. What more could you ask for?
December 24, 2011
I'm 5'5 255 lbs.
I got my Sorel boots quickly! I'm a bigger guy, 5'5 255 lbs. I have a very large calf. The boots are true to their size, but the liner was very tight on my upper calf. I fixed this very quickly by taking a pair of scissors and cutting about 2 inches straight down the front of the lining. They fit perfectly now!!! I love them! They are super warm and totally waterproof. Should last forever!
December 23, 2011
pretty big, very cozy
Great boots, no doubt! Living with 400" to 600" of snow annually, you are intimate with your boots. I live in my Sorels for 6 months a year. They are great in snow but treacherous on sheet ice. I have studded my latest pair, like tires, it works wonders. If you are going to spend much time in snow above the ankle, sno-seal the uppers. They are a bit large as I wear a 9.5 shoe, 26.5 boot but a 7 1/2 Sorel. I am on my second set of Sorels. My first set lasted about 4 seasons of daily use. The second set seems to be lasting longer with the smaller size and proper fit.
There is nothing better for a daily life boot.

Great boots
When you finally get to go to Lambeau field for a football game - you have to go in style. A friend recommended the boots and I am thrilled to report they were everything I hoped for. They even came in a "silver and black" color scheme to show my team allegiance.

Good through retirement...
Strictly speaking, I bought these for my husband so I don't really know how they feel, but he loves them. He says they're probably not good if you were intending to walk 10 miles, but for hunting, fishing and working outdoors in a MN winter they're excellent. His feet stay warmer than they ever have in any boot he's ever owned and that includes combat issued cold-weather Army boots! We know Sorels well being Minnesotans and these are probably going to last until our now 4 yr old son has graduated college or longer. When you buy Sorel you know it's a long-term investment and worth every dime. Great buy!

Best for the Snow!
These are the best for the snow. Never worry about feet being too cold or getting wet. These are the first boots my wife has owned that she comments keep her feet warm in the snow.
December 7, 2011
A great boot for the snow and cold
I bought these boots for walking my dogs around the park on cold snowy days and they have not disappointed me. I wore them while walking my dogs through foot deep snow in sub-zero temperatures and my feet stayed warm and dry.

There Really Warm
So I'm a Californian who didn't grow up in the cold, obviously. I travel all over the west coast as part of my job and occasionally I end up somewhere bone chilling cold and snowy. I purchased the Caribou's cause I needed a boot that could handle those occasions. So far so good. They fit a little big but I tried on a size smaller then the 9's I bought and they fit tight, so be aware of that when you buy off the internet.
December 5, 2011
amazing, but huge
bought a pair last winter and they are fantabulouse...
HOWEVER:
Once they broke in (few light hikes, chores etc) they became absolutely without a doubt WAY WAY to big and loose. I wear a size 10 in EVERY other shoe brand, had to buy size 8 in the Caribou (Euro sz 41, which is what i wear) and they still became floppy-big after a few winter jaunts.
Great product just beware of fit issues....
December 2, 2011
Tried and True
Replacing a pair I have had forever. Great design. You don't want to hike or snowshoe in these but a great boot for almost any function in the snow and cold that does not require travel long distance. Winter Camping, Snow Removal, Apres Ski etc.
If you wear a half size go up.

21 Years and Still Going
I bought my Caribous in 1990 (seems so long ago), and they are still in great shape. The winter I bought them I worked on a lumber mill and tree farm through the winter in New Hampshire. These boots never failed me. I did that for two years while I attended college at night. Once swapping to day classes the boots were used walking between buildings on campus and winter sports. I still wear them for small winter treks, snow shoeing, shoveling and farm chores. The reason I came onto the site was to see if I could get boot liners, which I can so I will see how many more years I can go with them! Anyway, these boots are a great investment and I will buy another pair when/if I wear these out!

Finally Got New Caribous!
Customer Service Was superb. The product is fantastic. just like my old friends, purchased in 1984. New color and as wonderful as the old guys. I'm keeping the old guys for really nasty days in the mud and slush.
the fit is great and I am a happy customer.
THANKS!

Need more snow!
Throughout my childhood I always owned a pair of Sorels until I loaned them to my brother and never got them back. Perhaps my memory is a little "iffy" on this, but I believe these are better constructed than the Sorels I had in the 70's and 80's. They are just as comfortable, just as warm as I recall, but they feel more durable to me. I'm in Denver and have been too busy to find myself in the mountains to really get more use out of them. The snow we had right after I received them was a good barometer of how warm they are. I am sure I'll have these for years to come.

These boots are great. They fit better then the L.L. Bean boots.

Snow Wheelin
My buddy and I were planning on taking our off-road trucks to play in the snow. he recommended I get some Sorel's. I had talked with one of your customer service representatives and he was very helpful. I ordered the Carabou's in black. They arrived in time for my trip and fit excellent. They are number wise, a smaller size due to my friend telling me they run big, so I took the chance in ordering a smaller size. I was able to drive my 87 Toyota 4runner with ease and the 12 hours we were in and out of the hip deep show, my feet never got wet or cold. I love your boots, and will never have to have cold, wet feet again. Thank you for a great product, at a very reasonable price , awesome promt shipping and excellent customer service.. I will definitly buy a pair for my wife and recommend them to anyone who is looking for boots..

So Comfortable !!!
I bought these for a recent trip to Aspen. There is no better feeling to take your heavy ski boots off after a long day of skiing and put on these Sorel boots. Super comfortable and really well made.

Great boot
Warm, very comfy and fit great. A good looking boot that is as comfortable as a pair of slippers. Love em.

Excellent Service
My order just arrived and the boots are a perfect fit. Other reviews attest to their worth so I'll provide some detail about the purchase and delivery experience. I chose the fastest, $19 shipping option and suspect it was worth the additional $13: My order was confirmed Wednesday evening. I received shipment confirmation Thursday, my bank account was charged Friday and UPS delivered the package Saturday afternoon.

This is the only boot you need
I've had my Sorel Caribous for over 25 years. I tell anyone who will listen if they are in the market for a quality "snow" boot, buy a pair of Sorel Caribous. They hold up remarkably well and will probably be the last snow boot you'll ever buy. From Norway to the German and Swiss Alps, the Rockies, Sierras and flat land sludge my caribous have held up and kept my toes warm in all conditions. Do your feet a favor and get a pair.

Best winter boots hands down (or feet)
I purchased my Caribou's back in 1981, I just took them off my feet... again, after having spent hours in the cold. When I bought these, the salesperson told me they were "the rage" in Aspen, well, I don't really care about Aspen, I live in Buffalo New York, where it's essential to have warm winter boots. I believe I've replaced the laces once or twice, but other than that they have been unbelievably durable. They are warm, dry and durable beyond anything I believe I've ever owned. I've no doubt it's the best money I have ever spent. You won't want to run a marathon in these, but for comfort and durability in the winter, you can beat them.

Lost in flood
The only reason I am replacing my boots is because they were lost in a flood that took everything from my house. I bought my boots back in 1995 and would not be replacing them if it weren't for the flood. Now that I'm a little bit older and re married I will be getting boots for all 5 kids and my wife and I. I guess there is no place in Oklahoma any more to get sorrels? The only bad thing about that is I would like to have everyone try them on for size first. SOREL is there any place in Oklahoma that sells your wonderful boots? By the way it's -28 this morning.

Great Customer Care
This is the 3rd season wearing my boots. Noticed small tear in the rubber on side of right boot. Also, noticed that the sole and the boot was starting to seperated alittle bit at the bend of the foot. Went onto the Sorel website to see if there was any suggestions to repairing the boot. Perhaps some glue or apoxy. They asked for pictures, I sent pictures, and next thing you know, Sorel sent me a pair of brand new Caribous. Nice!.. Thats the way to keep loyal Customers. Hopefully this second pair will last 20-30 years as others have experienced.

Replacing my Caribous bought in 1975
I have to tell you that I have owned a pair of Carabous since 1976 bought in St. Paul. They still look like new and have served me well winter after winter. The only reason that I am replacing them with a new pair is because I feel guilty in how long these originals have lasted. I worry that any company making such a fine product will not be able to stay in business if replacements are only bought every 34 years or so.
February 2, 2011
Best boots out there
I have had my Sorels for 26 years and the original laces. I am a landscape contractor and wear these constantly all winter long for daily use and snow removal. My wife asked me why I wear those clunky boots all the time and my response was because they are like wearing big fuzzy slippers. That is how comfy these boots are to me. I just ordered my first replacement liners because I realized the other day that there really wasn't anything left of them. I have bought these for my sons also who work for me and they love them.
Thank you Sorel for making such a GREAT product!!!
January 25, 2011
Boots are tremendous
My last pair lasted 30 years. Yes........30 years. How does this company make money? These boots are the best I've ever owned and they last forever. Great product!!! Worth every dime you spend.

MY FAVORITE BOOT FOR 25 YEARS! THAT'S RIGHT 25 YRS
I am ot lying! I have had these boots for 25 years... These are the greatest, well built boots in the world... They are comfortable and lighter than most boots... Your feet will stay toasty all day in the snow... You can even drive with these boots on... I do replace the liners every 4-5 years and I have the original laces still on the boots... My 17 year old son just took these from me today and said "Dad, get another pair for yourself, I'm keeping these!"
I am buying another pair of the same boots for myself in the same exact size of 10.5"... Today... I do have 3 other pairs of high-end boots and they are too heavy and clunky to wear... If you do not buy these boots your a fool!

Great Boots
My father has owned his pair of boots since 1972 and he loves them. He'll change the liner once in a while due to wear n tear, but he swears by Sorel's. I just bought a new pair of sorel's this and i love them. They keep my feet warm and dry. Every Sunday I watch the Patriots and stand by a fire, and being in New England this time of year it gets a little cold so i have to keep my feet happy
January 11, 2011
Liner insulation
I've owned my Sorels since 1998 and have used them every winter and they have held up very well. Now that I'm a little older and need more insulation to keep my toes/feet from getting so cold, I need more insulation. Can you tell me what insualtion value the Caribou's had in 1998 and if there are liners available that carry a higer value to increase warmth. I spend several hours each day on the ice during the winters fishing and need some help in this area. Please respond with a favorable solution.
Thanks

5 years plus
I have worn these through Ontario winters and have worn the same pair here in Alberta for the last 2 years- these have survived heavy use for 5 years so far.
It can gets really cold in the Rockies (-30C and below) and these keep my feet nice and warm for hours. The tread is good for poor walking conditions as well. Although these look big and heavy, I can get away with wearing these while snowshoing and trudging up hills as well. I guess I could get away with wearing a lighter boot or shoe but these seem to handle the winter crud pretty well.
