WOMEN'S SLIMPACK™ RIDING TALL II is rated 4.5 out of 5 by 48.
Rated 2 out of 5 by from Wonderful boots that just don’t last. Two weeks ago I threw away my second pair of these boots. After less than two years of wear, the rubber cracked and split at the back just below where the rubber meets the leather. When I bought these boots in May of 2017, they were the replacement for a pair of the original model that also experienced a crack in the rubber. The first pair lasted 4 winters, these didn’t even make it to their second one. These boots are just too expensive to fail so quickly.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from LOVE these boots! These are my go to boots and I love them! I wish I had them in every color but they seem to be out of most sizes....please bring these boots back! Comfortable, stylish, weatherproof, best boots ever!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from My Favorite! I probably wear these boots too often. From winters in Boston, to wet spring and falls in Nashville and everything in between, these boots are my go-to! They can be worn for the elements, yet don't need to changed when you get the to party. They are fashionable and unique in design, people always ask me about them. They are comfortable enough to wear all day too. They keep you warm in the snow, and don't overheat your feet when inside. I have asked these boots to do a lot of work, and they always come through because of their quality and their functionality. A must!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from My new favorite boots! These boots meet all requirements and then some! These boots are extremely comfortable, warm and stylish. I needed a pair of boots that I could wear all day whether I was attending my children’s athletic activities, tailgating and spending the day at a football game or running errands. The perfect boot!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from A wonderful boot! I really like this boot. I ordered a 7.5, which I am usually that size in Sorel boots, however it was a bit too small. My only other reservation is the calf width. The straps only open up so far which means it is still a bit snug around the calf. I have heard the leather stretches out however, it is the straps that does not allow the expansion. It was not a big deal though so I ordered an 8 and am very happy with them!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love These Boots! I have been looking for a rain/snow boot for a while, but I have wide calf’s so it was difficult. The calf was a lil snug at first but ended up stretching just fine. I wanted something other than your typical black/brown shiny riding boots. When I saw these on my sis in law, I was like I have to have them! I got the grey ones first and ordered an 8, I normally wear a 7 in everything but was worried they would be small, there a lil big but nothing that a thick sock won’t take care of. I love that they are classy but casual, I can wear with jeans or leggings and get plenty of compliments. They are great for fall and winter weather rain/snow everything and my feet stay dry and toasty. I loved my grey ones so much I ordered the Red and Tabacco in my normal 7 this time and they fit like a glove. I’ll be ordering the black ones as soon as the hubby leaves for hunting trip, so he doesn’t see the box delivered.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love my Sorel Slimpacks! A friend had these boots on one night and i loved them so much I bought a pair. I love the quality of the boots and they fit perfectly. They are so comfortable! I have several pair of boots and these are now my favorite. Would highly recommend to anyone needing a sharp looking and comfortable rain/snow boot.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love The calf part is tight but I have wide wide calves. I went up a 1/2 a size to wear thick socks. I got them because so many of my friends swear by them here

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Fun and comfortable Stylish boot for rainy weather. Great look for an adult woman. Very comfortable and not heavy for a tall boot. Works well in garden, pant legs don’t get wet when watering. Highly recommend

Rated 5 out of 5 by from So comfortable This is my third pair of these boots. The reddish tone is awesome rich and unique. I usually buy these in size 9 but this time I went a little smaller and it fits perfectly as these boots tend to stretch a little, the calf area is nice with space for pants in. They are good to run around all day in and out. I usually find myself wearing them 8h a day and forget to take them off because they are like a second skin. They are durable but I just love to keep buying them in all colors

Rated 5 out of 5 by from LOVE THESE BOOTS!!! I have been in love with these boots for awhile, but by the time I got around to getting them, they would be out of my size. I finally got them and couldn't be happier with my purchase!! They are going to be perfect to wear during chilly fall sports right through to soggy spring sports. This is my 4th pair of Sorel boots, they will have my loyalty for their great quality for a very long time to come.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from had to return twice I purchased these boots in the quarry pebble color and had to return because the color of the boots did not match. One was a much lighter gray, and the other a dark gray. I returned them and ordered another pair, but got another pair where the left boot was one color and the right was a completely diffferent color.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Winter chic I knew when I saw these boots that I had to have them. I have several other pair of Sorel boots, but I loved the chic look of these. They can be dressed up or down. I wore them on a wet Chicago day and my socks were slightly damp by the end of the day from water.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Best Overpriced Rain Boots I ever Bought Let me start by sharing—I live in the White Mountains of NH. Winters here can be hard—snowy, long, and bitterly cold. Between work and kids, I was looking for a new pair of boots that would transition from professionally polished office environment to kids' activities with ease while still allowing me to make contact with the brake pedal of my car. My 1997 Christmas gifted Sorel were exhausted—but boy, what a great boot they were for +20 yrs! There was not a Nor'Easter or sub zero day that I feared for my feet! Which naturally had me looking for a replacement pair of Sorel. I researched for weeks between different vendors, distributors, trying on boots in stores in the area, and reading up on Sorel.com before finally pulling the trigger on the purchase. I wasn't willing to take a full price risk, but a good sale on a website with free shipping had my business. I knew there would be, what I projected, a "slight compromise" in warmth to get the style I desired, but multiple "rave reviews", somewhere between here and there, boasted of brave pioneering women wearing these on their "mountainous weekend winter excursions while on their quests for the perfect winter sunset ”. If the potential to climb to the top of the mountains in my backyard existed, that alone would be bonus. I should have known better. What I didn't plan on was just how disappointed I would be with the overall function of these boots. Sadly, these are not the Sorel that I came to know and love. Insulation is nearly non-existent and I am still worried the liner is going to pull off the calf-shaft with each wear. Want to really know what "100 grams of insulation" feels like? Put on a pair of trouser socks and you'll be ahead of these boots for warmth. Second, both the rubber sole and actual foot of my old Sorel could have been used to ground out a power plant—but the “vulcanized rubber” on these is a joke. They are one stubbed toe away from puncture and then—the trash, and honestly, credit cards appear to have more thickness than the rubber wall. Speaking of the rubber, while some reviews left me feeling confident with the no-slip grip sole, the hard heel will quickly take away any assurance you have when walking across ceramic tile or VCT. I've eaten my grocery bags a couple times. Lastly. I have been very fortunate to have a “chameleon” of a foot. I have never needed arch support and have never met a footbed that has caused me discomfort after 12 hours of consecutive wear. These boots have about a 4 hour life expectancy on my feet before I'm looking for the comfort of something else. The highlight of these boots? They are cute [I bought the Red], but definitely a fashion statement. They are light, by comparison, to my former boots, which would leave you with calves even Jane Fonda could envy. And, they are indeed very much waterproof. But with the cold water on the outside of the boots, you're feet end up absorbing the cold temperature through the rubber—just not the water. The actual foot size I had no issues with, however, I had to order half a size up to make the heel bend and accommodate my wide calves. I knew this from trying them out at local boot shop. However, I will be keeping these and saving them for the ~10 weeks a year that I can use them. Those fall and spring sports games for the kids. The early morning yard sales, dewey outdoor auctions, fairs, and fishing derbies. Those 40 degree spring days when the snow begins to thaw and those walks to and from the mailbox on a muddy afternoon. And yes, after less than 30 days of ownership, the laminated heel is disintegrating, revealing a white (nylon) heel block. These are the best rain boots I ever bought, but the worst winter gear I've ever purchased.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Not as Nicely Made as the Riding Boot I I own several pairs of Sorels from the past 5 years.. I have the shale and tobacco riding boot I, so I thought that this riding boot II would be the same, just with a slightly different look.. but I don't think the II boot is made as nice, the foot rubber is much thinner and the leather leg part does not seem as high of quality leather as the I boot.. They are still a nice looking boots, but does not compare quality wise to the I one, which is disappointing when you buy a "Sorel" boot you should have no doubt it will be a high quality boot, but seems even Sorel is starting to cut corners in quality :( like so many other retailers are doing.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love these boots! These boots are my first, but won't be last, Sorel purchase. They are cute and comfortable. The first time wearing them I walked over 2 miles in them and they were very comfortable. They are cute and casual with jeans or leggings but could easily go with a casual skirt also. I love these boots. I am an 8.5-9. I purchased a 9 and they are just right. The calf is adjustable to fit and the buckles also add style!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Fashion meets Function Just received these boots for a gift. I had been eyeing them up since Fall. We live in the U.P. of MI, where the Winter can start early and end late, with lots of cold days. I really love these boots. I wear them to work, as I have a long commute and like practical, quality, stylish foot wear. I get lots of compliments on them from my co-workers. I typically wear a 91/2, but couldn't get that size, so my Hubby went with the 10. Great fit with the wool socks I wear in the Winter. My only down-side with the boot is they are somewhat difficult to get on and off because they don't zip. BUT this is getting better with more wear. I find myself going to these boots more and more. This year we bought quite a few items from Sorel for gifts for our family, as we love the quality, and they have been around for quite a while! I am already looking for my next pair of boots!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Quality, comfort and easy to wear I bought my first pair of these boots several seasons ago. I have since bought two more pairs for myself and one for my sister. These boots are fabulous for the ranch, out and about around town or hunting. I finally found a cute outdoor life boot! Also, I am a true 8.5. I do feel like I could easily go up to a 9, especially if i wanted to wear thick socks. Overall I love these boots!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Favorite winter boots! I love these boots, they are my second pair however as the first pair got a tear after 3 months of wear. I am happy with them and would recommend them to anyone looking for a nice sturdy winter commute boot. I am a size 8 normally but wear a 9 so just an FYI in regards to buying a pair.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Cozy, warm and stylish These boots are great. I haven’t used them in the snow yet but I have used them on super cold days and the high (almost to my knee, I’m on the short side) coverage is fantastic. I feel like my feet might get cold if I had to be outside for a LONG amount of time but there’s no lining so that’s expected. Being so tall and leather getting them on and off is a learning curve I haven’t mastered yet gracefully but I think once worn in they will be fine. I do wish the buckles on the back stayed out better. I’m constantly adjusting them and I think a metal finish might look more luxe but that’s a small critique.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great boots Love these boot so much I am thinking of getting them in a second color! They are really comfortable and offer good support, could easily wear them all day. They are warm without making my feet too hot and sweaty. They fit true to size. The only negative I found is that the lining is a little loose, so putting them on sometimes feels like there is something inside the boot. Overall great boots that I would absolutely purchase again.

I love these boots and am so glad I added them to my growing collection!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love this boots My new favorite boots! I took a chance and kept to my size rather then going up like the reviews were saying and I am so glad I did. Very easy to get on, even though I have a high arch. Love the color(red). I get compliments every time I wear them!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Beautiful Boots Love the boots! Look better in person. I wasn't sure what to decide regarding the size. I'm usually an 8. As to reviews ordered the 8.5, which is OK but I believe the 8 would have been enough. The quality looks very good. But I only wear them a few times. They are comfortable.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from An amazing attractive comfortable boot, but doesn’t last long I own I think at least 10 pair of these boots! I literally wear them every day. EVERY DAY! I receive so many compliments on them and they r very comfy. They fit true to size as well. The downfalls: They last maybe 6 months to a year before the rubber around the toe starts falling apart, the material around the heel begins stripping and peeling off and, the break down of the boot begins on the sole. But I do wear them every day all day, but still, for the price I pay for these, they shouldn’t be breaking down so quickly! If u don’t plan to wear these boots every day, I totally recommend them! If u do, SOREL, if u r listening...make these boots more substantial for every day use!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Cute and comfy These boots are cute and comfy and great for the Pacific Northwest weather. I kept going back and forth on what size to get and decided to get my normal size “8”. At first they were a little snug but after wearing them for a little while they have stretched out and formed to my foot. If you want to wear a chunky sock with these boots I recommend going up in size. I have several pairs of sorel boots and I’m never disappointed in them.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from They Leak These boots look great but they started leaking right after the one year warranty expired. I paid over $200 for a boot to last just over a year. My old Sorels lasted 25 years. I called customer service and they told me there was nothing they could do and they were sorry. Only buy these boots if you don't need to protect your feet from the elements.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Cool Boots! I ordered the Slimpack boot in Redwood. Color is very on trend & will go with just about anything. They did run a full size small. I'm always an 8.5. I tried a 9 as a lot of reviews noted they ran a half size small but my toes hit the front of the boot. There is room in the 9.5 for a thick sock. I think I'll get a lot of use out of these in snowy/slushy upstate NY weather.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Who knew rain boots could be so beautiful! I discovered the quality and style of Sorel for snow boots about 15 years ago and currently own 3 pairs of Sorel snow boots of different heights. I saw the Slimpack Riding Tall boot last year, but, didn't really like the colors. This year I checked them out online and found the Redwood option. They are truly beautiful and of course so practical for cool and wet weather. I love the heel and the redwood color is gorgeous! They are so pretty I can wear to work as well as outings and just walking the dog. Comfortable around my calves and easy strap adjustments to tighten as needed. Another wonderful boot from Sorel that is both immensely practical and beautiful. I know I'll wear them proudly for many years to come.
