How to Measure Your Foot

  • Place your feet flat on a piece of paper and mark your longest toe and the back of your foot. It's best to do this standing and wearing socks
  • Measure the length (cm) straight from your longest toe to the back of your foot using a ruler or measuring tape.
  • Use the chart to find your size.

Men's Caribou Thermoplus® Liner is rated 4.2 out of 5 by 100.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Even warmer than the originals First of all, I've been trying to buy the correct size inserts for my Sorel Bighorns for years. But even the wrong model inserts are out of stock in the right size. I bought my boots around 1984-5 and still wear them every winter, even though they're a little trashed at this point. The old inserts never fit right since I washed them about 10 years ago. They'd always come out when I took my boots off. The inserts I bought were a size 14 and my boots are a size 11. They fit in and are a little snug. But I think they even make the boots a little warmer. They also are a little tall for the Bighorns. But I don't care. I'll get another 10 years out of them. I do need to get them stitched up in a few spots, but the soles still have near original traction. It probably helps that I only wear them 20 times a season when there is some weather. I'm in Massachusetts, not Canada. One of the best purchases I've ever made - the boots and the inserts.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Wow!Great replacement for a bootliner I didn't know where to start searching after I foolishly washed my old bootliners. I goggle the type of boots I brought and wow Sorel rock my world with the liners they have to offer. So I chosed the MEN'S CARIBOU THERMOPLUS® LINER and they are so warm and comfortable I can wear them without socks .Although I know this isn't recommended.I slipped my barefeet inside my boots after putting these new liners in to go outside.I couldn't feel any cold and it is well below zero. They're well-made and I would recommend them over and over again Thanks

Rated 5 out of 5 by from So happy with these! I have a 30+ years old pair of Sorels and the liners finally gave way. I ordered these liners and love them! So much more comfortable than the old, old ones and warmer. Plus, the cuff at the top makes them way easier to put on. Sorels are the best! Wouldn't be without them!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Like new again These liners replaced original 30 year old liners. I didn’t realize how worn out my original liners were. These liners fit appropriately (size 7 liners fit size 7 boots). They went in a little snug but after wearing settled into place.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Inserts I have had these boots for over 15 years. This is the third set of inserts I have purchased for them, and every time they fit the same. And thanks for making such a quality boot.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Worked the way they are supposed to. They arrived faster then I expected them to, I took the old ones out and put the new ones in, and just like that I was back in business. What else could I ask for, really they are just boot liners.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Fits very old boot I inherited a very old set of boots still in very good shape. I had to call to get help with choosing the proper insert since the boots are no longer made. Using measurements from the original liners (which had been mouse eaten), the salesperson helped me with the proper liner and the proper size. The liners fit very snug in the boot. Sometimes they come out with my foot, but they do work! I am satisfied.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Nice liners, taller than old boots The liners are nice, definitely very warm, and like others have said, they run a bit small. My only complaint is that they are taller than my old liners and close to an inch of the grey felt shows above the top of the leather. My old liners' white fleece was flush with the boot tops.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Not Like They Used to Be My husband has had his pair of Sorel boots for 18 years but the liner felt was flattening and torn in one boot so he asked for replacements. Unfortunately, the replacement liners are no longer made at the quality of his originals. Now made in China and on a narrower shoe last, the liners don't fit his wide foot. I am returning the new liners and he'll either have to live with the old ones or toss his otherwise loyal Sorel boots.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from like the origional these liners are like my original liners from over 20 years ago. the fit is small but that might be why i bought a size 8 boot all those years ago when my foot is a size 7.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from caribou boots These boots were a present to me in December 1981 when I was in H.S. I was excited to open the package that day and I have looked forward to putting them on every time since then. I have used them a lot, every winter - for 33 years and they held up spectacularly! Snowmobiling, hiking through deep snow, streams up to the laces, shoveling, exploring etc. 32 years into it the seam at the base of the upper started to split. I chose to repair them vs toss them out. I am retiring them to light duty now and buying a new pair! Thank you mom and Dad for a great Christmas present that has lasted 33 years, literally! DB

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Liners size wrong Just recieved my new liners. There is an error in the manufacturing of these liners that makes them stick up out of the boot by about an inch and a half. The snow cuff is floating well above the boot and will not keep any snow out of the boot. Because the liner protrudes so far from the boot it also looks horrible.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from SO happy to be wearing my Sorels again! I bought these Caribou Sorels when I was a Junior in High School, in 1982. Over the years, a curious dog or two nibbled at the fur at the top of the lining, and years of avid wear wore the felt lining down to a thin slip of fabric. They sat in my closet, unused, for many years. We've moved them with us from house to house, but they were not worn. I ordered a pair of new liners in my size and VOILA! My old boots are alive again! I love the firm feel and confident traction I have, and really enjoy the warmth. It's been a particularly cold winter in Minnesota, and I have been tromping through snow and ice with no concern. And, they're as fashionable and attractive as they were when I was in High School. Thanks!! DAB

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Thermoplus liner I'm somewhat happy with the liners. I would have liked a size 9 but they were not available. Using a size 8+1/2, I was barely able to put them on at first, but once on they were comfortable. Then slip foot and liner into boot. Taking them off was very hard at first. Slip foot and liner out of boot and I needed help taking off the first few times. Then the fabric in the front top connecting both sides, kinda like a sewn in place tongue of a shoe ripped on both sides. I don't like this very much, but now I can just about get off myself. Ron P.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Could be better Have a pair of caribous that are 20 years old. Wore out the original white liners. At the time of ordering them they did not have white. No biggie. Got the black ones and just like some others had wrote... The liners pull out almost everytime i take of my boots. Liner feels thinner than the old used ones i was replacing. Liners are taller than my boot outter shell( possibly from shrinkage over the years?) BUT... If ya need new liners ya dont really have a choice nothing else out there.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from better the original really nice liner warmer then the one that came with the boot.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Nice fit The option of buying a new part for a product feels radical these days. The new liner from Sorel is a welcome way to extend my snow boots. My shell is stamped 11, but I bought an 11.5 liner. It fits in the shell perfectly. Other reviews have noted the snugness of the elastic in the upper of the new liner. This means the liner stays on your foot. I opted to cut the elastic vertically a few inches to ease in and out.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good Service I was very satisfied with the service I received when ordering the liners, The boots & liners I replaced are over 30 years old, &, we weren't sure the new liners were compatible.. they fit in my boots 'ok' except, with the fully enclosed fronts, (the old liners had just a one inch strip of elastic holding the front together), make them very hard to remove, they want to pull out of the boot, rather than off of my foot.. The quality is 'ok' in my opinion, but they aren't as heavy (thick) as the liners they replaced.. Overall I'm satisfied..

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Stick with Genuine Sorel Liners I have a pair of Caribou's purchased in the early 80's. Still had the original liners, you can imagine what they looked like. It was time for a change. But I could not find any Sorel liners in stock any where. It was the middle of December so I figured they were long gone by now. So I tried some off brand liners and they are not same. The fit and the quality of the material are not the same. I went right to the source, sorel.com and ordered up a pair of liners. The pricing is the same as what you would find locally and the shipping was quick. The fit is great and they seem to be alot warmer than I remember them being. And just in time too, its cold up here! Thanks again,

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Would have preferred the original design. The quality is good as expected. I'm disappointed in the design which doesn't suit my feet. The original Caribou liners were open in the front which allowed me to slip my feet in and out easily. The new design is closed at the front and makes them too tight to easily slip a socked foot in and out. The whole liner comes out of the boot and has to be reinserted every time I take the boots off. My only options are to cut the front of the liners down to the instep or return them. I'm keeping them only because my dog chewed up the old ones.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Replacement Liners for Sorel Caribou boots These are terrible! I have had my Sorel Caribou boots for over 20 years and they have kept my feet warm and comfortable throughout my Colorado Rocky Mountain winters all that time. But after 20+ years the liners wore out (holes in bottoms & toe area) so my days of working the Men's World Cup Downhill races on our ski mountain were quite painful. So, as soon as I got home I went online looking for liner replacements and these Thermopulus liners are all I could find. They come no where close to the comfort & warm protection of the originals. My boots are now difficult to get on & off due to the tight elastic running down the center AND most importantly, my feet get very cold within 15 minutes of being outside. My volunteer work on Beaver Creek ski mountain requires me to be on my feet in the village for at least 2 hours before I change into ski gear and get on the mountain. Now my ski boots are the welcome relief for foot warmth and comfort! I have had to put chemical foot warmers in the boots to be able to endure. I am disappointed what were my "Gold Standard" winter footwear is no longer capable of doing the job of protecting my feet as they did for the 20+ years prior.. I only wish that you would revert back to the original material and construction of the WHITE liners that came in my boots.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Getting in and out of the Boot Liner. The liner is very hard to get on, and very difficult to get off!!! Had to cut the front of the liner, to make them look like the old ones, which worked great. Added some Velcro at the top for the closer, good to go now. Sorel, I shouldn't have to do this!!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from A Very Old, Rare, and Fathful Sorel In 1985 I wrote Sorel and asked them if they had a heavy duty industrial boot. I am a tractor mechanic in the northwest. They replied with information and a picture of a boot called "Steel Pac." Sorel said these boots were made for Alaskan Pipeline workers in limited quantity's. I ordered a pair. These boots have a thick and stiff cleated sole. Double thick rubber last. Heavy chrome tan leather uppers. Wool / sherling liners. Heavy waxed laces, and best of all "Steel Toes." Thirty years later they are still going strong without a crack in the rubber or a broken lace. Totally water proof and heavy throughout. Well I finally needed new liners so I emailed Sorel. They recomended The 9mm Men's Caribou Thermoplus® Liner. Great fit, warmer then the originals, more comfortable, and more breathable. What a great upgrade for my 'Old Fathful' winter boots. Thank you Sorel...And here's to many more years of service from these fine old Sorels.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Old Boots became new again I have a pair of Sorel's that are 25 years old. I had duck taped the liners over the years to patch the holes until there was really nothing left of them. Ordered and new pair of Caribou liners and now my boots are like new again. Still got some tread on the bottom. Love my Sorel's!!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great! I bought these liners to fit a pair of 25 year old Timberland Pac boots. In turn, my old liners have an orthotic-like innersole in the 'felt' liner itself. I bought one liner-size larger, in my case Men's size 12 to 13. That was to take the innersole volume into account and everything is perfect. This is a nicely made, warm, comfortable and quality product. FWIW the height measurement appears to be taken from the INSIDE of the empty boot; boot arch to top lip. The wool snow band sits above that.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great value. It's a great value that you can actually replace the part that wears out. With the construction of the outer boot, as long as the inserts are replaceable, they should last a lifetime.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from They are just like the originals I've been meaning to replace the liners for a while. My late wife claimed the originals as booties before she died and I never found them. I wanted a pair just like the originals with the wool along the top.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Sorel Caribou Thermoplus Liner I expected high quality, because it is Sorel. I expected a fair price, because it is Sorel. I expected something a little more, because it is Sorel. The liner looked and felt like a high quality product. Delivery was on time. Once I put it in a pair of my grandfathers old Sorel's and nestled my foot in I knew it was Sorel!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from great product Thank you for getting my new boot liners (Caribou Thermo Plus) to me so quickly. When I decided to upgrade my 25-year old Caribous, I was not certain that the new liners would fit. I'm happy to say they fit perfectly and feel great. Additionally, they are well made and of good quality. Since winters here on Cape Cod are not as cold or long and snowy as they are in Vermont, I should get many more years of wear out of what has been my "go to" winter boot for the last 25+years.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Caibou Thermoplus Great Very pleased with the Men's Caribou Thermoplus Liner. They fit perfectly in the boots and saved the cost of buying new boots. My only concern is that they were not made in the USA or Canada.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from The inserts fit perfectly! My recent purchase for replacement inserts to my SOREL Caibou boots has been most satisfactory. I've had these boots for over twenty years and they look like new. The inserts did wear out with use (as expected) and the new ones continue to keep my feet warm in even the coldest weather. Thanks for the timely service. Father David
