How to Measure Your Foot

  • Place your feet flat on a piece of paper and mark your longest toe and the back of your foot. It's best to do this standing and wearing socks
  • Measure the length (cm) straight from your longest toe to the back of your foot using a ruler or measuring tape.
  • Use the chart to find your size.

Men’s 1964 Premium™ T CVS Boot is rated 4.4 out of 5 by 98.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Warm, comfortable and rugged I like these boots because they have a water resistant feature and come with the cold weather insert. They also came with an additional pair of red laces which look great. They are a bit heavy so don't expect a light duck boot feel. All in all, I really like the way these look and feel.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Working The Aspen Highlands I have heard a few bad reviews, such as people getting their feet wet and or being cold. If you are going to wear them in water they are going to eventually get wet, and if you stand around in -18 degrees your feet will get cold. But if you are Busting Bum on the Lifts, they are great, with a pair of Trax on the bottom I did not have any problems at all. These boots have been put to the test at 11,000+ft and have performed just as I thought they would. I must say that after Columbia took over the customer service is just crappy and, as a dealer I have noticed a huge difference in the Caribou's and Joan of Artic's not holding up. That just goes with being a Columbia customer, it is always hit or miss. The 1964 PREMIUM™ T CVS BOOT is a must for the real back country worker or snow shoe enthusiast.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Not warm at all! Beware of these boots: they are not warm at all. The sole is way too thin so the cold from the ground or concrete just permeates right through. And the Sorel return policy is garbage, meaning non-existent. Personally, I will never but from Sorel again and if I was ever forced to, I'd but from a third-party seller who may let you return or exchange the boots.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great fitting boot I recently received these boots and love them. They are warm and snug without feeling too bulky.
Date published: 2018-02-08
Rated 1 out of 5 by from Not even waterproof Besides being ugly and clunky, this shoes is not even waterproof. The only thing about this shoes is that it is high enough so that snow doesn't get in. But, water still comes in. Worst decision I've made.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Cold feet If your active in these you should be just fine, but my feet suffer greatly if I'm at a standstill for very long. I've spent time in Temps around -18 and I was really wishing I had something different. I couldn't imagine the -40 they are rated for. They are a quality boot, great for sledding with the family but their rating is off quite a bit in my opinion. Will buy something different for my colder activities.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from The 64's The 64 not only looks good it feels good for anybody that's lived in cold climates this boot is a 4 by 4... I love it, it hugs my feet and keeps them warm... If your looking for vintage style and warmth get The Classic 64.....

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Too narrow but..... Despite these boots being way too narrow for my husband, they are certainly well made, nice boots. I'll need to exchange or request a refund.....reluctantly.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Feet wet! Feet cold! Not at all what I expected. Feet wet! Feet cold!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Too wide, not warm, hard to walk in and slippery Really disappointed in these boots. They look great, if that's any consolation, but they are really really wide and my foot slips around like crazy. I've worn D width running shoes without any problems before, but these are more like double Ds. Despite having a removable liner they are not warm either. You need to wear really thick socks to keep warm. I really wanted to love these boots because they look really cool, but I'm sick of slipping like crazy and my feet being cold all the time.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great for Women also! After Sorel stopped making a similar style of the 1964 line for women, I decided to buy this pair. I usually wear a 9 in Women's so I bought a 7.5 in Men's to accommodate a thicker sock. They fit great! I'm a university student so I have to walk to class for about 10-20 minutes each way everyday in the Indiana winter. These boots hold up extremely well and are the only boots I've had in 3 years of school that keep my feet warm during even the coldest days. Would definitely buy again!

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Not warm I got these boots a little bit ago. I live in MN and am outdoors a lot. At first I was impressed by the quality of these boots and appearance. I wore them outside shoveling and around town and loved them. It wasn't until I put them to the test. I was outside in 20 degree f weather(rated to -40) and I was disappointed. Only about an hour later my feet were cold to the point of pain. Not sure if this is normal but judging from the other posts it seems to be. For this reason I won't wear them again.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from ok product for stomping around in snow I work outside year round in all conditions and figured these -40 rated boots would keep my feet warm all day. the coldest day last week was -5 air temp with windchill down to -15. My feet got cold 3 hours into the morning. How does Sorel give these boots a -40 rating? I ordered my boots one size bigger for thick socks.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Poor warmth The boot is awesome fitting, waterproof and what not. But the Sorel slogan that boots can be worn to -40 degree. Very doubtful. I work at a snow resort and am in snow a lot. My feet get so cold, I have to put on two pair of wool socks. It's not only these boots, a co worker has a differnt pair of Sorels and he has the same problem.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great boot, but a little hard to get on Very well made boot, however it is a bit difficult to get on. Also, it could probably use a few less eyelets to lace since it is a bit of a time-consuming process.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from born and raised in Quebec i know good quality originally a native Canadian...from Quebec, I know for a fact if you don't have these on your feet...stay home. my husband is a native of Houston,TX and doesn't know what it is to stand out in -20f and freeze your toes.he has relocated to Ohio..well I said we (SOREL BOOTS and me) would keep him warm...

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great boot. The fit is slightly big. My 9.5 sneaker is a 9 boot, however if you actually measure your foot, you shouldn't have an issue with size. I ordered a 9.5 but it's not big enough to warrant a return. Especially if I'm wearing a thicker sock. Love the boot otherwise.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from It may never snow again Being this prepared for snow and ice almost ensures that it will never snow again. Super warm boots. Dry and great grip on the ice. Best boots I've ever owned.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Work Boot I've had these for all of a month and a half but have worn them to work daily. They are great for wet and cold weather. I've even worn them around town because they look pretty great too. I am normally 9 1/2 and I had to pick up a size 8 in these so the sizing was a little off for me, but I typically just wear vans so maybe those aren't like other shoes.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Feeling Auspicious about these I am excited to wear these this winter. I have not had reason to yet but tried them on and am feeling very good about my feet being warm and dry this winter. The only thing I am not a huge fan of is how easily the liner comes out of the boot when you take your foot out but these are not boots to take on and off really quickly.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from He loves them I bought these for my boyfriend for Christmas. I already have the same style in the women's and love mine so I figured we could get him these. Since it was getting cold I decided to give them to him early since he doesn't have snow boots. He loves them! They fit well and the color is exactly like what is pictured (whale, blue). We are very excited to play in the snow with our Sorel's on.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Soild Choice I ordered these boots for my boyfriend in the grizzly bear brown. He wasn't too thrilled until they arrived. They fit true to size and look great! He was worried they'd look giant and awkward--not the case. The brown makes them very fashionable. Haven't had a chance to test them out in the elements but would imagine they'll live up to Sorel's reputation.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect Boots Ordered in Black (even like the yellow laces/alternate black laces are included), perfect fit, looks and feels great and can be worn with pants tucked in or out and look just fine worn inside workplace environments. The quality, fit, and finish justify the price. Am now looking forward to enjoying the winter weather. Thank you, Sorel!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best snow boots ever! Mens 1964 Premium T CVS Boot Haven't had a pair of Sorel boots since I was a kid. Even better than I remember. Keep your feet warm, dry, and looking good this winter! Love the brown canvas color as well. Construction quality is amazing. Even though these boots are not made in Canada anymore, Sorel boots have definitely maintained their quality in materials and construction for over 50 years. Can't say this for very many products these days. Nicely done.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from good quality boots Nice boots, the only thing that bothers me is that they look too big, its like having huge feet. Otherwise, good quality snow boots.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Baller Boots! So, having just received these in time for Colorado to warm up, I haven't had a chance to break them in outside the first wear around the block. They are well constructed and fit nice and snug with the inserts. They also have that throwback rustic look that got plenty of double-takes on my short walk. I was able to compare them to a buddy's Keens in terms of ice (Mine handled better, no slick!), toe construction (about equal), and rating (higher!). These are definitely a quality boot that will not only assist in getting around in winter weather, but will keep you looking good doing so!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Warm and comfortable for all-day wear I bought these boots before a trip where I would be standing around all day outdoors in freezing weather. They were great. I was warm, and my feet were comfortable even after 15 hours of wear..plus I looked good! Lastly...I bought this pair because they are made from all man-made materials...no animals!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Exemplary, Stylish and sophisticated winter boot for men! An excellent, comfortable, stylish boot for us men. Though I wish Sorel would offer a competitive design of boots as they offer woman this boots color selection adds a wonderful stylish, characteristic, masculin, look for a mens winter boot. I ordered the grey and surprised to find Sorel included red laces to replace the standard black. Thank you for a reliable, affordable and stylish boot.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great product Love these boots. Warm, dry. The only complaint is that they're really hard to get off, and the inner sock boot always comes off with them. Maybe that will change as they're broken in.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from A perfect animal friendly winter boot. Incredibly warm, stylish, and humane (no leather) makes this a perfect shoe. So far it has stood up to 2 polar vortexes.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great boots! I bought these boots after Christmas for my two sons, since they were jealous that I got them for all the girls for Christmas gifts. They are wonderful. Fit was true to size, taking into account the liner which will probably always be used. Both boys remarked that they looked really stylish and that they could wear their pant legs over the boot if they want. Obviously I'm very pleased with Sorels since I bought seven pairs this Christmas season!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Very warm stylish boots. This boots are rated for negative 40 degrees and I believe. I have worn them several times times on snowy days in Utah and my feet were toasty. The liner does a great job of wicking away sweat leaving your feet dry. I gave this boot 4/5 of stars because it is a little difficult to take on and off. I am normally a size 9.5 and I ordered the 9.5 and it fits great. Once you go Sorel youll never go back...

Rated 5 out of 5 by from BEST BOOTS EVER! I bought these for my boyfriend for Christmas and he loves them. He has never had a pair of shoes that keep his feet warm outside in the winter, so after reading reviews on these boots, I decided to give them a try. These boots will keep your feet warm for hours! When he comes inside, he has to take them off pretty quick because his feet get too toasty. They seem very well constructed and will probably hold up for many years to come. In addition to providing warmth, they look dang sexy on my man!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Walking on Water! Amazing boots! With rain following so much snow, sidewalks on my way home turned into swimming pools, people were jumping around and getting their feet/legs soaked, not me. These boots literally made me walk on water, my feet were dry AND warm. It actually feels like it repels water as you step on puddles. They're not cheap, but well worth the investment.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect. Awesome. All I need. Like I said above... Perfect. Awesome. All I need. This is my first pair of Sorels and they're absolutely the best. Easy to walk in. Totally waterproof. And really warm.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Versatile Boot This is a great stylish boot and a great alternative to the big and bulky caribou boot. I told my wife I wanted some boots for Christmas and she found these. I was also please to see that there is another liner I can purchase that has the fur at the top which will add another look to these boots when I decide to tuck in my pant legs. I am looking forward to many years of use from these boots.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Warm ducky feet ~ First, Sorel has the best customer service. I originally purchased boots that were oversized, and even several months after puchase they allowed me to return them and gave me 75% credit. These boots were slightly oversized, as such I ordered 1/2 size smaller for a snug fit. With only one pair of socks, they keep my feet warm enough through this winter. They're not too heavy, so I'm able to still sprint if I need to. The style and design are awesome, as they don't have that fur at the top like the caribou's. Since they're made from canvas, they narrow well around the ankle and I can fit my jeans over the rise of the boot for a flush look. Only problem is that the 'liners' are snug so it's necessary to pinch the heel while pulling out my feet, to prevent pulling the liners out as well. Other than that, I'm happy with my purchase!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from awesome boots I am so happy I bought these boots. They are extremely warm and comfortable. They are very well made. I don't feel a thing when outside in deep snow. I would highly recommend these to anyone looking for a solid winter boot that looks good.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love these boots! I haven't owned a pair of boots in about 20 years. I've always felt boots are too bulky. I figured it was about time to get some considering I live in Chicago and it's always freezing in the winter. My girlfriend has a pair of Sorel's and recommending I try on a pair. I found a pair I like and absolutely love them! They're super warm, very comfortable, and they look cool. I feel like climbing mountains when I'm wearing them :) Highly recommend.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent Boot This is a great boot, very warm and durable. I really like the canvas, it feels very well made. I purchased the Charcoal, Black ones with the red accent and they came with an extra set of laces besides the black laces. The extra set is red and they look awesome on the boot! As far as size, I do not wear them laced up all the way or tight and I find that the 9.5 is a little too loose but I thought the 9 was a little too tight. I typically ware a 9.5 or 10.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Amazing Boot I just got these for my boyfriend, 29, for Christmas. He put them on and loved them! He says they are the best thing he owns. I felt the boot myself, it is very good quality. I am a big fan of Sorel, Patagonia, all those brands as I am Canadian and spend a lot of time in the mountains boarding. The canvas is waterproof which is nice and the boot is medium weight. They don't look clunky at all, and he is used to wearing Toms. We live in Indiana and Chicago and these keep his feet warm. **One piece of advice, go down a half size. I believe this is common for Sorels but definitely for this pair my boyfriend normally wears a size 11 and we ordered the 10.5 and they are perfect!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very happy with purchase Bought these boots as a present for my husband. Purchased a size 10.5, a half size smaller than his actual size, based on other reviews of the boot being slightly larger. They fit him perfectly. The fleece lining does come out easily but it doesn't seem to bother him. He said his feet were very warm, dry and comfortable. He loves them. I told him that some people wrote reviews saying they have had these boots last for 20+ years. I hope, even with the change of company ownership, that this is still true. I plan to buy a pair myself.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from great boots i've only had these boots for a little while but i would like to say that they are so light weight, it's amazing. and they are perfectly warm

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Stylish but poor quality I ordered these boots for Christmas last year, but due to a shipping mishap did not receive them until mid-February. I wore them for the remainder of the winter (in Minnesota, that's a good 2 more months of snow) happily warm, stylish, and comfortable. As others have said, they run a 1/2 size large, even when factoring in the extra room one needs in a snow boot for warmth. My main concern is that after wearing them for one week this winter, the rubber is cracking around the toes. Our temperatures have been colder this week than last winter (-2 was the high yesterday), which I suspect is why the rubber is cracking. But since these are advertised as having been tested at -40 degrees, I'm pretty disappointed. The cracks are large enough that snow gets through. My bottom line is $140 should last more than 2.5 months.
