CONQUEST™ CARLY II is rated 3.9 out of 5 by 56.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from PERFECT petite boot I live in these boots all fall, winter and spring! And have done so for years now. The style is great with leggings and a long jacket. I get lots of compliments and looks of envy with them on. The fit is slightly small in length, so I ordered a half size up. I wear lightweight wool socks with them for temperature regulation - with them they’re not too hot, and not too cold. They accommodate my narrow heel and wide toes. And they are the perfect height for petites - I’m 5’2” and these don’t come up too high, they are a perfect, flattering height. I have several colors, and wear my old ones for gardening. They hold up nicely every season, but the heel can get scuffed up a bit if you’re tough on them. I would love for Sorel to keep making these forever! And maybe a shorter version again!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Runs small Love these boots, but they run a bit small. I am usually a 7 and had to exchange for a 7.5. Besides this, I just wish the shaft of the boot was plain and not looking like a rain boot. This would make the boot more fashionable. But overall, the boot is of great quality and comfortable.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from ideal WI boots VERY happy with these boots. I found others reviews helpful as these DO fit a bit smaller. I wear a 9 so I ordered a 10 and I have the perfect amount of wiggle / extra sock layer room. Wonderful height. Fantastic quality. Like the side straps for camping (knives, small pouches etc). Good town and country boot. Not a mountain climbing boot. Not a deep snow boot. Great spring amd fall walking boot.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Redwood conquest Carly II I love the redwood color! Can’t wait to wear these in fall and winter. I have athletic legs and was worried about size around calf but they fit and I’m excited!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Awesome boots I really like these boots. Easy to get on and off. So far they seem to be waterproof. They are unlined and not warm. I knew this prior to buying so it was fine with me. If it is cold out I just wear a thick pair of socks. They also fit a little better with thick socks. Definitely recommend.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Almost Perfect Out of all my boots, these are easily my favorite. Perfect temperature for so many seasons, I'm looking at you Spring & Fall! These are actually my second pair - the only issue that I have with them is that the heel tends to not hold up as well as I feel it should. I've only had these new pair for about two weeks and already the back of the left heel is coming undone. That is disappointing; however, if that was not a problem that I had in both of my pairs, they would be 5 stars.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from My second pair - as good as the first! I got my first pair of Conquest Carly boots 5 or 6 years ago and loved them! I wore them to/from work every day and, generally, everywhere about 6+ months out of the year. AND, if I had a dollar for every time someone complimented my boots, I'd have bought these boots 5x over. EVERYONE loves them! It's almost become a joke with my husband - he counts the number of times someone mentions my boots every time we go out. :) Besides looking great, the reason I got them was because they looked comfortable and up to the task of being all-year round rain boots. They exceeded every expectation -- they are, in fact, very comfortable (I even hiked 10 miles with them while in Ireland a few years ago) and really held up in the wet/rainy Seattle weather until a few months ago, when I got several cracks. So, I've transitioned my old pair to gardening boots and treated myself to my next pair, which I fully expect to last for another 5-6 years. Perhaps I'll just commit to a few more pairs to cover me for the next few decades (just in case Sorel decides to stop offering them)?! I cannot say enough good things about these boots. They are phenomenal! NOTE: I do recommend going up a 1/2 size. Other reviews mentioned this and I am glad that I went with a 1/2 size higher in my "round 2 boots" -- I find, especially in the winter, that I like to wear thicker socks and moving up the extra size gives me a little extra toe/foot room. I had an 8.5 last time (that's my normal size) but I am appreciating the space of the 9 this go-around.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great boots but run big. I fell in love with these boots online and finally found a store that carried them. I hate buying shoes without seeing them on first so I was quite pleased when I ran into them. I was even able to purchase them at a lower price than anything I had seen online. Now, the problem. I wore these for half the day yesterday and hey kept my feet toasty. Keep in mind, these are NOT winter boots with a rating. There stylish boots to wear in winter without looking like an Eskimo. The bad though is that once I put them on today with regular, thinner socks (not thick ones I was wearing yesterday) they were far too big and make a weird squeaking noise when I walked. I can’t return them to the store as it’s a local one but is also over an hour away. So the only option I really have is to buy maybe a half to full size smaller and hope they work. I love these boots though! They’re super cute!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Uncomfortable fit I was so excited to get these boot; and after reading previous reviews I knew get a size larger. Well, first off they’re very difficult to get on and off, and I mean difficult. Once my foot was in I found the seams could be felt on the top of my foot, actually leaving a mark across my foot. And found the same true around the back. And they are not warm, maybe if I was in 35+ weather they’d be ok, but I was in 8* and my feet froze! And when walking they don’t feel sure footed, which I was also hoping for. I’d call these pumped up XtraTuff, but, much more challenging to get on and off, on the plus side you could get a few yoga stretches in trying to manipulate them on and off, whole hopping around on one foot. Quality is nice but fit and function are not there.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Adorable boots but hard to get on and off These boots are so cute. They go great with a lot of outfits and definitely keep you warm and dry. I wore them in Colorado during a ski trip and were great looking. I did go up a 1/2 size based on reviews and they are way too big. I am going to have to return them for the size I usually wear. Although they are really cute and I love the details especially the lacing, it does make them really hard to put on and off so I find myself only wearing them when I know I won’t need to take them off soon. I have not had the issues yet with the rawhide laces others mentioned but could see them wearing away quickly.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love the look I’ve been wanting these boots for a couple of years now. My husband ordered them for me and I absolutely love them. They are perfect for our cold, snowy New Hampshire winters. They are very comfortable. I’m usually a size 8 but got an 8 1/2 and they fit great.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great boot for cool wet weather Love my Conquest Carly boot but wish it was just a bit warmer for the snowy days. I got a larger size, 7.5, than my regular 7 size so that I can wear thick socks with them and that helps with the colder weather and the snow. They have been perfectly waterproof and I love that I can slide them on and off. I tied a little know on the end of each lace so i don't have to tie them up completely every time. I really like the little heel and the traction is great. I feel solid on ice and snow while looking stylish.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Cute, comfy boot - 2-yr lifespan, <1-month laces I'm on my second pair... my first pair lasted 2 years (past the 1-yr warranty) before the rubber cracked (I had already replaced the laces over a year prior to this). I do restoration work for a watershed nonprofit, so I thought maybe I was just a little rough on them... got a new pair for Christmas, and less than 2 weeks later (after normal wear only a couple times), the laces have broken (they also shed EVERYWHERE). Contacted customer service with the first pair, and there is no way to buy matching replacement laces, so I've had to try to match them as best I can from Amazon (you'd think they'd offer them, as a mismatched set of laces detracts from their aesthetic)- at least the replacement laces lasted longer. Cute boots, very comfortable, lots of compliments, but terrible quality for the price. Won't buy again.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Cute but too small I ordered my normal size and had to cram my feet into them with normal socks on. I had to return and order the next size up. I'm frustrated I had to pay shipping 3 times.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Been eyeing these boots for a while! I was hesitant to purchase last year because there wasn't an all black (or it was always sold out, I don't know) But the day finally came... and I am very happy. These provide much more ankle mobility than the classic boots so I can wear all day. I get lots of compliments on them! Cute enough to wear to work, but functional enough to wear walking in the snow. Fit is true to size, but I would size up a 1/2 to accommodate warmer thicker socks.

Date published: 2017-12-13
Rated 3 out of 5 by from Not sure about the fit I absolutely loved these boots, that's why I ordered them! However, I was not a fan of how the fabric met the rubber on the top of the boot. The fabric bunched up and it felt weird on the top of my foot. I have a 9.5 in other Sorel boots and these felt a lot smaller in the foot/rubber area than the rest of the Sorel boots I have.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Boot looks amazing but is terrible quality! I loved these boots for one season. They looked amazing again ONLY for one season. After one season they literally started falling apart. The rubber from the top and bottom disconnected and cracked and they are no longer wearable or waterproof. And it was past the year long warranty but these boots are ridiculously expensive for how low quality and short-lived they are! I wish Sorel would either stand behind their products or actually improve the quality of these boots because it's obvious that this isn't a one time flaw in the pair that I received considering there are numerous reviews citing the exact same issue! I would not recommend anyone buy these boots unless you only want/need to wear them for a year and don't mind spending $225 on a pair of boots that only last for that short of a time period!

Rated 3 out of 5 by from LOVE these but... I absolutely love these boots. I get compliments on them often. They are great for fall/winter. I feel like they are made well- almost worth the price I paid for them. However, the laces in the 2016 design broke within a month of wearing them. It was a flimsy rawhide material that obviously does not work well with having to lace up shoes often. The 2015 design had normal black laces, my friend who has that year has not had any issues. Contacted customer service many times with no luck in replacing. So overall, disappointed with this product as the laces are a big part of this boot & I don't feel like Sorel stands behind fixing/replacing such easy problems for the price I paid. Will highly reconsider when buying their products in the future.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Expect better quality for a expensive product I loved these boots but after one season the rubber around the toe on both boots started to crack and made the boot no longer waterproof! By this point, the year warranty had passed and they wouldn't replace my boots! For a $225 boot I would expect better quality materials or stand behind their product with a better warranty! I tried to patch them since I didn't really have any other option but, I didn't work

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Adorable boots, but uncomfortable & some questionable quality I have been hawking these boots since the OG's came out a couple years ago. Finally pulled the trigger this year when the 2.0 version was released. I LOVE the way they look and have received numerous compliments on them. However, for that price point, I expected much more.... I waited a few months to leave a review to see how long it would take me to break them in. I'm now 4 months in (approximately 20 wears), and they still hurt my feet - especially after wearing them for long periods of time. My main issue is with the heel, where the rubber meets the leather. However it is connected there, it protrudes forward into the boots and rubs really bad on the back of your heels. I'm still having to wear mole skin on the back of both heels before wearing them - even if it'll just be for a few hours. I typically wear size 8 or 8.5, and decided to get 8.5 to be able to wear thick socks with them. I'm able to wear semi-thick wool socks, but extra thick socks seems to make the rubbing worse. If you do get these, and have a size range like I do, I recommend getting the larger or possibly going a half size up if you want to wear thick socks. These are not insulated, so during cold rain, thicker socks are necessary. Luckily, I was given a Sorel gift certificate which helped lessen the blow of these expensive boots. Otherwise, I would have likely returned them due to their comfortableness. Overall, these are strictly fashion boots.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Not as rugged as you would assume I purchase these boots 2 years ago and loved them. Much to my displeasure I noticed that the rubber on the toes have cracked and spit open! Guess they are no longer water proof! Very disappointed.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Worth Breaking In At first I thought I had bought them too small, but it just takes a couple weeks to break them in. These boots are great quality, and a winter necessity! If you want to wear thick socks with them, I would recommend going up a 1/2 size. I love these boots!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Love my new boots!! I absolutely love my new boots! I will however say the do run a little small. Wished I would have ordered 8 1/2 instead of 8 but I still love them. Super cute with leggings or skinny jeans. Love that they pull off and on! Great price!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from My Favorite Boot This boot is adorable and functional! It keeps my feet warm and dry in our freezing, snowy climate. Each time I wear them, someone tells me how cute my boots are and asks where I bought them. I'm so pleased with my purchase! They do run a bit small. I bought a whole size larger and they are perfect.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Good boots, bad laces I bought these for my wife for Xmas and she loves the boots, but the suede-ish laces began to look frayed almost immediately and one has now broken. This is after 2 months of wear. Seems to run a little small so size up 1/2 size from normal shoes.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from cute boot, bad fit I was so excited to receive these boots but unfortunately I had to return them. I ordered my normal size and the foot fit loose but probably with thick sox they would have fit. The real problem was the circumference around my leg. Just to small. To fit my calf, I had to loosen the laces half way around my calf. It just looked funny. also the boots are heavy and to clunky for me.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Overall OK, but have some flaws I just received my package tonight and cannot wait to try them on. But.... I have to return it after a solid wear. By solid I mean, I tried with no socks on, thin socks on and thick socks on. Firstly, I have to say. Please order at least 1/2 size up. I would it is still okay if I order my usual size, which is 6. But instead, I ordered 6.5, and it fits perfectly size-wide. However, secondly, there is some inside flaw at the arch, it hurts my left foot so bad even with the thick sock on. But right shoe stays all right. So I would say if you know you have a higher arch, skip these shoes. Thirdly, the style is great. And I can say I wear it in the cold winter because they are so warm.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Stylish & Comfortable - Order 1/2 Size Up! My first Sorel's were the Joan of Arctic and they are honestly the most comfortable winter boots I have ever worn! The style of Conquest Carly II Duck Boot is unique and I love it! I was a little worried before ordering by reading the comments of other buyers saying they were uncomfortable - that is not the case for me. These boots are extremely comfortable and I have been wearing them daily since I got them! With both pairs of my Sorel boots, I ordered a half a size up and the boots fit perfect. I do have a higher arch. High quality, worth the money!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from A Perfect Fit These boots fit true to size. I typically wear a size 81/2, I ordered an 81/2, with a thick sock, they are a perfect fit. I would not order a size up. They would be too big. Buy your size and you'll be happy.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect So happy to receive these boots in the mail! I read so many reviews and they really are mixed. First off, the sizing is definitely smaller. I have narrow long feet, usually wearing 7-7.5 based on how wide the boot is. These boots are definitely wider on the foot since they are duck boots, but if your feet are wide I would definitely recommend going at least 1/2 size up. I chose a 7.5 and they fit perfectly, but my feet do touch the front of the boot with thick socks. 8 would have given me ample room, but too much room if I was not wearing thick socks. Definitely depends if you like your boots roomy or not. The bottom rubber part of the boot has a light fleece lining, which is great because I was expecting just rubber. Although these boots are definitely warm, they are not winter boots, in my opinion. I live in upstate NY and I wore them in 10 degree weather, they were still warm but definitely won't keep my feet warm for long periods of time outside or in the snow. I would say they're perfect for casual strolling during chilly temps/ rainy days. I was going back and forth between the color, I almost chose the black/kettle but decided on the brown since the black seemed a little bit more military style. The brown color in person is slightly darker, which I am happy with. Great quality of leather and rubber. When I pulled them out of the box they did have some marks on them, probably from the handling. The heel of one boot seemed poorly glued on, it was not aligned perfectly with the bottom of the boot (slightly to the left), but they are glued on nonetheless and I can walk with them without a problem. These are definitely boots to show off, they are gorgeous. If you plan on using them in rough conditions note that they will show marks on the leather and that they will wear down (rubber might get scuffed, wooden heel might peel) . I like the tightness of the leg, they fit my thin calves, and there's even an option to widen/ tighten the legs if you'd like. They're easy to slip on, the inside of the leg is like silky neoprene. Overall, a great boot to show off, but not as durable as some of the other Sorel boots if that's what you're looking for. The only issue I see could be the craftsmanship, so just pay attention to the gluing and what could potentially fall apart if you use them long enough. That way, you can send them back and get a better pair if you need to. I'm super happy with my purchase!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great boot I just purchased this boot and it's the most comfortable gorgeous boot I've ever owned and I own a bunch of Sorels. I did size up from a 7 and got a 7.5 in these. I get compliments all the time. Don't see where some people have given this boot a poor rating. Very comfortable!!!!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Terrible Quality, not worth $225 to last one season. I work at a ski resort in Utah, for 9 years now and these are not my only or first pair of boots. I received lots of compliments when wearing these boots. After one season I cleaned them up and put them away, this is their second season and I just noticed that my boots are cracked, at instep where normal bend occurs when walking, as well as the material (light brown/tan) on heels is peeling off. I recently send them to SOREL warranty and they were returned to me with a note saying "its been over a year" so warranty does not apply, no fix, not to mention "thank you for ripping off some more of the material in the heels". I have wore these boots perhaps 10 times (pushing it) when walking around the resort or at the office, I am very disappointed, it is ridiculous and such a waste to spend this much money on such poor, low quality boot. Please beware!

Rated 3 out of 5 by from super cute boot but not for me I was really excited about these but I wound up having to return them. Based on the other reviews I ordered a half size up, which was definitely not necessary. (Half size too large is also not the end of the world, though, because I could have just worn extra socks.) The real kicker for me, though, is that I didn't find them particularly flattering to my calves. I'm torn because these are gorgeous boots and I kind of want to try the kettle/black in my size, but I mostly think that these boots just require thinner calves.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Bummed I coveted last years version of these shoes, but they sold out in my size before I had a chance to grab a pair. This year I was so stoked to purchase a pair, but when I tried them on the area where the rubber and leather connect over the mid of your foot was really tight and uncomfortable. I wore them around the house hoping that they would loosen up, but they didn't appear to budge. I usually wear an 8 or 8.5, but if I decide to reorder these it'll have to be a 9. They are such gorgeous boots. I hope others find them more comfortable than me.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from My new winter staple! Couldn't be happier with my purchase of these boots. I wanted something as equally stylish as durable to hold up through MI winters. Rated 3 out of 5 by from Love the look, craftsmanship may be lacking some I read that you should get a half size bigger and did but now they fit slightly to big. So, if you order them and don't wear huge socks under don't order a bigger size. Also, my feet feel cold when they get wet or have snow on them. They are supper cute on but are slightly uncomfortable.
