Great winter boots
They are great warm comfortable winter boots. I had some fit issues initially as I am normally a 9.5 I ordered another style boot and they were way too tight/narrow so I exchanged for these ones and went a size up and they were way way too big so I would say size consistency between Styles seems a little off but once you can find the right size they are great boots. I am working 10 hours a day outside this winter and they are making it tolerable:)

Love Sorel boots!

Dependable and Durable
This is my second pair of Caribou boots. For a warm, durable, comfortable boot, this is a staple for prolonged outdoor activity. It is not an athletic boot. I do not recommend snowshoeing or hiking in them. But for snowplay or outdoor chores, I don't think I'd wear anything else. I normally wear a 7-7.5, but opted for the 7.5 in this boot because I expected to wear thick socks. I had to return and order an 8. The width is actually fine, but the length seemed short. (It seems like all the boots are fitting smaller this year - I bought some as a gift for one of my daughters, and she had the same issue). I definitely recommend this boot, but do yourself a favor and order 1/2 size larger.

just what I needed
The boots are very warm and comfortable. I was worried about the fit, but I ordered my typical shoe size and they are just right with extra room for thick socks. They are definitely heavy and not ideal for mild cold, but are good for cold winter days with lots of snow.

These boots are absolutely gigantic. They not only run large in sizing, but are also just big and bulky. I ended up returning them due to sizing, but even if they had fit, I would not have kept them.

Love!!
These boots are amazing!! I have the Joan of Arctics and Conquest Carlys but I wanted a shorter style that could withstand Wisconsin winters and be worn to hockey games, and these are it! The quality is impeccable and they fit true to size. Not only are they incredibly warm, but they are stylish and sheek as well. I’ve already received multiple compliments. So bring on the snow!

Best Winter Boot
I bought my pair 25 years ago. I paid $110 then, which seemed like a lot but I needed a good winter boot. At the time they were sold with 2 pairs of felt bootie inserts. I only started to use the second inserts last winter! Best purchase I ever made!

Best Winter Boots!
These are the best boots I've owned! I took these boots to northern Minnesota to the Boundary Waters on a winter camping trip where temperatures reached -30 degrees and my feet were toasty warm even in the waist high snow! I also wore these walking around at school during the tundra that hit Minnesota in January and my feet stayed warm . These are a great investment!

Great boots for Upstate New York!
I practically live in Canada, and the winters are very cold, snowy, and last ~ 5-6months. I looked through the reviews for picking out the size that would best fit me. I run anywhere from a 7-8 in women's depending on the brand. I decided to go with the 8 and they have the room for me to wear a bulkier sock. I found that Sorel boots really are best for the winters up here, and recommend them to everyone.

Caribou still a Classic
I grew up on a ranch in Montana so reliable snow gear was a constant necessity from October to April. When I turned 13 my mom bought me a pair of Caribou's in a bizarre coming-of-age family tradition...I was freed from cheap plastic snowboots that let snow pack around your ankles or crack after a month of sledding on the weekends. I remember her making a big deal out of it and I wasn't all that excited as a teenager to get these clunky boots (Ever a planner, she bought a size 10 - I even now only wear size 8.5 - so I could always wear thick socks and grow into them) but I don't know that I've ever loved or used a pair of footwear as much as those Caribous. They got me through the cold winters of junior high, high school, and then became my go-to commute boots in college.
That brings us to present day. My trusty first pair (just as reliable as 20 years ago) lives on at my parents' house for my use when I visit in the winter months but I recently got a second pair to have with me (now in Seattle) that I plan on having for the rest of my life. I am pleased to report that they are the correct size (ordered an 8 as indicated by Sorel's sizing chart - fits with just enough room for some cozy socks) and this time in the black, to switch things up a bit. I use them every weekend for pre and post cross-country ski adventures and plan on using them for winter treks next season. These are not the sleekest profile boot, but that's not why I get or love them - they are the warmest, comfiest, and highest quality, functional boot I've ever had the pleasure of wearing.

Warmest boots ever!
I went dogsledding in -18* F weather in Ely, MN and was loaned a pair of these boots! My feet never once got cold and upon returning home I bought this same boot for my next excursion up North! I found the fit to be slightly (very slightly) wider but you want your feet to be comfortable in extreme weather and to allow room for thick wool socks! Love Love Love this boot!

Perfect cold weather and snow boot
I love these boots! I was looking for a mid-height boot for time outdoors (fishing, exercising dog, etc) and for running errands that would be warm yet not as tall nor heavy as the Joans (which I also love). Sometimes in MN one needs the height of the Joans, but most often for a quick outing a shorter, lighter boot will do. They are heavy (but not as much as the Joans); if you are looking for a light boot these are not for you. These boots are comfortable and keep my toes warm even during extended times below zero. Easy on/off as well. I did order a size up as I have a wide foot; my daughter has a normal width, same length foot and ordered shoe size - both fit us well

These are amazing! They look just like the picture and run true to size. They're great for walking on snow and ice. Prior to purchasing these, I struggled to keep my footing while walking my dog. These have been a major game changer. Not only am I able to maintain my balance, but these also keep my feet super warm and dry.

Too Large
I purchased these to have a boot to wear in the cold weather in Minnesota and for the Iowa snows. These boots fit large and made my size 8.5 feet look like a mens 11. They were very warm, but felt heavy and too large to walk properly in. I ended up exchanging them for a 1964 PAC 2 which are the warmth I was looking for along with the size.

Just perfect.
Disclaimer: I'm a size 8, and ordered an 8.5 -- which I regret, as the boots wound up being a tad too large for me, even with a double layer of wool socks.
HOWEVER: I was out in Anchorage for about a week volunteering for the Iditarod. and these boots were very comfortable. The fact that they were just a bit too large didn't impede function at all. I was outside traipsing around in snow 90% of the time, and not only did these boots keep my feet totally warm, but dry.

I am so glad I bought these boots!! They are beautifully styled and do the job they were designed to do. They are so warm and toasty I couldn't believe I was walking through snow! I got plenty of compliments too! I'm glad I listened to advice to get a half size smaller because that worked out well. They are very roomy! I'm normally a 7 1/2 but got a 7. Also I didn't find them too heavy at all. I can't say enough good things about these boots, they're just perfect. I got the black colourway.

Perfect snow boot
This is my third pair of Sorel snow boots in the last 40 years, so I can say they are durable. The Caribou is the style I've worn for the last 20 years. I just bought the newest version. The new, improved sole provides superior traction on ice and snow. I think it's important that customers know that this boot snugs up tight against your legs or pants so even if you're in snow that's deeper than these boots your feet stay warm and dry, no snow will fall in to your boots, so you do not need a taller boot.

Best Boots!
I bought this boot to replace a similar pair that were 12 years old which have packed out a bit. They are warm, waterproof and very comfortable. I use them at work as a ski school greeter for the Breckenridge Ski resort. They look very attractive with my down skirt and tights. These are the BEST boots ever! I will take my old pair to VT where I have a second residence.
I bought a half size larger so I could wear woolly socks with them.

Perfect Timing!
The women’s Caribou boots by Sorel came to my attention at just the perfect time! I live in Minnesota and this winter’s been a doozy for shoveling and snow blowing. It used to be that I would stay fairly warm...except for my feet. These boots changed that! They are so comfortable and solidly built. Though I am definitely ready for Spring, the women’s Caribou boots helped to make this winter much more enjoyable!

These boots have gone the distance this year! The coldest winter on record with wind chills -70, cold enough for the city to declare an emergency and close the city! My feet never got cold! Shoveling and snow blowing hours outside and toasty warm. Will always wear Sorels from now on!!!

Exceeded expectation
After sifting through countless reviews I decided to go with my normal size which was a 9. It fits but I think I could have Worn a 9.5 especially with ski socks or thicker socks; however I still have almost a 1/2” thumb width from the toe so I’m keeping them! I would Suggest though to size a 1/2” up if you will wear thicker socks. My ski socks are not overly thick.
I purchased The buff color and love the color! I did expect though from other reviews for them to be too clunky or look obnoxiously big; however they are the cutest snow boots I own now! I think they feel like I’m wearing tennis shoes not boots!I’m so happy I chose the buff color, because the buff color goes with anything, such as skinny jeans or worn with my ski gear to walk around in. I have Not had the opportunity to wear them in the snow but they are warm!

Best Snow Boot Ever!
These by far are the BEST snow boots I've ever had. Dry, warm, easy to take off and clean and great traction in the snow. My other pair were stolen at work (which were over 25 years old but looked like new) and I just had to get a new pair. Received just in time of our snow season and could not be happier. Love these boots. Never found another higher quality made boot that works this great.

Great Boot! Terrible customer service
5 star boots sold by a 1 star company :) It’s unfortunate when a company has a great product but doesn’t value their customers. Will definitely keep that in mind when it comes to investing in boots for the future. There are a lot of options when it comes to winter footwear and I personally find good customer service to be as important as the quality of the product. As long as you don’t need any assistance this is a great boot. Very warm and well made! If you’re looking for a company that values you as a consumer then I suggest purchasing elsewhere or purchasing their boots from a third party like Nordstrom (who has excellent customer service) or Amazon. Won’t make that mistake again! Thanks Sorel for ignoring me :)

These boots are awesome! SUPER warm and perfect for all types of winter weather! Fashion wise, I like there better than the Joan of Ark boots they work well with snow pants but also looks great with jeans and legging. They do run big, I did buy a size up and returned them as they were huge! I’m a true 7.5 and I still have room in them.

Love these boots!
How it took me so long to get proper winter boots for Chicago is beyond me, but I’m so glad I held out for these boots to come on sale! I was conflicted on sizing, but after trying on other Sorel’s in stores and reading MANY reviews, I opted to pay the extra shipping to return an item and order multiple sizes. I’m normally a size 6 and ordered that as well as a 5.5. Although the 5.5 size fit, it was hard to get on with my thicker wool socks. The 6 ended up being roomier, enough to the point where I could wear some thicker socks and/or a few pairs of socks. My feet were nice and cozy walking around the city a few days ago in these! I would definitely recommend but don’t discount getting your typical shoe size.

Super cute boots!
Just received my caribou boots in the shale color and I LOVE them! I could not be happier. They are adorable and stylish and seem like they'll be able to keep my feet dry and warm in the snow. They are extremely comfortable and feel really sturdy. I was worried about which size to order but after reading a few reviews I decided to order half a size smaller. I normally were a 9 but I ordered an 8.5 and they fit perfectly. Cannot wait to try these out in the snow!

Get a size smaller than you normally would
This boot runs big. I ordered a 9. I’m usually between a 8.5-9 anyway, so I thought it would be ok. It was at least 2 sizes too big. I ordered an 8 and it fits perfectly! Keeps your feet warm and dry. Best boot I have ever owned.

an ESSENTIAL winter boot
This has been my go to boot to wear especially for snowing morning walks to class. I never have to worry about my socks gettings wet or or any snow because these boots offer resistance against practically all thelements. I love the style as well and believe they’re very flattering on the legs and calves since they’re relatively sturdy boots. If where you live gets a lot of snow or you want a great boot to wear for skiing, hiking or any outdoor activities - this is absolutely the boot for you.

Super warm but strap broke after only a few wears
These boots are so warm, even with thin/regular socks they keep my feet toasty without sweating. They are a bit on the clunky side but not so heavy that they drag you down. My only complaint is the pair I bought, the loop/strap on the back that you're supposed to use to pull them on broke. It must not have been sewn on well because I had only worn them a handful of times before this happened. They were bought for me as a gift but customer service took care of me. They credited my boyfriend (who purchased these for me) and gave me a free return shipping label and now my boyfriend ordered me another pair. Hopefully no problems with these because I really love them. I just wish you could do a straight exchange not a full separate return and then rebuy, that's a bit annoying, but otherwise good boots and good service!

I just bought these boots at Christmas. This is my second pair of snow boots from Sorel and my fourth pair of boots I have purchased from them. I love this brand! My first pair of snow boots is over 25 years old and I can still wear them but was ready for a new pair. 3 years ago I decided to try another brand. Big mistake, after 3 years they split wide open so here I am going back to Sorel. These boots are solid, sturdy, warm and very waterproof. You can't go wrong with this brand.

Caribou boot is FANTASTIC!
This boot is everything Sorel says it is and more! I wore mine for the 1st time this morning walking my dog (1st time it has snowed since I ordered/received them). My feet were toasty and dry as a bone the entire walk. I intentionally walked in the snow on people's grass rather than the sidewalks so I could 1)really test their waterproof-ness and 2) not hit an icy spot on the sidewalk in the dark!
These Caribou boots are comfortable (they do feel like boots...if you want them to feel like house shoes, stay home in your house shoes! :) . They are easy to walk in, easy to put on and off, and have treads on them to keep you sure footed and safe. I got the Shale/Stone color and they are really cute, too! I would not hesitate to wear them anywhere!

Sorel has a wonderful reputation and I am here to attest that their reputation is well deserved.
I read the reviews and saw that most said they run a little big. I normally wear an 8 1/2 so I ordered an 8. They fit like a dream so, my opinion, order a half size smaller than your normal.

These are great!
I was a little worried after reading some reviews, but after they were delivered all my fears we're gone! They are light (weight-wise), cute and fit true to size. They are a little big with normal socks on, but just right with winter socks. They aren't "snowboarding boots" at all, maybe structured a little rigid, but not bulky or heavy at all. I'm heading to northern Nunavut in six weeks for work, so I'll have to update after then for functionality in severe/extreme cold (-40 and more).

Best Winter Boot
I had purchased a pair of these boots 5 years ago for walking around my Minnesota campus and they have been absolutely amazing. I would always wear a thicker sock as they ran a bit large: I'm typically a true 6 so that's what I ordered. After my boots experienced tragedy by being chewed on by my dog, I knew I had to re-order and went half a size down. I'm happy the say the quality is just as phenomenal, and they fit even better in the new size. Living in snowy, cold Minnesota, these are a must!

I love these boots. I ordered 1/2 size smaller than I usually take and they fit great. After the first tromp in the woods, the felts packed to fit my feet perfectly. My last sorels lasted 38 years before the soles wore down enough to lose traction on ice. I'm hoping these hold out as well.

For my wife
My amazing wife has been asking me to get her a pair of boots that could meets two criteria . One look cute and two be suitable for outdoor winter activities with our children. Exactly what I was looking for!
This was my first Sorel purchase, and I am so glad I finally decided to do it. These boots fit perfectly, they are waterproof and super easy to clean! They are super comfortable and sturdy - I can wear them outside on the farm all day and not have to worry about getting cold feet or any aches from standing all day.
They are snow boots, so they are pretty bulky but I knew this when I was buying them.

they’re HUGE.
They seem to be well built and warm but they’re HUGE. I ordered a half size smaller than normal but they’re still too big. They’re very bulky too. Even if they fit well they’d still be bulky and heavy.
