How to Measure Your Foot

  • Place your feet flat on a piece of paper and mark your longest toe and the back of your foot. It's best to do this standing and wearing socks
  • Measure the length (cm) straight from your longest toe to the back of your foot using a ruler or measuring tape.
  • Use the chart to find your size.

BE WISE; ORDER A HALF-SIZE UP! For most of my life, I've worn a Women's Size 9.5. For the past few years, I've almost exclusively worn Size 10 (for comfort & to accommodate changes in my feet). In this boot, I ended up returning the Size 10 & ordering a Size 10.5, going 1/2-Size up. I did this in order to not have my toes touching the end of the boot inside & to have room for thicker socks. Very nice boots, toasty warm, stylish; though, not quite as "grippy" as I would have liked. Also, they feel a bit stiff & a little clunky, but that may change as they break in. Overall, I am very satisfied with this boot & would highly recommend them; just save yourself the headache & extra expense of sending them back & ordering 1/2-Size Up. Winter boots, check! I looked around for winter boots for several months and I’m so glad I landed on these. They are functional in that they’re warm, well insulated, waterproof, they have good tread, and are also easy to get on and off. Another big one: they’re not heavy and clunky like regular Sorels. Living in NYC, style was also important to me. I can wear these in the daytime (the black ones go with everything) but they’re low profile enough that I can also get away with dressing them up a little at night. I was looking forward to testing them out on a 5-hour hike in the Pacific Northwest this winter, which ended up being pretty cold and non-stop pouring rain. Not only did they keep my feet superbly warm and were a pleasure to hike in, I started running through foot-deep mud puddles near the end AND they hands-down stood up to the challenge! I had dry, happy feet driving down the mountain. I don't usually write reviews, but because I’m thrilled with these boots I thought they deserved it. As far as quality, I gave these one less than perfect because the construction of the left boot is slightly different than the right. The seam between the rubber and leather tends to rub on the top of my foot and on that same boot the insulation around the toe between the upper and the footbed was separated slightly so my big toe sometimes touches the rubber. Both defects are internal and didn’t affect my comfort or the boot’s functionality, but I feel it’s important to mention for a well-rounded review. I wear a 7 and bought a 7. They still have a little room for thicker socks should I ever need them. December 27, 2014
Comfortable, Warm, and Waterproof I love these boots! Comfortable and stylish enough to wear all day from the city to the mountain and back. I like that they're rubber lowers for easier cleaning if out in mud. December 16, 2014
boots that don't embarrass me I was so sick of my old winter boots, particularly because they weren't stylish at all. I checked these out for about 2 weeks before finally deciding to buy them, and so far I am not disappointed. Yes, they are still winter boots, but they downplay that quality. They are super warm. I did go and buy a half size up because I know I'll want to wear thick socks- I wear a size 9 usually. Even without thick socks, the 9.5 works just fine and is comfortable to walk in. I didn't have to break them in at all. I haven't experienced the arctic temps here in Chicago yet, but I'm pretty confident these boots will be life savers. Only tiny complaint about the construction- I do love the front zipper, but the leather from the boot that's behind the zipper keeps getting stuck in the zipper. It's made it difficult to zip up easily sometimes. November 28, 2014
excellent and warm These boots are terrific. I took the advice of getting a half size bigger and worked perfectly. I have worn them for college football games where it's only been 20 degrees and for walking the dog in MN winters, they are phenomenal. Jeans and several layers of pants can fit well inside the boots. Highly recommend them! November 19, 2014
Great purchase OK, let me preface this by saying I have several pairs of snow boots already, but I live in Chicago, so who can't use more! These are probably tied with my Michelin-Man North Face boots for being the warmest pair I own, but these are much cuter. They do look like snow boots, but with a more fashiony bent, just not too froufrou like the Joan of Arctic (I don't do poufy "fur" around the legs). They are very true to size. I usually wear a 9 in most style shoes, from flats to boots. A 9 in these is perfect BUT I wear regular-thickness bamboo socks, which are very warm but not thick. If you intend to wear thicker winter socks, size up a half size. I tried on the 9.5 with my bamboo socks, and it wasn't as snug around my ankles and allowed too much flopping when walking. So thin socks and TTS it is for me. With thick socks, I would've needed the 9.5. As for warmth, these are VERY warm. My feet were getting very heated up pacing back and forth in the store trying them on. On cold days, they'd be comfy to wear inside--no need to change shoes at the movies or something. Much warmer than the Conquest Carly, which are more for fashion that true warmth (but just toasty with Dr. Scholl's thermal liners). Love the front zippers. So quick to pull on and off. I don't have to sit down to lace them up like other styles. Thanks to the zippers, they can quickly evaporate any perspiration better than unzippered or laced boots. As for the shafts, I'm over 5'9" and they go just past mid-calf, but in a flattering way. If you're shorter, they may hit farther up the calf. I will say that if you have larger-than-average calves, this may not be the style for you. I have 13" circumference calves, and these fit perfectly. Not tight or very snug, but there's no visible room between my leggings and the zipped boots. These are snow boots, but they're stylish enough that I wouldn't be embarrassed to wear them to dinner or even around the office. November 17, 2014
A Lovely Boot This boot is beautiful. I am normally a size 8 and ordered an 8.5. The front of my foot was pushing on the front of the shoe. I would order a full size up. I returned these, but the reason is I bought them is because I needed a truly warm, truly insulated snow boot. These are more of a fashion, medium boot that would be perfect in a wet, chilly place like Oregon or Washington (I live in Northern California where it hardly ever even rains). The leather is thick and gorgeous. If I didn't already have boots that served this purpose, I would have kept these (after ordering up to a size 9), but for the $190 price I decided to save my money. I finally went with the Joan of Arctic tall boot with the knit cuff. In that boot I am a 8.5. I expect this to fulfill my snow boot needs, based on everything I read about them online. A long search ended with these.... We raise our own meats and produce, I need durable, warm, farm boots. We also live in NH, our winters are very cold and snow can be very deep at times. I like these boots, but don't love them. The rubber at the toe is very thin, I wish it were thicker, and for the price, it should be a steel toe. I wear a size 9, ended up with a 9.5, but could wear a 10. Lining is very thick and very warm. A great boot for normal winter use. Depending on how long they last it would be a 3 or 4 star..... Great boot - Order up half to whole size Bought these as my new go-to winter boot. We have very cold snowy winters where I live and I'm excited to try these out. Beautiful boot, surprisingly light weight. Don't be fooled by the name and picture, they still do look like snow boots not "fashion" boots ... but that's what I am looking for. They are more feminine and stylish than most winter boots though. I'm a size 8 - 8.5 and I ordered the 9 - glad I did because they fit very well. If you want room for good socks and dont want your feet to be too squished, I would recommend ordering up a half size to whole size. I gave these a 4 because I haven't got to test the warmth or water resistance in snow/ cold temperatures yet. October 2, 2014
Warm Feet! These boots will no doubt keep my constantly, cold toes warm! My reason for 4 stars instead of 5 are 2 things: If you order true to size, you won't be able to wear thick socks with them. I got mine in the mail today and tore into the package and tried them on right away! I will definitely be able to wear normal socks, but not thick wool socks. There looks to be some extra room, or puffiness, or gathering around the ankles when I look down at my feet, but when I look in the mirror, they totally look fine. One thing I LOVE about these...they fit my calves! I always have a tough time finding boots that fit my legs, as they always seem to be wide or too big. These fit my legs so perfectly. I don't have toothpick legs....my calf circumference is 13" if that helps? I purchased the black ones and love the look. They will be my everyday, runaround in boot. If you like thick socks in the winter...go half a size up! Happy shopping! I am going to go scope out my next pair ;-) September 29, 2014
