Rated 3 out of 5 by from Runs small Ordered a whole size up, the lining runs very small. Love the look of the boot, but fits a bit strange. Based on reviews perhaps Sorel will re-construct the lining a bit more.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Had to return because they were too big A lot of reviews say that the boots fit small, so I ordered a half size up and they were way too big. I would recommend buying your true size. I had to send them back, and it stinks because I have to pay shipping both ways

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Confusing Sizing I normally wear 8 or 8.5. Due to other reviews I ordered a 9 in these because I like to have room in my boots for thick socks. With my medium winter socks, I have plenty of room for my toes to move around. I would have been better off with an 8.5 because they are a bit too loose while walking.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Not waterproof! My heels are soaked after walking in light rain/snow slush in these so-called waterproof boots. They are less water resistant than regular sneakers or UGG suede boots. The seams appear not to be properly sealed. What's the point?

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Average boot I own several Sorel boots as do family members. This pair is definitely not the level of quality that I expect from the brand- thin leather, unlined. As for sizing I'm a 6.5-7 for most shoes and a 7 in boots, including other Sorels. I ordered a 7 in these hoping they would work out but too tight in the toe box even with very thin socks. I'm wearing them around the house to see if they stretch a bit, per one reviewer's comments. If so they might be ok for my purposes which was running errands, getting back and forth to work during rain etc. Not for long distance walks- no arch support. Certainly not warm boots either. Not sure how a full size up would be because these seem to fit width wise and total length, just really tight in the toe area. Shame re the quality and consistency in sizes from Sorel....even on sale I'm not sure these are worth the price.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Order up! In most shoe brands I wear a 9. I ordered a 9.5 and they work but are a little tight. I wish I would have ordered a 10.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great Idea, needs a little better execution I bought this shoe because I was looking for a casual winter shoe. I went a half size up based on reviews and that was perfect sizing for me. As far as the feel around the ankle, definitely need to have something on your skin. The material or the combination of the way it hits the skin is less than pleasant the first few times wearing. I am still wearing them, I do feel like they're cool looking and they aren't bothersome to my ankle anymore (currently at about 5-6 uses).

Rated 5 out of 5 by from My 2nd pair I purchased a pair of the Out n About boots online. I read the reviews that they ran very small and ordered one size larger. When they came they were BIG, I'm a size 9 and ordered a size 10, but wanted to use them immediately so I kept them. I've had them for a year and pulled them out to wear during a rainy Women's March in January. They kept my feet very dry and were fine to wear all day and walk a few miles. Unfortunately my english bulldog loves leather and chewed them up later that day. I replaced them immediately, with a smaller size 9. This turned out to be slightly too small, The size 9 were fine with thin socks but not with a slightly thicker sock. I am exchanging for a size 9 1/2. I'm anxious to get my boots and start using them.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great boot I ordered a half size up, and they fit perfect. Nice and light weight. I live in Wyoming, so we are wearing boots most of the time, these are perfect for a large portion of the time. They are great for the slushy snow melt, and have a great no slip sole. If you are walking in a lot of deeper snow, not good for that because of height but also your foot will get cold, but not wet. I highly recommend these.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from inconsistant sizing I was disappointed to find that after sizing up 1 whole size, per the reviews that I read, these still did not fit. I normally wear a size 9 in all Sorel boots, and this style size 10 was so tight I could barely get my foot in them. I also had top pay $16 to send back for return shipping charge :(

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Expensive to Return I ordered these online. . very cute- ordered a half-size up since I read the reviews that they ran small--- They were STILL way to small---I would recommend you order 1 1/2 sizes larger than your normal---Big disappointment was that they did not come with a return shipping label- and although I live in Portland, OR (the home of Columbia) I had to pay $25 to return them to somewhere else in the country- Probably won't do Columbia/Sorel online again

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Cute Ordered a 1/2 size larger than usual based on other reviews. Very cute and durable.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Waterproof & very comfortable! As described, these boots are not made specifically for snow. They're more for heavy rain, so they are definitely waterproof. But they won't be too warm as usual snow-boots. For me personally, they're warm enough to walk around cold winters in nyc with rain or snow showers, comfortable & waterproof for sure. They do run a bit small but not a lot. Half size up was more than enough. And if you usually go half size up for rain or snow boots like I do, then you'll be fine with 1/2 size up for these shoes too.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from 1/2 Size Smaller & Poorly Constructed The construction of this particular quarry- leather "Out and About" boot is lacking & fit is poor. For one thing, the leather is stiff & puffs out near the back of the boot & looks foolish. It was uncomfortable being so stiff & I couldn't walk around with ease, even in the house, so I had to return them. The color is also light & even if they did fit, you would have a hard time keeping them clean. I have other "Out and About" boots of varying colors and all are excellent and comfortable. I was disappointed with this boot. Maybe the faulty construction material was the reason it was on sale. That's just my opinion. I do love/own several Sorel boots.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Essential Late Winter/Spring Boot I've fallen in love with these boots! I ordered a half-size in from my normal size and they fit perfectly. They are extremely comfortable and look stylish. I purchased these originally as a late Winter/Spring boot to walk my dog in, but I'm finding myself reaching for these on the daily!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Can't Stop Wearing Them They are perfect if there is just a little snow out or if it's wet. They are actually very comfortable. I am a size 9 in all of my shoes however I purchased a 9.5 because the reviews said the boot fits small. I probably could've gone with a size 9 and been okay. They may seem like they fit small because the toe part of the boot is slim (which I like because these boots don't make your feet look gigantic).

Rated 5 out of 5 by from These are super cute I bought these because I have really tall Sorel's, which bunch up my suit pants when I walk to and from my car to work. For a lighter, and still waterproof shoe, I purchased these. They were stiff when I first bought them, and I thought about returning them, until I realized they were perfect for what I was looking for: they are lightweight, waterproof, and comfortable. They are actually cute and fit perfectly without messing with the laces. I tie them loosely enough so I can get my foot in and out of them without retying. And once I decided to wear them that way, I was so excited about them. Now they are my go-to rain boot. They look great with leggings and jeans as well. I'm not sure why people are having problems with the sizing, but they are true to size for me, and once I broke them in with a couple of outings, they feel great.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great for rainy weather Living in Portland, OR, these boots are perfect for the rainy season. They are aren't clunky and are comfortable for running errands and walks to the park. I would add an insole to add more cushion. The leather is a stiff at first, but they do soften up after a few after a few days of wearing them. They do run small. I normally wear a 5.5 in other Sorel boots (the Major Low Botties and Caribou). With these boots, I ordered a size 6. I have only had them a few weeks, so I can't vouch for how the soles will manage for a longer period of time. Happy with these boots so far.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Size When I originally bought this product it stated that runs big, order one size up and so I did. This is not true. I am normally a size 9 so I ordered a 10 and once they came in the 10 was too big, I therefore returned the boots. I love the look but the size is true to size, order what you normally would.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Stylish rain boot Love, love, love my bootie. Does run about a 1/2 to a full size small so do order up. I usually wear a 9 and ordered a 9.5,which fits perfectly. Can't stop dwelling on how cute they are and delivery was fast too. Would definitely recommend.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Cheaply made The black out and about duck boot I purchased for my daughter for Christmas already the loop on the back of the shoe ripped the second time she went to wear them. I also had purchased this same boot for my other daughter which now has a tear in the seam by the heal which allows water to get in and soaks her foot when she wears them. Overall not happy with this product and is poorly made

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Questionable quality, inconsistency in sizes For reference I wear a size 7.5 normally, but bought these in a size 8. they fit like a 8.5 though but I was okay with that because I was wearing them during the winter and wanted to be able to wear multiple socks with it. I bought these in black and they are very cute on and perfect for a rainy day without freezing temperatures because of lack of insulation. The second day of wearing this the shoe lace loop ripped as I was trying to tighten it. I returned it to the store but they didn't have another size 8 so I ordered it from online store. When they arrived they fit like a size 7, basically didn't fit my feet not to mention the soles of the shoes was attached unevenly so the shoe looked odd, like a kid had assembled it together. These shoes are cute but Sorel should work on their sizing. In one other style of their shoes I wear a 7, in others I wear an 8. Keep it consistent because then people can order online and know what to expect even if they have to order larger sizes rather than having to order 3 different sizes to find the one that fit because each time is a different size and fit.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Hard to judge size I was new to Sorel when I bought these. Based on reviews I bought up and I bought down as I was unsure of sizing. I ordered a 7 and 8. I normally wear a 7 shoe. Both pair were small. The 7 I could get up but it was very tight. The 8 still was tight. I did keep them. I have since bought 5 pair of different Sorel from Premium CVS 1964 to Caribou. I love the quality. I have treated my Out N About with Mink Oil. It has darkened the leather but has helped soften it also. I would recommend this boot. The hardest part is sizing.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from lightweight, good quality I read several review that suggested buying a larger size because these run small. I usually get an 8.5, so I bought size 9. They are a loose on me, unless I put on a really thick pair of socks, which I don't usually wear. My suggestion is to try on a pair at a store, if possible. These are lightweight, comfortable and good quality. And I do love these little boots!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great boot I normally wear a 6.5 in almost all shoes. For this particular shoe, I ordered a size 7 based on all the reviews I read. I even called customer service. When I got the shoes, I was super excited and tried them on immediately. I was actually quite surprised and slightly disappointed that even with a 7, my toes touched the toe box. I was skeptical about keeping them at first, but I stuck with it and I'm glad I did. After wearing them for a few hours (with regular ankle socks) one rainy day (they didn't get too wet) the shoes have already stretched out some and is VERY comfortable to wear. I'm hoping I can wear thicker socks when the weather gets chilly/cold again. Some reviewers mentioned a bump and feeling the seem in the shoe, I had none of those issues. While I got lucky and the 7 did fit, I would highly suggest trying them in store if possible. I can see why some reviewers, who share the same size as me, went up to a 7.5
