Rated 5 out of 5 by Super cute and versatile The shoe does run a 1/2 size small so order accordingly. I love how comfy they are. I bought them for trip knowing I'd need a rain boot, though they're much more than that. November 22, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by Order a larger size I got these in a 7.5, I am normally a 6.5. I read the reviews to get a size larger cause the shoe runs small. The 7.5 was still too tight & I ended up with an 8, love this boot. Wore them in the snow with a thicker sock & feet were dry & toasty warm. November 22, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by My babe y Boots I love My Boots but the only thing is the size running small so usually I'm 8 and bought 8 1/2 so for my next purchase I'm going to buy size 9 . But the rest is amazing thanks for made my trip in big bear comfortable and cool. November 11, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by Love these! I got my new boots yesterday, and they are perfect! As other reviewers have stated, these do run a FULL size small. I usually wear a size 9, and the 10 fits perfectly. I have somewhat wide feet, and they are a little snug around the widest part of my foot, but not enough to be bothersome. The toe box is nice and roomy, and they are plenty warm. I can't wait for it to rain so I can wear them! November 10, 2015
Rated 3 out of 5 by out 'n about until you can't walk made this account to write this review. THE MOST UNCOMFORTABLE SHOE I HAVE EVER WORN - even more so than heels! Directs all your weight to the ball of your foot, I think it is due to a lack of arch support, but the end of the day I was hobbling around my feet hurt so bad, the next day the bottoms of my feet felt bruised! SO UNCOMFORTABLE, the only redeeming aspect is that they are cute. Will not purchase Sorel again. November 10, 2015
Rated 4 out of 5 by Cute but Awkward Fit I ordered these in the madder brown. I love the overall look of the shoe (mostly). Like all the other reviews state, go up a FULL SIZE. NOT A HALF SIZE. They run very small. The other reason I gave the shoe 4 stars and not 5 is because the tongue/lace part of the shoe is very bulky and loose. The toe part looks slim, while the tongue part looks wide and bulky. I'm keeping these because I like them regardless, and they are good in the rain. November 10, 2015
Rated 4 out of 5 by Really small I read the reviews before purchasing. All my prior Sorel boots have been size 5. I usually wear a size 4.5 to 5 in all my shoes. This time, I had to go all the way up to a size 6 and I'm not certain if I'm going to be able to wear anything but thin socks with them. They are wearing well and they are not heavy. The stitching is good and the lining inside is attached well. November 8, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great Winter/Rain Boots - *Runs Small* I really like these Sorel boots. I read a lot of the reviews before ordering and heeded everyone's advice to order up a size. I wear a women's size 10 and I ordered an 11. The fit is great, so I would definitely order up a half or full size depending on your normal size. They do great in the rain and snow. If you're looking for a stylish, casual boot for the winter/fall that will look good with dresses, skirts, jeans, leggins etc, these are your boots! November 8, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by Fits great/ very comfortable I purchased a half size up and they fit perfectly! I wore them the whole day right after they arrived they kept my feet dry in the rain and are very comfortable! I got the sage and black, super cute very happy with my purchase November 8, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by Size Up When I first received these shoes and tried them on they felt a little tight and it was unusual to get used to walking in the show bur after I wore them once I really loved them. They are great if you walk to work or class when its chilly outside. Really reat shoes I recommend them but size up. I typically wear a 7 and bought an 8. November 8, 2015
Rated 4 out of 5 by Out N About Ouch! I'm keeping these boots...Because they're so darn cute! I really should have listened to the reviews more.Everything the reviews said were right on the money.I got a half size bigger than I normally wear.I should have gotten a full size larger. As the reviews had stated,"The liner seems to be short, making your toes feel jammed. Boots are a bit uncomfortable.I guess I'm going to go with style over comfort this time! November 7, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by Size Up! I wear an 8.5 in 90% of shoes. I occasionally will size up to a 9 to get some width in dress shoes but I had to size up to a 9.5 in these! And that wasn't even for width! That being said- I love them. Winter hasn't hit hard yet but I look forward to getting lots of wear out of these. They are comfy and will be perfect for the upcoming NW winter. November 7, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by Amazing Fall/Winter Bootie This is the perfect boot to throw on fast in wet weather- They are also cute enough to run to the mall in and not worry about ruining a nice pair of shoes! November 6, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by Love I absolutely loved these shoes!! I had been looking at them for almost two months before finally purchasing them!! However, they were stolen last week from a girl who is friends with my roommate. She has posted pictures wearing them but refuses to admit where she got them. Now I no longer have literally one of my favorite pairs of shoes!! They were awesome though!! November 6, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by Love mine! They fit well and keep my feet warm and dry. October 31, 2015
Rated 4 out of 5 by Love these shoes I really love how unique and cute these boots are. However, I'm normally a 5.5 and I had to get a 7 in these, so make sure you go up a size or 2. I got really bad blisters on my feet after first few times wearing, so also make sure you wear thick socks! October 29, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by Worth it Alright hopefully I can help clear up this sizing issue. So I went to a retailer to try to find a pair to try on. I'm either an 8 or a 7.5 in most shoes, however I own the Joan of arctic boot in a size 7. I tried a 7.5 on in the store and it was incredibly small. It's odd, it fit fine length wise but was far too narrow, I barely was able to get my foot into the shoe. So, I took the advice and ordered a full size up (8.5). First, let me tell you, this is the cutest shoe I have ever owned. Second, the fit is far more comfortable. My only complaint is for some reason only in the right shoe there is a small bump on the inside of the shoe that is pushing against my foot. However, the foot bed is extremely comfortable, it's very well made, and I find them to be pretty warm :). I am going to keep them and hope I can adjust to the small bump in the right shoe, these are far to amazing to return and I'm glad I decided to order a full size up. October 28, 2015
Rated 3 out of 5 by Cute boot, but fits very small I usually order a size 7 in Sorels (Joan of Arctic for example) and I saw that the reviews for this boot say it runs small so I ordered a 7.5. The 7.5 is still too small! It fits ok without socks but what's the point in wearing Sorels without socks? The shape is a bit boat-shaped as well, the toe part angles up making it feel tighter. I would recommend sizing one full size up... I wish I had ordered an 8! October 28, 2015
Rated 2 out of 5 by Yet Another "Too Small" I have various Sorel boots - all size 7.5. After reading through the reviews and the details under the shoe itself that says "RUNS SMALL, order a WHOLE size up", that is exactly what I did. I ordered an 8.5, tried them on, and immediately took them off. Still too small and fit awkward in the heel and side as well. The smaller width was nice because of my thin feet but overall just didn't fit me right. October 27, 2015
Rated 4 out of 5 by A Bit Expensive These rain boots are a bit expensive, but they're so cute! It goes with everything and is extremely fashionable. As for how comfortable it is, initially I had the same problem as another reviewer with the sole of the shoe. Mine came in the mail wrinkled and curved up for the right foot. I had to wear it around the house for a few hours to get it to start feeling more comfortable. The initial wear is not the best, but after if you can get over that hump it is extremely comfortable. More comfortable than my Birkenstocks! Do order up. Typically, I am a size 6.5 in shoes, 7 in heels. I ordered these in 7.5 and they were perfect. October 26, 2015
Rated 4 out of 5 by Great rain boots These boots run a tad small. I got a 8 and always wear a 7.5 in other shoes and the 8 fits perfectly. A 7.5 would have been too small. They are definitely water proof, the kids tested them puddle jumping and the only thing that got soaked were my pants :) They are a bit stiff on the uppers but that's what you get with a waterproof leather. They are all day comfortable to wear and kept my toes warm. Expensive but worth it...and they are stylish enough to wear out and about/school/work/pumpkin patch...whatever! October 21, 2015
Rated 3 out of 5 by Too small I love sorel boots and when I was looking for a short rain boot to slip on quickly to run outside I swore this would be the best pair. I ordered a size up and it still was a little tight. Also unless you wear socks that are higher than the rim they are pretty rough and uncomfortable on the ankles. They are cute however and go with a lot of my wardrobe. I considered returning them but since I bought them online it wasn't worth it to spend $20 to return something to me and there are no stores near me. Also the sole inside was folded at the toe and it took me about a week to flatten it! October 18, 2015
Rated 4 out of 5 by Runs Small I wear a size 9 in all shoes and I ordered a 9.5 after reading the other reviews, however I probably could've gotten a 10. The 9.5 worked because I'm not wearing extremely thick socks. If you're planning on wearing really thick socks I would recommend going a full size up from what you normally wear. Disregard what you usually wear in sorel brand boots, these fit way different for some reason. They're really comfortable and cute! Recommend! October 16, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by runs small I debated buying this product for a few weeks but decided to do it because I knew it would last a long time. I read some reviews and saw they ran a bit small. I usually wear an 8 and bought a 9. I think they will work fine but a 9.5 would likely be better - so SIZE UP. other than that, they seem like great quality and I can't wait to wear them out! October 10, 2015
Rated 3 out of 5 by Very strange fit experience Love the look. Normally I wear 9.5 or 10. Ordered a 10.5 and a 10 after reading reviews to compare. Tried on the 10.5's first. They fit in length however one boot seemed to have a bulge on the left side that looked odd and was impossible to change with tightening the laces, as if there was a flaw in the making or excess material. A piece of the rubber was also peeled off where the sole meets the leather. Was disappointed because based on the fit of the 10.5 I was sure the 10 would be too small. Tried on the 10 and it was EXACTLY the same size without the bulge. Crazy. Both feel a little snug around the back top of the shoe and I'm afraid I will have a blister until they get broke in. Also, wish there was more padding in the sole. I'm going to try on with an insert today but I'm afraid it will make The fit too snug. I'm a sucker for the look so I will probably keep the 10's if f the insert doesn't compromise the fit. Just wish they were true to the sizing they represent so I could know Whether a 10.5 would fit better in the heel. Strange strange strange!!!!may try out LLBean's even if the style is not as cute because I know they will be stellar in comfort and fit. October 10, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by Read the reviews I should have read the reviews more before purchasing my boots. Many people said that they run small. I typically wear a 6.5 in regular shoes, 7 in running shoes and thought that a 6.5 would work for me. When they came in they were too small so I had to return them. Thankfully a store near me had them in stock so I was able to try them on before buying. I ended up getting them in a size 7 and they fit awesome! Now I just need it to rain so I can sport my cute new rain booties! September 28, 2015
Rated 2 out of 5 by Weirdest fit ever I wear an 11 typically, usually a 10.5 in Sorels. The look of these boots is perfect, but given the reviews I wanted to try them on in person before ordering. I found them in a store today and tried an 11. It was the weirdest fit in a shoe I have ever tried on. It was loose in the heel, weirdly tight around the arch and midfoot, and short in the toes. And it seems like the seam or glue or something in the toe is wrong or messed up and it rubs in an awkward way. The sales associate told me that every single woman who had tried them on had said the same thing (which is why they still had an 11 in stock... usually they get sold quickly.) I didn't find that they ran wide like other reviewers said. On the contrary, they were tight in places that no shoe has ever been tight for me, and I don't have a wide foot. I didn't end up buying the boots, obviously. They're a good concept but judging by my experience and these other reviews, they need work in the execution. September 27, 2015
Rated 3 out of 5 by Love, but too small These feel really comfortable, but I'd say they may be a size too small. In fashion shoes I am usually a 5.5 or 6, I feel I could use a 6.5 or even a 7 in these. Otherwise they are really cute and can tell they would be comfy. September 21, 2015
Rated 4 out of 5 by Something causal I have sorel snow boots I love they are super comfortable. I wanted something for fall found these at local store. I would diffidently recommend trying then on in a store vs buying online. I normally wear women's size 7. My snow boots are a 7.5. I tried these on a 7.5 and my toe rubbed the end of the shoe. So I went to an 8 with a smartwool sock and they feel great. Looking forward to fall weather so I can wear them! September 19, 2015
Rated 3 out of 5 by There is no right answer on the fit... After seeing all the back and forth online about the fit of these boots, I decided to go into a retailer and try them on before making the purchase. Obviously it's not as convenient as having them show up on the doorstep, but if you can make it to a store, I would HIGHLY recommend doing it. I normally wear a 7.5 or 8. I tried on the 8 and it felt a bit wide. Just for kicks, I decided to try it against the 7.5. When I put on the 7.5 it felt almost exactly the same as the 8- and yes, I double checked the size multiple times. The sales associate brought out a 2nd pair of 7.5 boots and they were notably more snug fitting. Two pairs of 7.5 boots fit astonishingly different. I went snug (but not tight & with medium thickness socks on), assuming they may stretch a tad, and that was a mistake. After a walk through the neighborhood, the heels were rubbing so terribly, that it's not even possible to wear them in. I plan to go back for the 8s and give them one last shot. They're adorable, and great quality. I'd eyed them for weeks, before the weather change signified that it was time to pull the trigger. I really really do want these to work out, but again need to suggest that you try them on before purchasing if at all possible. Or be prepared to approach the online purchasing patiently. I'm determined to find the right pair, but am still genuinely shocked by the variation in fit between pairs that are the same size. September 15, 2015
Rated 4 out of 5 by Cute boots, hope this helps I was really nervous about ordering these after hearing all of the conflicting reviews, but I'm so glad I took the risk. As far as sizing goes, I consistently wear a 7.5 in most shoes. However, in Sorel's I usually wear a 7, probably because I have a semi-narrow foot with a regular/slightly high arch. I knew I wanted to be able to wear this either with a thin to medium-thick sock and I don't plan on wearing these in the snow as that's not really what they are meant for. Eventually, after using the measurement guideline and having it tell me I should order a 6.5 I was even more confused about what to order. I eventually just decided to wing it and order an 8, a whole size up from what I normally wear in this brand and they fit just fine. They do run a bit wide and are slightly snug in length, but I found that when I walk in them without socks they slip in the heel slightly (not enough to bother me), but when I wear a sock they don't slip at all. Overall I am very happy with the way that they fit and they are very comfortable. If I was going to wear something that was more like the thickness of a heavy ski sock, or i wanted to wear more than one pair of socks with these I would definitely have needed to go up to an 8.5. Hope this review helps anyone else thinking about ordering these boots! Just for reference I'll list the other Sorel's I have and their sizes for comparison to this boot. Joan of Arctic- 7 Conquest Carly- 7 Toronto Lace Boot- 7.5 (fit is a little snug) Joan of Arctic Wedge Ankle- 7 August 25, 2015
Rated 4 out of 5 by Cute Boots, Odd Fit Hopefully I can shed some light on the fit issue. These boots run slightly wide and about a half size short. I think that is where the mixed reviews come from. I am almost always an 8.5. The size 9 fit the best. I have a M to W foot. My foot is narrower than a standard W width, but wider than a M width and these fit so comfortably. I think people with a normal to narrow foot take that as running "large". The problem is they also run short, so if your foot is on the M to W side I would order a half size up, especially if you want to wear thick socks with them, or your toes will rub. The back of the shoe also has a loose fit, this doesn't change much by ordering a size down. If you don't like a looser fitting boot or have a smaller heel, which I do, you may want to pass. This does not bother me. I took a star off for the fit. I was lucky enough to try these on in store and then order my size in the color I wanted, but I don't envy anyone trying to make that decision online. I do think the quality is great, especially compared to other brands and the details are very stylish. August 19, 2015
Rated 4 out of 5 by Runs SMALL! After reading some reviews that the boot runs small, I ordered a 5.5 because I normally wear closer to a 5. The half size wasn't nearly enough, should've gone up a full size. I could get my foot in and tried them out in wet grass for a couple hours hoping they would stretch. In terms of waterproof quality, they performed great and my feet stayed dry. But my toes were so unbelievably cramped and the shoe didn't relax at all. My sock wasn't even that thick and I was planning to use them with a thicker sock for cold weather. I love them enough to make the exchange, very cute and durable. August 18, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by Best multipurpose boot Best multipurpose boot I have ever bought. I use these in the snow and the rain abd they always work perfect. As an added bonus I always get compliments on them too! August 17, 2015
Rated 2 out of 5 by Too Small The reviews I read before purchasing were very mixed; some people said the boots ran large while others said they ran small. I decided to order a half size up and they were uncomfortably small even with the thinnest of socks. The last pair of Sorels I had left my feet wet anyway. Unfortunately must be returned. August 14, 2015
Rated 4 out of 5 by Nice boot but runs small I almost always wear a size 9 shoe, but sometimes will wear an 8.5. I read the reviews and decided to order a 9. These boots run really small and are too tight in the length and in the width even with really thin socks on. The heel area feels a bit loose. Definitely order a half size up. Now I am debating whether I should order a 9.5 or a 10. It is really too bad that the customer has to pay for the return shipping. August 10, 2015
Rated 3 out of 5 by Sizing Way Off When I saw this boot ran "True to Size" I ordered a size 6.5. Since then I have had to reorder it TWICE going up a half size each time. I am disappointed in the inaccuracy of the sizing (A whole size)- I have never been a size 7.5 in ANY shoe (usually euro sizes are reliable too!!). Unfortunately Sorel does not offer shipping for exchange purchases so I have had to pay over $20 on top!! The quality is clearly wonderful but the sizing is off!! Please don't make my mistake and ORDER A FULL SIZE UP August 5, 2015
Rated 3 out of 5 by Way too small I really love these boots but I'm flabbergasted at how wrong the sizes are. I am usually a 7.5 or 38 in everything but the sorels I ordered in size 7.5 fit my sister with a size 6 foot. I'm also disappointed that with a sizing as wrong as this there are no free returns, it cost me $10 to return these boots that are so clearly not size 7.5 August 1, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by As expected...cute! The boots look great. They are stiff but that's to be expected. I'm sure they will soften in time. I can't wait to wear them when the weather permits. August 1, 2015
Rated 1 out of 5 by Wet heels These boots are adorable and very comfortable... but after only a few months of casual wear the bottoms of the heels wore right down to the footbed. I almost couldn't believe it when I felt wet socks after a walk in light rain. I'm hoping to be sent replacements soon, and hopefully they'll last longer. July 15, 2015
Rated 4 out of 5 by Very cute and functional! After eyeing these for some time, and not being one to spend a ton of money on clothes, I finally broke down and ordered these. I almost took the advice of several reviewers and went a size down. But after measuring my foot and looking at the sizing guide, I chose to stick to 9.5, my usual size. While the length of the boots fits perfectly, I think these would fit someone with narrower feet slightly better. However, I was still able to fit some thicker socks, so I'm probably just going to put up with a little tightness. My advice: look at the sizing guide, because something funny is going on here with people saying they're too big. They are maybe even cuter in person and great quality. I'm moving to the Northeast for college, so these are going to be my boots for rain, sightseeing, and light snow. Very excited to wear them this semester! July 9, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by Adorable Love these boots, they make any rainy/snowy/muddy day more cheerful. Fit is true to size, I am usually a 6.5 and ordered a 6.5 - fits perfect. The inside liner is smaller than the shoe itself; it's meant to be snug, so that it hugs your foot. I think this is why other reviewers say it runs slightly small. But the thin liner helps the boot stay comfortable on your foot and keep your feet warm and dry. July 5, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by Preliminary Impression I had been eyeing these for a while and was so happy when I decided to get them. They came a few weeks ago and since it is summer here in WA, I havent gotten a chance to really test them out. With that said, they are exactly what I expected, super cute and well constructed, per usual for Sorel. They do feel a bit tight in the toes, but I think that the fabir liner will stretch as they wear in. Also, the leather upper is quite stiff and definitely requires at least crew socks to protect your achillies. Again though, this should break in and soften up. Overall very satisfied with them so far! June 28, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by Amazing transition weather boots These boots have been a life-saver for me in Montana! I wear them in the spring and fall during those slushy transition periods, and even in the summer when it's rainy out. It's great that they don't have insulation, because you can just adjust the thickness of socks that you wear depending on how warm you need to be. I also adore the look of these boots--I think they are super cute. I'm very happy with my purchase. April 25, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by Très satisfaite Je les aime beaucoup.
Rated 4 out of 5 by Nice (small) Boot A very nice looking boot and functional. I would have given 5 stars but it does fit quite small. After reading other reviews I ordered a 10.5 (normally wear 9.5) and it's a bit snug in thin socks. The inside is quite soft so I'm hoping it will work in over time. Overall I'm happy with my boots. October 23, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great boots Love the look of these paired up with leggings and big socks. Very comfortable. October 18, 2015
Rated 4 out of 5 by Out and About true to name Purchased these boots the other day. Great fall shoe/winter boot for when you are out and about. This is not a boot I would recommend wearing while out in the snow in a rural setting (I use my taller winter Sorel boots for that), but rather for when you are driving or just doing errands. Great for fall when weather is unexpected as they are water proof. Great for running errands come the winter and less bulky for when you are driving. A nice, modern take on the ugly duck shoes I had as a kid that my mother would force me to wear to school on rainy days. October 17, 2015
Rated 2 out of 5 by Fits Small I was a bit annoyed when I received my boots. I normally always take a size 7. I now orderd an 8 so I can wear normal thickness socks. They fit a bit narrow as well so if you have a wide foot this boot won't fit well. My foot is neither wide nor narrow and the fit is fine. August 21, 2015
