How to Measure Your Foot

  • Place your feet flat on a piece of paper and mark your longest toe and the back of your foot. It's best to do this standing and wearing socks
  • Measure the length (cm) straight from your longest toe to the back of your foot using a ruler or measuring tape.
  • Use the chart to find your size.

Rated 1 out of 5 by These boots will fall apart The Joplin boot is very cute and true to size but after just a couple of times wearing this boot it began to split at the seams. There is now a gaping hole on each side of the boot along the seam where the bottom suede material pulled away from the top. I have hardly worn these boots and this happened. This happened along the line of the stitching pattern towards the bottom of the boot. You can now fully see the lining inside the boot and they are worthless for wintertime. I would not recommend these boots as they have proved to be terrible quality. Also, good luck keeping the shoelaces tied. February 4, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by OH MY GOODNESS These boots are so comfortable. They are like wearing moccosans.. Not sure I would wear them in any significant amount of snow, but very warm in the cold climate of NH this winter. January 22, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by lightweight comfortable boot The boot was true to size and extremely comfortable. Considering another pair in a different color. Great purchase. November 29, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by I vote yes. I've had my eye on these jems for over a year now and since I just found them on sale I couldn't resist. I got them in sage and ordered a size up as suggested, and glad that I did. There's plenty of wiggle room for my toes, but as it gets colder I'm sure I'll appreciate that with bigger socks and some movement to restore circulation. Comfortable! AND so cute! However not extremely warm, I'll be using them for traction purposes when crossing campus. Definitely not a boot for winter day hikes. November 20, 2013
Rated 4 out of 5 by Warm! This shoe is perfect for wearing around campus in the cold weather. It is very comfortable, and looks great with jeans or leggings. I am always a size 7 1/2, but I ordered an 8 since they don't have half sizes. It fits perfectly. I would definitely recommend going a size up if you usually wear a half size. November 14, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by This is a nice boot I had one color of this boot so when they went on sale I bought two more pair in different colors. The purple or Mulberry I think its called, was one size too small. I ware a size 10. I think the purple boot was about 1 size smaller than the other two pairs of size 10 that I have. Had to return, just too small. Disappointed that the sizing was so off on one pair. I have to add that these boots are the most comfortable boots I own. I have a bad back and I can be in these all day. May 17, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by great boots Love the color and style. They look like a moccasin with a modern color twist. They look great with jeans and cords. At this point I own 3 pairs of these. Thanks Sorel for combining comfort and style. April 30, 2013
Rated 3 out of 5 by Too small I've had Sorel boots all my life. I Loved the style of this boot, the quality looked good and all, but the size was way too small for me. Purchase the pair at around 70$ and had to pay almost 20$ for the return. I'm a bit bummed out. April 5, 2013
Rated 4 out of 5 by Decent commuter boot- but not designed for long exposure. This boot is a cute commuter boot; meaning it'll get you dry from point A to point B dry no problem but it is not designed to withstand long durations to extreme conditions. I like that it has a moccassin look. It is the "shell" of the boot world. No fur or insulin on the side of the boot so it is not designed to keep you warm. I would image it would be nice boot to have to trek to and from work in extreme conditions but yet not overheat once your inside (I live in So Cal so I don't have to deal with that :). I have to wear this boot with my thick socks (hiking). There is slight padding on the inner sole so it is fairly comfortable. The sole is much stiffer than I expected, but not uncomfortably so. There is a significant amount of rubber on the heel and pad of the foot for traction, and I haven't had slippage problems yet. The laces are simply leather bands so it doesn't cinch up super tight, but the laces grip themselves well so I don't worry about them loosening. I typically wear this shoe on rainy days here (commuting to and from work- it stands up well) stepping in puddles and what not, but it wouldn't lasts if I sat outside for several hours in the rain. I have a classic pair of Sorel Tivoli's I wear when I want waterproof without a doubt (if you're looking for dependability and cute- get a pair of printed Tivoli's)- but those have a liner with a fur lip so they're considerably warmer. I wore this boot to Mammoth on a spring snowboard trip recently it is did fine until I sat in the snow playing with my kids for a couple hours. The toes started to get saturated and I felt some moisture, but I'm not too surprised. Also, in my Tivoli's I wear an eight and in this shoe although I also got an 8 I would definitely say it is a snugger fit. If you're in doubt; size up. These are about $90 on Amazon- if I paid that price I wouldn't of been pleased for what I paid for. However I got them one sale straight from the Sorel manufacturer/website for $50 so I'm content with them. Overall: Cute/trendier, good for short exposure to extreme conditions, fairly comfortable for a "shell" of a boot March 23, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by Cute & Comfy I'm a size 6-7 and the 7 just fits with thin or no socks. I like the narrower fit on this style. They are very cute in the green and purple and seem to match a lot of my clothes. I have had them a few weeks and have worn them manny times, i find them comfy all day while on my feet 8-10 hours. The crape sole doesn't slip on wet cerfaces, I'm very happy with my new boots. March 10, 2013
Rated 3 out of 5 by Cute Style...just not for me I had to return these boots as they were way too big. Usually wear a sz 8.5-9, so I ordered the 9. They were huge on me! The style of the boot was cute and the quality seemed great, but I have pretty narrow feet and slender legs and these boots just looked bulky on me. February 22, 2013
Rated 4 out of 5 by Cute boot, runs SMALL This boot is very cute and looks well made, however, it runs very small. Bought 3 pair for myself and daughters and had to return them for larger sizes. Haven't received the new ones yet, but hopefully they will be worth the effort. February 19, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by My Blue Suede Shoes I liked the Joplin boots the moment I saw them. I really like how they look like snow boots and comfy moccasins all in one. So I expected them to be fully functional as not only cold weather shoes but also good work shoes. I work on my feet for 4 to 5 hours at a time on hard, unforgiving wood floors so I needed the comfort and support as well as the warmth I hoped these boots would give me. And I was not disappointed! I really wanted the purple Joplins as they are a truly pretty pair of shoes, however, after reading the reviews that I should go up a size and they only had up to my size in purple, I decided to get the blue ones because they were available in the next larger size to mine. They fit big on me but with thick socks I get a bit of a snugger fit. And, just as I hoped, they are soooo comfortable and warm. When I wear the Joplins to work--it feels like I'm walking on ergonomic pillows cradled in heated blankets! Yes! And the shoes are truly fashionable as well as functional. So my blue suede shoes are a big hit with me (pun intended)! :) When I wear my Joplins to work, my feet no longer sing the blues and that makes me a happy camper! :) February 15, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by LOVE THESE BOOTS I got them in orange, of course, because orange is my favorite color. I would say, in the past week that I have owned them, about 20 different times people said how cute my boots with or how much they liked them--and these compliments were from both ladies and guys. I can't tell you how comfortable these shoes are. I hate wearing shoes. Honestly. But, these... they're like wearing slippers with support/padding and they have grip on the bottom for going through dirt!!! I LOVE THESE! DONT BUY THEM BECAUSE THEN EVERYONE ELSE WILL HAVE THEM AND I WONT BE HIPSTER AND UNIQUE ANYMORE! I could wear these shoes every day for the rest of my life. (Well, I have been lately... goodbye sperry's, I'm not sure if I can go back to wearing you). I got a 7.5 and I'm a size 8 in sperrys, a size 7.5 in recent nike shoes, and I wear vans that are an 8. February 12, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by Comfortable boot! This is a terrific boot! After reading the reviews, I ordered up a half size. Fits great! I teach, so I'm on my feet all day and these are as comfortable in the morning as they are at night! Love them! February 6, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by Cute Boot! But Maybe Not For High Arches~ These cute little boots arrived today and look just lovely. I ordered the color I most wanted~the ones with the pumpkin colored contrast with the pale upper. I was a little worried about choosing the pumpkin/tan over something more practical (something darker to hide the dirt) but I think they would have been O.K. as the light upper is somewhat more grey than it appears in the photos. However, I'm not keeping them. The seam that joins the tan/grey shaft of the boot to the tan/grey bottom portion of the boot presses on the top of my foot uncomfortably. I ordered Joan of the Arctic boots and had the very same problem. I have a wide foot and a high arch. I own both the Chipahko blanket boots and the Cozy Cates and both pairs are wonderful! No breaking in at all. I just need to keep in mind that I can't wear the ones with a seam over the top of the foot. Having read previous reviews, I did order a size up from my usual 8 to a 9. An 8 1/2 would have been perfect but 9 is about a half size too long. Ordering up did not help the high arch/pinchy seam problem at all. Everything about every pair of Sorels I've ordered is wonderful~materials, workmanship, and service. This is a fit/foot issue. February 4, 2013
Rated 3 out of 5 by Cute but unexpected I thought these boots looked cute. I assumed that they were warm boots, and I was surprised when I discovered they weren't. I bought the boots for warmth and outdoor wear. The Joplin boots were not what I expected of a Sorel boot. I guess don't assume when you buy online. February 4, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by Joplin Boot Great shoe..but order a size up February 2, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by Amazing & Comfortable So cute, so comfty! I'm typically a size 7.5 and the 8s fit perfectly, even with a thicker sock. LOVE THEM! January 28, 2013
Rated 4 out of 5 by Very cute I'm not sure that I would have paid full price for these, but once they were on sale I was more than happy to get them and I'm so glad that I did. I wear them all the time! They are comfy and with thick socks warm even on -15 degree days. They don't feel too study so I'm not counting on them lasting for more than a few years, but I know that I'm going to enjoy them while they last! January 28, 2013
Rated 4 out of 5 by Good for a day boot This is a nice boot for day to day things. I wouldn't recommend it for extended periods of being in the snow or slush. However, if you need something that's nice and not too bulky to get too and from work or school, this is a great product. I purchased it in the elderberry, which looked brown to me online and actually turned out purple, but I was fine with that. January 27, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by fun boots Only complaint I have is when you slide your foot into the boot it is tight at the top seam, (top of shoe below the laces). I boughT one pair 9 1/2 & chose my 2nd pair as I do love them a lot Tto a 10 and they fit about the same. They are not winter boots ... you need warm socks. I personally will get a lot of wear & tear out of mine throught the year. Love the moccassin feel. Comfortable & a fun look. January 27, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by love! I bought these in Silver Sage and the color is amazing! I have Joan of Arctics and Trivoli Camp 18s in size 7 but based on a lot of the reviews I decided to go try some on in store before buying. I ended up ordering these in size 8 because I might wear them with a thicker sock and I don't think that would have worked well in 7s. I'm not gonna lie though, I probably would have ordered them anyway if 7 was my only option, they are that amazing!! January 25, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great! I love these boots! So comfortable and adorable on and great for in between flurries and blizzard weather. I am a size 9 - 9.5 and a size 10 fits perfectly. They are warm enough to walk in the snow but not too hot to wear inside at work. Love them! January 21, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by Amazingly comfortable I was really surprised at how comfortable these boots are. I usually find boots to be uncomfortable around the ankle but these aren't all. It's a bonus that they are so cute. January 21, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by Favorite Boots! These boots are awesome! I'd say they are true to size, as I'm always a size 10 in flats and the 10 fits perfectly. They're not too wide for my narrow feet so any kind of sock works with them. (A prior purchase of the 1964 Pac boots required me going down to a size 9 for both length and width as that style runs very large). They're also not too heavy or hot, so they would work from spring through winter (on drier days). I got them in Silver Sage and the colors are accurate in the photo. I plan on spraying them with weather protectant to keep them looking good! January 21, 2013
Rated 4 out of 5 by Joplin Boot Very comfortable, however the seam where the shaft meets the foot is snug on the top of the foot. I typically wear a 7.5 and ordered an 8, it was just long enough. The tongue is a thin piece of leather and is pretty floppy, but stays put once laced up. Very pretty colours! January 20, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by Snug Fit, but Cute I normally wear a 9.5 and purchased a size 10 because I read other reviews saying these ran small. With the 10, my toes still touch the front of the boot! Not to worry, these are leather and after wearing them once they stretched out just a bit and are still comfy. Besides, I have my pride and refuse to by size 11. January 17, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great Little Boots! Oder one size up! I am normally a size 10 and I ordered an 11, it fits perfectly! I love these boots, they are great for every day use, or stomping around a campsite. January 17, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by Awesome! I love the way these boots look and feel. I ordered a full size larger than I usually wear and the fit is perfect. They're super comfortable all day long. I probably won't wear them out in bad weather because I have another pair of Sorels better suited for those kinds of days ;) January 16, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by Lightweight and Warm This boot is lightweight and warm. I bought it for my daughter who is a teacher and does outdoor recess. Sometimes she has to run after special kids and she loves the lightness of the boots. Yet, they are warm as well. She enjoys the style, too. January 15, 2013
Rated 4 out of 5 by Loved style and quality We loved the style and quality, but the boot is too small. So, we are returning. January 13, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by Cute! I ordered a size up after reading reviews.....One size up is a little big with thin sox, but fit just right with warm thick sox, so I'm keeping them. They look great! January 12, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by perfect fit I absolutely love these boots--so comfortable and sure footed. I pulled them on and walked all day. Loved them so much I bought a pair for my niece. A good fall to mid-winter boot. January 12, 2013
Rated 4 out of 5 by Born canadian These are really beautiful boots! Great quality and style. I have worn them just casual with jeans and cuffs rolled up to show how fun they are!!I bought them to sit in the ice hockey arena while my son practices.Probably not great for use in the snow as the suede would be ruined and there is not the usual heavy boot liner Sorel is known for inside. On sale these boots were a great deal.If you are looking for a boot to go hiking through the snow these are not the boots for you.Keeping toes warm on a dry winter day ,on the ice ,or out doing errands you can't beat these babies!! January 11, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by Fun Moccasin Boots I have bone issues with one foot - always have to order half size up so that shoe is not too tight - this boot is True to size - comfortable - trendy - fun - love Sorel products January 11, 2013
Rated 4 out of 5 by Nice looking I really like these boots, but wish they had more padding for the footbed. The more I wear them the better they feel as far as width goes,at first they seemed a bit tight. I ordered a 10 and can wear with heavier socks now without being pinched. I have several pairs of Sorel shoes/boots which consistently fit well and are very comfy with their substantial padding so I was surprised by these. Maybe just too unstructured for me, but I'll keep them for daily wear- just not long walks! January 11, 2013
Rated 4 out of 5 by Pretty pleased! I usually wear a 7/7.5, I ordered these in an 8 and they fit really well. The leather is fairly thin, so it's definitely not a boot for warmth at all. The insole is pretty thin too, I put a Birkenstock blue 3/4 orthotic in it and they were really comfortable for wearing all day. I love the soft crepe sole. January 10, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great casual boot These shoes are very comfortable, warm and not bulky, super adorable. But they run small so order at least a 1/2 size up. I always wear a 9, and these are snug on me. I wish I would have ordered a 9.5 but they are too cute to wait to send back. At least they are warm so I can wear a thin sock. The sage color is great in person, with the pop of color! January 8, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by better than Minnetonka Very comfortable, very flattering! I normally wear a 7 1/2, but I ordered an 8 and it fits perfectly, if I had ordered any smaller it would probably be too snug. The Sage is even better looking in person. It's a dang good deal! January 7, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great Boot! I have been looking for a boot llike this for some time. It's a boot that is very cute and it's also versatile; it can be worn around town or going for a walk. It keeps feet dry and warm & can be worn with any outfit. Awesome boot! January 3, 2013
Rated 4 out of 5 by So cute, but too small! I received these boots today. If anything, they are even cuter than pictured! I love the look/style of them and they are well made. Unfortunately, they do run small, as others have stated and I found their shape too flat to fit my high arches. I will exchange for the next size up, hopefully the extra length will help out! On style, I would recommend them to anyone looking for a unique, very cute boot... January 3, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by Cute but run small These are very fashionable and trendy little boots. They do run small in size for some reason and I would suggest to all who purchase they get one whole size larger. I am a size 8 and purchased a 9 as I read the review from others. Very grateful for the honest input of others so that I can enjoy my comfortable fitting trendy boots. Well made and comfortable. December 31, 2012
Rated 5 out of 5 by Shoe/moc Saw these exact shoes in Sundance Catalog for $148.00 (?) PLUS like 18 addl. for S&H and taxes; loved the shoes, out of my budget; went online and googled Sorel and found the same shoe ON SALE!!! Love it and YOU WILL TOO! Husband and I own and operate a digital printing/graphics shop and I am on my feet, literally, 12 hours a day. I was wearing an 8 yr old pair of Born clogs which I loved dearly, but their cush was gone and my feet were killing me at the end of the day. I had ordered several pairs of shoes from different sites, but they 'just weren't right.' When I stumbled upon these shoe/mocs, I was attraced by their appearance but knew nothing about what they would feel like on hard cement for 12 hrs. Well, they FEEL GREAT! I've also walked the mall in Tulsa all day in them, and I can truly say they are the most comfortable and attractive shoes I have ever had! Everyone asks me where I got them! Order up a size for fit! December 22, 2012
Rated 5 out of 5 by boots i got a size larger than I normally wear. LOVE them. December 17, 2012
Rated 5 out of 5 by Stylin' flat boot for this tall girl! The Joplin is very comfortable and I love the available colors. I wear a 10 but sized up to 11 with these after the 10 was a bit too small. The style fits a bit loose. There is plenty of room to wear thick socks but it also fits great with tights or thinner socks, too. December 3, 2012
Rated 5 out of 5 by Comfortable and Cute! These boots are so cute and so comfortable. I have had so many compliments on them and someone actually took a picture of them while I was wearing. Recommend for indoors or milder climate. Would work with jeans, shorts, etc. November 26, 2012
Rated 5 out of 5 by Fun and comfortable I am a 9.5 in street shoes and 10.5 in running shoes. Tried on both the 9 and 10 and the 10 was a clear choice. I have walked for several miles in town thus far and sometimes wear them to the high school where I work. Great with funky socks and skirts or jeans away from the job. November 15, 2012
Rated 5 out of 5 by FANTASTIC !!!!!!!! I LOVE LOVE these Joplin boots they are comfy and cuteeee. I get some much compliments on them. thinking of getting another color thanks Sorel. smooches November 2, 2012
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great, stylish boot This is a great boot to wear around town and not feel like your wearing heavy-duty bricks on your feet. The Joplin boot is very lightweight, comfortable and extremely cute. Because of the suede outer I wouldn't wear these in any wet environment without treating them first. These boots are ideal for a sunny day after a big snow when the snow starts to get slick, but the crepe bottoms will keep you on your feet. October 13, 2012
