Women’s Glacier™ XT Boot is rated 4.7 out of 5 by 26.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent Choice I needed a snow boot that could hold up in the Wyoming winter. We are constantly outside snowmobiling, ice fishing and doing winter adventures outside. This boot has already went ice fishing, and snowmobiling with great success. They are a bulky boot, but good quality! I have already recommended this boot to others.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from TOO CHUNKY I like chunky boots but these are really bulky so hard to walk in bu super comfortable and cozy. A little disappointed they don't have free shipping/return because these are so heavy so they cost a lot to ship back.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from 2nd pair after 20+ years of wear and tear on my first pair I'm buying a new pair along with an extra liner.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect for forest school! We are out in the snow up to 3+ hours for forest school. I no longer need foot warmers over my wool socks. Please make a tall (to the knees) rain boot without heels and laces. :)

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Keep your toes snuggly warm I bought these because after a long walk with my dogs in my other snow boots, I always ended up with cold toes even when I wore thick socks and sheepskin inserts. After these arrived, I put them on with no socks, just bare feet, and went for a walk with my dogs on a snow-packed road in 10F temps. When I got home my toes were still warm!!!!! They are ugly, huge, and heavy.....but they keep my feet warm, which is why I bought them. Five stars! Update: Today I went for a two mile walk through a snowstorm...my toes were toasty warm the entire way! Btw, I usually wear a size 11 and ordered a size 12, glad I did, I like the extra room for thick socks.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Snug by Snuggly I need these boots for the deep back woods of Maine. I wear a 9.5 shoe and thought that the 10 would be perfect, especially after reading reviews that these boots were "true to size." I found that my toes touched the end of the boot and worried that they might be too small for long days in the snow. I tried a size 11 and they are perfect! Not too big that I can't walk, but enough room to wear socks and my toes are crammed. I would recommend going up a size. Great and very warm boot!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Warm snow boot! I work outside all day in the winter doing dog sledding tours and these boots are awesome. My feet always stay warm all day even in the mornings when its below zero.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect As a letter carrier in the Midwest these boots keep my feet warm, resistant to water and snow and are light enough in weight when walking 10+ miles a day. Couldn't ask for a better boot in functionality.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best Heavy snow boot ever Best heavy snow boot I have ever owned. I have been wearing them the past two days in the recent blizzard and my feet were always warm and dry, and no snow slipping into the shaft. Recommend highly for heavy snow.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Extream Winter Boots These boots were for my wife. She was looking for boots to wear outside in very cold temperatures on the lake and hard packed snow. The boots were much lighter than she expected and very warm. No more cold feet!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great pair of boots I am not one to write reviews but I am one who researches the reviews. I have to make this an exception! This is by far the warmest pair of boots that I have ever purchased!!!I can actually wear only one pair of socks with these. I would give them a 10 if I could!!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Fabulous boot These are so well made and so warm! I love that they make half sizes too, as these big winter boots are even that clunkier when you have to go up a half size. I am a rep for a ski company and spend very long cold days standing at ski resorts setting people up on demo equipment. These are perfect, they elevate you significantly off the snow which is really important in a winter boot. I have the original Joan of Arctic and the new premium Joan of Arctic and as much as I love them they keep you really close to the ground so my feet always end up freezing if I wear them to work in. Not the case with these boots. When you are just standing around its the worst for your feet, and these are perfect for that. Very warm, well made and supportive. Not as fun looking as my other sorels but this is a work boot for me.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from The Warmest Boots These are the best boots for the extremely cold winter. I live on a farm and use these boots every day mucking about; plowing the snow; and riding the ATV. I would have rated them "Excellent" except the drawstring on one of the boots snapped.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from for heavy snow and very cold weather I ordered this boot for heavy snow not to damage my other sorel boots conquest carly, riding boot's and tivoli. I usually wear sorel size 9 (I have a very wide foot) for my 4 other pairs, this one, although very comfy and roomy for extra sock was very large, I could not walk much because of the bulkyness, I sadly returned them, too warm for connecticut weather. I would recommend them for -30 celsius if you have to stand still in the snow, or shovel, they are very comfy but to walk, my size 9 was as long and wide than my husband's size 12 shoes..I will try the snow lion next year...

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Finally warm boots! Living in the northeast we experience quite a bit of cold, I have yet (after spending hundreds of dollars) found boots that kept my feet warm when we're outside for any length of time. These are the answer! I was outside for 5+ hours in 3ft of snow with 0 degree weather and -10 windchill-- walking and standing, and my feet didn't feel the slightest chill in these boots. I had wool socks on and these, that's it. I love love love love them, and I am an absolute baby about being cold- I can't handle the cold at all. I got a 9, I usually wear 8-9 depending on the shoes, mostly falling into an 8.5. I went up because I have big calves and wanted room for wool socks, they're pretty spacious but I'd order up. I definitely recommend if you can get past the lack of cuteness- embrace the super warm outdoorsy look here ladies! Worth it :)!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Glacier XT-The BEST I bought these Glacier XT Sorels back in December for a winter trip to Yellowstone. I live in Aspen and own Sorels already but I needed something heavy duty for the temps in Yellowstone! These boots are the best. My feet were never cold the entire trip. I highly recommend these boots to anyone. They run a little large however so keep that in mind when purchasing them.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Warm and comfy I had the predecessor to this boot (which is no longer being made) for 30 years until my puppy decided to shred it. This boot is as warm and comfortable as the original. The sole is a bit loftier (it feels like I'm walking on a small platform), which I don't care for as much as the previous version, but I still love the boot. The boot is in no way unstable. It's perfect for up State NY winters!

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Seems awesome, until you actually wear them So I bought these boots to combat the blizzards of Boston which brought 100 inches of snow in three weeks. The boots are indeed waterproof and very very warm. I can testify that if you put them on and step into a puddle of snow slush, you will not notice any change in warmth or dryness. BUT if you try to actually walk anywhere in them past your house, you are in for a serious disappointment. They weigh double what the rest of my winter clothes weighs, put together. You will feel like you are lugging cement blocks on your feet after 20 feet. You will begin to sweat and curse and hate your life if you try to use these in any temperature above -10 F (its -8 F outside right now, and I'm sweating bullets after a 10 min walk in these). Second fail, the traction on these boots is NOT GOOD ON ICE. Even your basic ice with intermittent snow here and there, these boots simply don't have what it takes to navigate anything but actual snow. Third fail, the wool inside is very scratchy, which is made double worse because its stiffness makes any sock you are wearing scrunch down and expose your foot. So I need to buy special socks just to wear this shoe? Fourth fail, which initially I was going to ignore, but in light of the rest.. The string which holds the top part of the boot scrunched around your calf, snapped on the first day of me getting the boots. I wasn't pulling extra hard, just trying to bring it to close around my calf. Overall, if you are looking for a pair of boots to put on, walk three feet to shovel your house out, and then walk three feet back - these are fine. If you are looking for a pair of boots to actually wear - look else where.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Where do I start? I got my Glacier Boots in the mail last night and admittedly, I was shell shocked by the size of these boots. THEY'RE HUGE in visible size but not in fit! Don't let that deter you from buying such an AMAZING product. If you are looking for fashion over function, this might not be the boot for you. If you are like me, who really just needed function to combat the 7ft of snow on Boston streets right now, these are the boots for you! Despite the clumsy size (I like sleek and dainty most of the time) the boots are BRILLIANTLY crafted. They are plush on the inside, I can 't help but love the simplicity in the color combo, and while I don't think I'll ever be in -100 degree F temps, I am confident that I would survive based on these boots alone. Can we say TOASTY? Dare I say that I actually think the boots are UNDERPRICED?! For the quality of boot that I just received, I mean, I easily would have paid double for them. When I consider the EXPENSIVE boots I purchased that lasted less than a calendar year because they sprung a leak, I am certain I will NEVER have to buy another boot in my lifetime with these. All in All, I'm a happy camper. Now I can go out and build that snowman my two year old has been begging to build.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Outstanding boots!!! The Glacier XT is superior to all the boots I've ever owned!!! The material and construction are of the highest quality. I have wide feet with a high arch and these boots fit perfectly. They are perfect for the snow we've been getting in NY. They have kept me dry and warm through all my shovelling and have a really cushy comfortable sole. The boot comes to right under my knee for great coverage. I'm 5'2". They offer excellent traction. They are bulky and I love them!!!!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best Boots Ever! These are the best boots for heavy snow and cold. My feet were warm and toasty, but sweaty, even in sub-zero temps. The boots breath so there is no dampness to spoil the warmth. They fit perfectly and are easy to get on and off. Worth every penny!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from ultimate warmth I bought this boot during the Christmas season of 2014 I've never been so warm. the day I put them on it was 15 degrees outside here in Missoula Montana it only gets colder at night i stayed warm the whole time I wore them. they have not yet seeped through with water I would recommend them to anybody who wants to stay warm during the winter months and they are good until - 75 or negative 100 you can't beat that. it's fashionable to be warm.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Canadian Living in Chicago - I know my Sorels!!! I am OBSESSED with these boots!!! Growing up in Northern Ontario Canada - my very first pair of Sorels were the white Snowlion's... and I've craved the warmth of those boots since moving to the States almost 20 years ago. I thought I'd never have a boot like that again - until 3 years ago when I saw Sorel advertising on Michigan Avenue! Less than 24 hours later, I purchased my first pair, the Tivoli. I felt a bit self-conscious walking down the Mag Mile - but hats off to great marketing, it seemed that within weeks, almost 1 in 4 women were wearing Sorels commuting to work. Last year I purchased the Caribou (cute and warm but they dig into my achilles right above my heels and are impossible to get off every single time). I was going to get the Snowlion this year, but changed my mind and just unboxed my new Glacier XL's. I've been snow-dancing around my loft ever since hoping for another Polar Vortex so I can get out there and rawck these babies! I love the fit, the look... and most of all - the easy ON - OFF!!! Amazing for being such a tall boot! LOVE!!! They are also rated for -100F, so I'm trusting that my long walks with the dog along Lake Michigan this winter will be a toasty adventure, and my trips back home to Canada will have me fitting in with the locals! Thank you Sorel!
