Men's Caribou Thermoplus® Liner

Men's Caribou Thermoplus® Liner
Men's Caribou Thermoplus® Liner 4.1 5 85 85
Have loved them for over 25 years I have had to replace the liners of my boots twice, but have loved them for over 25 years. December 18, 2011
Liners size wrong Just recieved my new liners. There is an error in the manufacturing of these liners that makes them stick up out of the boot by about an inch and a half. The snow cuff is floating well above the boot and will not keep any snow out of the boot. Because the liner protrudes so far from the boot it also looks horrible. March 15, 2014
SO happy to be wearing my Sorels again! I bought these Caribou Sorels when I was a Junior in High School, in 1982. Over the years, a curious dog or two nibbled at the fur at the top of the lining, and years of avid wear wore the felt lining down to a thin slip of fabric. They sat in my closet, unused, for many years. We've moved them with us from house to house, but they were not worn.I ordered a pair of new liners in my size and VOILA! My old boots are alive again! I love the firm feel and confident traction I have, and really enjoy the warmth. It's been a particularly cold winter in Minnesota, and I have been tromping through snow and ice with no concern. And, they're as fashionable and attractive as they were when I was in High School. Thanks!!DAB February 22, 2014
Ankle to small Even though the size was lager than my size, the ankle was to small and I couldn't put it on. Good construction. February 21, 2014
Thermoplus liner I'm somewhat happy with the liners. I would have liked a size 9 but they were not available.Using a size 8+1/2, I was barely able to put them on at first, but once on they were comfortable. Then slip foot and liner into boot.Taking them off was very hard at first. Slip foot and liner out of boot and I needed help taking off the first few times. Then the fabric in the front top connecting both sides, kinda like a sewn in place tongue of a shoe ripped on both sides. I don't like this very much, but now I can just about get off myself.Ron P. Could be better Have a pair of caribous that are 20 years old. Wore out the original white liners. At the time of ordering them they did not have white. No biggie. Got the black ones and just like some others had wrote... The liners pull out almost everytime i take of my boots. Liner feels thinner than the old used ones i was replacing. Liners are taller than my boot outter shell( possibly from shrinkage over the years?) BUT... If ya need new liners ya dont really have a choice nothing else out there. February 4, 2014
better the original really nice liner warmer then the one that came with the boot. January 22, 2014
Nice fit The option of buying a new part for a product feels radical these days. The new liner from Sorel is a welcome way to extend my snow boots. My shell is stamped 11, but I bought an 11.5 liner. It fits in the shell perfectly. Other reviews have noted the snugness of the elastic in the upper of the new liner. This means the liner stays on your foot. I opted to cut the elastic vertically a few inches to ease in and out. January 19, 2014
Good Service I was very satisfied with the service I received when ordering the liners, The boots & liners I replaced are over 30 years old, &, we weren't sure the new liners were compatible.. they fit in my boots 'ok' except, with the fully enclosed fronts, (the old liners had just a one inch strip of elastic holding the front together), make them very hard to remove, they want to pull out of the boot, rather than off of my foot..The quality is 'ok' in my opinion, but they aren't as heavy (thick) as the liners they replaced..Overall I'm satisfied.. January 14, 2014
Great product I got these for my son-in-law, he just loves them and says they are perfect. Just what he needed to get through this cold Colorado winter. January 8, 2014
Stick with Genuine Sorel Liners I have a pair of Caribou's purchased in the early 80's. Still had the original liners, you can imagine what they looked like. It was time for a change. But I could not find any Sorel liners in stock any where. It was the middle of December so I figured they were long gone by now.So I tried some off brand liners and they are not same. The fit and the quality of the material are not the same.I went right to the source, sorel.com and ordered up a pair of liners. The pricing is the same as what you would find locally and the shipping was quick. The fit is great and they seem to be alot warmer than I remember them being. And just in time too, its cold up here! Thanks again, January 1, 2014
Would have preferred the original design. The quality is good as expected. I'm disappointed in the design which doesn't suit my feet. The original Caribou liners were open in the front which allowed me to slip my feet in and out easily. The new design is closed at the front and makes them too tight to easily slip a socked foot in and out. The whole liner comes out of the boot and has to be reinserted every time I take the boots off. My only options are to cut the front of the liners down to the instep or return them. I'm keeping them only because my dog chewed up the old ones. December 31, 2013
Replacement Liners The replacements aren't as good as the original liners which came with the boots in the 1980's. December 27, 2013
Replacement Liners for Sorel Caribou boots These are terrible!I have had my Sorel Caribou boots for over 20 years and they have kept my feet warm and comfortable throughout my Colorado Rocky Mountain winters all that time. But after 20+ years the liners wore out (holes in bottoms & toe area) so my days of working the Men's World Cup Downhill races on our ski mountain were quite painful. So, as soon as I got home I went online looking for liner replacements and these Thermopulus liners are all I could find. They come no where close to the comfort & warm protection of the originals. My boots are now difficult to get on & off due to the tight elastic running down the center AND most importantly, my feet get very cold within 15 minutes of being outside. My volunteer work on Beaver Creek ski mountain requires me to be on my feet in the village for at least 2 hours before I change into ski gear and get on the mountain. Now my ski boots are the welcome relief for foot warmth and comfort! I have had to put chemical foot warmers in the boots to be able to endure.I am disappointed what were my "Gold Standard" winter footwear is no longer capable of doing the job of protecting my feet as they did for the 20+ years prior.. I only wish that you would revert back to the original material and construction of the WHITE liners that came in my boots. December 26, 2013
Getting in and out of the Boot Liner. The liner is very hard to get on, and very difficult to get off!!!Had to cut the front of the liner, to make them look like the old ones, which worked great. Added some Velcro at the top for the closer, good to go now. Sorel, I shouldn't have to do this!!! December 25, 2013
Thankful for my order I am Thankful for the orderI received it really fast, it was just what i ordered andit made the boots a joy to wear once again.Thank everyone there for helping me to getmy order and for your help. Gary December 25, 2013
A Very Old, Rare, and Fathful Sorel In 1985 I wrote Sorel and asked them if they had a heavy duty industrial boot. I am a tractor mechanic in the northwest. They replied with information and a picture of a boot called "Steel Pac." Sorel said these boots were made for Alaskan Pipeline workers in limited quantity's. I ordered a pair. These boots have a thick and stiff cleated sole. Double thick rubber last. Heavy chrome tan leather uppers. Wool / sherling liners. Heavy waxed laces, and best of all "Steel Toes."Thirty years later they are still going strong without a crack in the rubber or a broken lace. Totally water proof and heavy throughout.Well I finally needed new liners so I emailed Sorel. They recomended The 9mm Men's Caribou Thermoplus® Liner.Great fit, warmer then the originals, more comfortable, and more breathable. What a great upgrade for my 'Old Fathful' winter boots. Thank you Sorel...And here's to many more years of service from these fine old Sorels. December 24, 2013
Good fit I purchased these to replace the ones that came in my Eddie Bauer pack boots. They fit perfect, and are warm. December 23, 2013
Great Replacements I replaced my old liners that were 20+ years old. I suspect these will last just as long. December 22, 2013
too small for my husbands big feet i had to return the liners they were too small they are on the way back they were good quality December 21, 2013
thermoplus liner i make my living driving a snow plow so i know cold weather. these new liners have given me back my favorite snowboots and they are perfect. my next boot purchase will be sorel boots December 20, 2013
Old Boots became new again I have a pair of Sorel's that are 25 years old. I had duck taped the liners over the years to patch the holes until there was really nothing left of them. Ordered and new pair of Caribou liners and now my boots are like new again. Still got some tread on the bottom. Love my Sorel's!!! December 19, 2013
Great! I bought these liners to fit a pair of 25 year old Timberland Pac boots. In turn, my old liners have an orthotic-like innersole in the 'felt' liner itself. I bought one liner-size larger, in my case Men's size 12 to 13. That was to take the innersole volume into account and everything is perfect. This is a nicely made, warm, comfortable and quality product.FWIW the height measurement appears to be taken from the INSIDE of the empty boot; boot arch to top lip. The wool snow band sits above that. December 17, 2013
Men's Caribou liner Awesome product, true to fit, high quality expected from Sorel. December 7, 2013
Great value. It's a great value that you can actually replace the part that wears out. With the construction of the outer boot, as long as the inserts are replaceable, they should last a lifetime. November 22, 2013
They are just like the originals I've been meaning to replace the liners for a while. My late wife claimed the originals as booties before she died and I never found them. I wanted a pair just like the originals with the wool along the top. November 16, 2013
Sorel Caribou Thermoplus Liner I expected high quality, because it is Sorel. I expected a fair price, because it is Sorel. I expected something a little more, because it is Sorel. The liner looked and felt like a high quality product. Delivery was on time. Once I put it in a pair of my grandfathers old Sorel's and nestled my foot in I knew it was Sorel! November 14, 2013
keeping my feet warm. fast, had the right size and easy to work with. November 11, 2013
Better than the original liner Quick, delivered as promised and the liners are of better quality I beleive than the ones that originally came with the boots. Can wait for snow!! September 27, 2013
Fits Big Horn Needed liners for my old boots. I have Big Horns. They are no longer made. I was told to order these liners they worked great. April 1, 2013
great product Thank you for getting my new boot liners (Caribou Thermo Plus) to me so quickly. When I decided to upgrade my 25-year old Caribous, I was not certain that the new liners would fit. I'm happy to say they fit perfectly and feel great. Additionally, they are well made and of good quality. Since winters here on Cape Cod are not as cold or long and snowy as they are in Vermont, I should get many more years of wear out of what has been my "go to" winter boot for the last 25+years. March 6, 2013
Caibou Thermoplus Great Very pleased with the Men's Caribou Thermoplus Liner. They fit perfectly in the boots and saved the cost of buying new boots. My only concern is that they were not made in the USA or Canada. February 21, 2013
The inserts fit perfectly! My recent purchase for replacement inserts to my SOREL Caibou boots has been most satisfactory. I've had these boots for over twenty years and they look like new. The inserts did wear out with use (as expected) and the new ones continue to keep my feet warm in even the coldest weather. Thanks for the timely service.Father David February 21, 2013
not the original I bought a pair of replacement liners for a pair of Caribous' that I've had as long as I remember, but the originals had white trim whereas the replacements were black other than hat I am content with my purchase February 14, 2013
New liners New liners for my old boots. Just the thing. Lots of snow in SLC and its been pretty cold at times. That and a new dog to walk, I'm thrilled to have warm feet again. February 11, 2013
all it claims to be great fit price is right and delivery was fast and the service was great February 11, 2013
inserts wish they were made in usa February 9, 2013
Caribou Liners I have had the boots going on 40 years. Tread is still good on boots but needed new liners. The liners I received fit the boots and my feet very good you could say excellent! February 4, 2013
Not true to size, very small. Very disappointed. These Sorel liners ran very small and are impossible to even put on. I didn't realize when I bought these that the shin area is missing the elastic and is fully sewn shut. My last pair of Sorels had an elastic opening in the shin area which allowed me to easily slip my foot in with heavy socks, these don't. There is no way that I could squeeze my foot into these even without socks. They are not worth the money, I'm very disappointed. January 25, 2013
Not warm enough for Minnesota in January Even though I was pleased with the quality. It sure did not make my feet any warmer. On the two times that I had to wear my boots with the new liners my feet were numbing cold. The temp was -2 degrees and my feet were only warm for about 15 minutes. This is not acceptable for a average temperature in Minnesota. Very dissapointed and cold. January 24, 2013
Life without Liners is no life at all I bought my Caribou's in 1979 and have been wearing them every winter since .. this is my first replacement liners and why I waited it's anyones guess .. When I purchased these boots I was working the winters at Big Sky resort in Montana; they only sold Mens boots so I bought a size 6. Now there are so many beautiful boots made for women .. but I'll stick with the one's I have .. they are the best cold weather boots I've ever owned.Thank you January 13, 2013
Quality Product, harder to take off and on The quality is there, well made with quality materials. However, the liner is sewn tighter and higher up on the ankle so you cannot take your boot off without the liner coming out of the boot. I am sure it is warmer, but just takes more time to get off and on. January 13, 2013
Good Lilners- perhaps a bit tall These liners are to replace some that are nearly 15 years old. For some reason, they are approximately 2 inches taller than my old boots, which are Sorel Caribou boots. No matter, however- they are warm, and I just figure my leg will stay warmer further up this way. January 13, 2013
Old is New Again Okay...so my Caribou boots are 25 years old and I truly earned the new liners from many years of ski patrolling. If I didn't know better I'd swear that I am wearing my son's new boots instead. So very very happy with my purchase and the fast efficient service from Sorel! January 10, 2013
Toasty Warm Great to have new liners for my Caribou boots which will last for ever. Ordering was a snap. Thanks! GM January 10, 2013
new again now after getting new liners my sorels are again the best snow boots ever. January 7, 2013
Different lining My Caribou boots are 10-15 years old and the are still great, the lining I prefer is open slit down the front which is easier to take off and put on without the lining coming out of the boot. The lining is also a little higher up then the boot exposing the felt. I love the boots and the original lining but the new lining will do and is still far above anything else. January 5, 2013
1st replacement after 25 years These are the best boots money could buy. I finally replaced the liners after 25 years of use. I'm sure I will get another 25 years from them. The new liners are a bit tighter since there is no cut out in the front as in the old ones. January 2, 2013
Great for DogSledding in Northern Ontario! I wore my Sorel Caribou boots and liners during our recent DogSledding trip in Northern Ontario. Temps were about 10F and these boots/liners worked exceptionally well!I would also like to compliment the Sorel customer service people. They were so kind and helpful in fixing a mistake I had made on the order. Amazing! :)--Morton January 2, 2013
Great product Bought these for my husband for his 30+ year old boots. They went into the boots easily. His boots are now as good as new and should keep him warm for many years to come. December 27, 2012
