Men’s Berlin™ Chukka 4.3 5 6 6
Great shoes I am very particular about my shoes as I have wide feet with need for support in the arch. I own other sorel boots for winter and have been very happy with their quality, so I purchased these. I have worn them everyday since I purchased them. As a woman with wide feet, this pair of mens chukkas were perfect for me. I have walked all San Francisco while on my honeymoon. this is unheard of for me. My feet never were sweaty or uncomfortable. I live in Utah so the snow has been fine to navigate, though I doubt water would be so forgiving. Many people commented on how "cool" they were. Very happy. I just purchased the similar model in the shoe. December 30, 2013
Would love to give them a five. . . . but I have purchased two of these chukkas in the past two years and sadly both of them have not lasted a year. Given the price and "high quality" reputation for Sorel footwear, I was pretty disappointed on the quality of the rubber soles. The first one lasted me about 6 months of regular use. I decided to purchase a second one because I absolutely love the look and convinced myself that the complete tear of the rubber sole could have been attributed to a lot of use. However this second pair lasted me only 3 months and I had the same exact tear/problem with the rubber sole, which suggests lower manufacturing or material quality than I would have expected from Sorel. The comfort and style (have gotten many compliments from both pairs) are absolutely great and I would strongly recommend these on those criteria alone. However, casual, everyday footwear should last me more than a few months. I'm hoping to find the receipt for this last pair and will wait to post on how true the one-year warranty is. cool style, kinda cheap material It's hard to find good shoes in size 14. I really liked the design on these and I thought the price at the time ($50) was reasonable. Fortunately they fit great and look pretty good, just like the pictures for the most part. The quality of materials isn't great though, at least in my non-expert opinion. The canvas is really thin, and there are parts where the white inside pattern is sticking out, and it's pretty obvious against the black exterior. It's not super noticeable unless you're looking right at the shoes, but I'm thinking about taking a little black paint to it anyways. Also have yet to see how these will hold up after longer use and rain (I live in Seattle). They feel relatively sturdy right now though. One of the pros of the thin material is that these shoes don't look big. I have big feet, and at size 14 some shoes look comically large. These do not, which I appreciate. September 19, 2013
New Year, new sneaker I already have a pair of Sentry Chukka's from last year that I almost have worn out. I wear them every day. I received the Berlin as a gift after carefully hinting that I wanted them. These shoes are lighter and smaller seeming overall than the Sentry. In particular I believe the sole is less thick, reminds me more of the sole on my Chesterman slip ons, but not quite like that either. So far I am quite happy with them, but as I have had them only a couple of weeks, I cannot speak to wear. That said, they seem like they should hold up great. As with every pair of Sorel shoes I've owned, the quality is top notch. They feel VERY comfortable on, and I can walk all day in them. Can't recommend them highly enough. August 5, 2013
very happy! looks, construction, materials, tread, insole support...all of it: just great! roomy enough but good, secure feeling...sure fits my need for something just right on my feet for walking my pups on the gravel road and putzing around the yard (at 77yrs and counting)....these, my third Sorel purchase, and there may be a forth one of these days too...again, very happy about my new summer shoes!!! I am a Sorel fan I have this Chukka in canvas and another in leather. I also have two pairs of sneakers in leather and one in canvas and am in the process of getting another pair in canvas. Do you think I like them or not? First of all they are very well made, they fit me and are comfortable, they are stylish with good taste, and a real bonus to me is the sole insert is the best iI have ever seen and felt in any shoe. I live in South Carolina so I really do not wear boots or oxfords much, but if I did I would check those out with Sorel. April 21, 2013
