How to Measure Your Foot

  • Place your feet flat on a piece of paper and mark your longest toe and the back of your foot. It's best to do this standing and wearing socks
  • Measure the length (cm) straight from your longest toe to the back of your foot using a ruler or measuring tape.
  • Use the chart to find your size.

Rated 1 out of 5 by Poor Materials In Construction Hope these are better than the previous three pairs I have had to return every year for the past three years. Boots tend to crack at flex points of foot after wearing for a couple months. May 1, 2016
Rated 1 out of 5 by Heavy Boots Very heavy and confining boots. Unless you want to carry around leg weights, don't do it! They are also very small compared to normal shoes. It cost me over $26 in shipping that was lost since u had to return them. That's wrong to punish the consumer for a misfit. March 16, 2016
Rated 1 out of 5 by Very poor and not the first I have had several pair of Sorel Boots from the Conquest to the Caribou, Conquest is Ok but the Caribou is very poor quality in respect to leakage. Now I would figure once you hit the height of the leather in wet conditions you would get possible leaking but on 2 pairs I have had the soles split and leak. No excuse for this, better product out there. February 29, 2016
Rated 5 out of 5 by Best Boot Ever! Best boot I've ever purchased! Easy to get in and out of and keeps my feet very warm in the NE snow! I get a lot of compliments on these boots! February 12, 2016
Rated 5 out of 5 by Sturdy and Warm Got these for my hubby for Christmas and they are true to size, super warm and waterproof. He Loves them! February 8, 2016
Rated 1 out of 5 by not as advertised The tag on the boots rated them to -41. I as skeptical but bought them anyway. I do some outside work through the winter and used them on a day when it was 20 degrees. My feet got cold. I returned them February 2, 2016
Rated 1 out of 5 by For show I am a plumber in colorado. They do not keep warm. They cracked the rubber the first winter I had them. Happened to my wife's boots twice. Good fit and comfortable other wise. Great if you live in a place where you don't have to worry about the weather elements or you just want to be stylish with poor quality boots. January 31, 2016
Rated 1 out of 5 by Avoid! Broke my heart.. Loved these boots! Thought they would be with me for years down the road... referred to them as "My Sorels", as if they were close friends... 14 months later the rubber dry rotted. A common theme I saw in reviews.., with only a 12 month warranty...? :( its just not fair. January 26, 2016
Rated 1 out of 5 by No longer the best I have been wearing Sorel's since I was 13. I wore those first boots from 13-39. I was in the Scouts, and wore them a lot when I was younger. The only reason I retired those boots was because the leather was breaking down a little (only a little). I saw these boots and I had to have them. I got the black on black version. I loved them. They look beautiful. They are warm, comfortable, and dry. In about 1.5 years of light use, the rubber cracked. And by light use, I used them to snow blow my driveway a hand full of times and I took a couple of walks in the park. They cracked so bad I can put my whole finger through the hole. I am so disappointed! Others have said the same thing. I would not buy Sorel's again until they address the issue. I don't except them to last 25 years, but I do except them to last a long time. There is no reason that quality boots shouldn't last a long time. January 21, 2016
Rated 1 out of 5 by Cracked rubber Buyer beware!!! The rubber is of poor quality and will crack after minimal use. Poor quality and not worth the wet feet later. I use to be a Sorel believer. I can't stand beside or "in" these boots anymore. January 20, 2016
Rated 1 out of 5 by Cracked rubber I thought for the price I was getting a quality product. I was expecting a warm, durable boot. I was surprised after 1.5 years of very light use(maybe worn 20 times in normal snowy conditions) the rubber began cracking on both boots in the same spot. I will try to exchange them or get them fixed, but I will never buy a pair of sorel boots again. They are pretty warm, but obviously poor quality overall. They are not made to last. January 17, 2016
Rated 3 out of 5 by My Second Pair I love the quality or Sorel Caribou boots. They work great for snowmobiling. This is my second pair and I find that they fit a bit small compared to my original boots that came from Canada... the Chinese version are not as true size as my original boots but the quality of workmanship appears to be there....dry, warm, and comfortable. January 6, 2016
Rated 5 out of 5 by Outstanding Quality & service Been a few years since I purchased Sorel boots. I had forgotten how well they fit and the quality of construction. Anyone needing a product that will last for years and fit properly Sorel is for you! January 4, 2016
Rated 5 out of 5 by Gift Review will be available after Christmas. Sorels were on my son's wishlist.... as his 20+ year old pair need to be replaced. December 18, 2015
Rated 3 out of 5 by This boot was way too big! My husband normally wears a 10.5 shoe. We were warned that these boots ran "a little large" so we ordered a size 10, but they were still HUGE! I was not happy to pay $21 dollars to send them back! But we did in exchange for a size 9, and they are still too large! But we decided to live with them rather than paying another $21 dollars.... Rated 5 out of 5 by Loves them! I have been wearing Sorel boots for years. I purchased a pair for my husband who has never had a pair before. He is VERY excited for his toes to stay warm and dry this winter! He really likes the quality of the boot and knows they are going to be his go to for many years to come! He wears a size 11 shoe, he thought he was going to need an 11.5, I told him they are true to size. Sure enough, 11 is perfect even if he needs to put a heavier sock! November 30, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by How I was paid to wear these boots. Around 7 years ago I went shopping and saw these boots. Tried them on. Liked them, walked away not buying because I found them expensive. Next time at X-mas sales I saw the boots again at - 50% off and finally bought them. After several days I noticed a lirttle flaw with the sole on right (Most probably the sole was not glued properly.) I went back to the shop and wanted to returned them, but I lost the receipt. The cashier asked me the date of purchase. By mistake I told her wrong date and got FULL PRICE 100% money back!!! I could not believe it. :) The shop just paid me 50% of price for nothing. Several days after I came into the shop again and saw the same exact pair which just I returned for 75%off the starting price. (They put notice on tags about a small flaw with the sole.) I remembered that the shop paid me already 50% of the price by mistake and decided to buy these lucky boots again. I just glued at home with superglue and that was it. This is how I got these superb boots for free and even got paid 25% of the price. Just imagine: you are getting free pair of boots and get paid 25% of the price as bonus!!!! November 29, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by Sorel caribou boots The best boots I have ever owned. I do snow removal, and my feet never have been wet or cold in the five seasons that I have owned them. November 26, 2015
Rated 1 out of 5 by Rubber Cracked in TWO pairs. Here in Vermont, we depend heavily on our snow boots during the long New England winter. I purchased a pair of Caribous in 2012 to replace a competitor's pair that had lasted me over 15 Vermont Winters. Half way through Winter I noticed that the rubber around the toes had developed a crack. The cracking grew longer and wider as Winter progressed resulting in wet, cold feet every day. I work outdoors 80% of the time,so this was a miserable personal experience. $149 down the drain. I suspected that the first pair was a fluke and, since I do like how Caribou's look, I took the plunge and purchased another pair the following year. The same thing happened: during Winter rubber cracked and crept around the toes resulting in soggy inserts and cold wet feet again! Out of pocket another $150! In my opinion this product is sub-par. November 12, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by WON'T BUY THEM AGAIN Because I will not need to. I bought my Sorel Caribou's more than 30 years ago and they are still going strong. Very warm and since they are more than THIRTY YEARS OLD it goes without saying the quality cannot be beat. You can buy a cheaper pair but then you will need to buy another pair to replace the cheap ones. Don't remember what I paid for them but at todays prices they cost me $5 a year. I did make two modifications, I heated the boots with a hair dryer and coated the outsides with Sno-Seal which is a combination of paraffin and bees wax. Also I coated the liners with liquid Plasti Dip. It is a rubber coating used to dip tools into to form a rubber grip. After that I could stand in deep water and not a drop touched my foot. Who passes down shoes? I will because these things won't wear out. November 5, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by They last and last ! Have them for 16yrs. Just wear them when I sell at the farmers market each year.Make sure you wear woolen socks and your feet will never feel cold again. September 29, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by Warm No boot I have ever owned matches these boots for sub zero NY weather. It gives me confidence on the worst days that at least my feet wont freeze or get cold when I leave the protection of the house. Sorel, its my Go to Boot. April 8, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by Perfect boot for extreme cold I bought a man's boot as I have a very wide foot and I was extremely pleased with this boot. I was out in below zero weather in Alaska for 10 days and never had cold feet! Highly recommend this boot. March 22, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by The BEST! Bought these for my son, because I've had two pairs in the last 30years and feel they are the best winter boots for the money. They fit correct and they work great in these great NH winters.Thank you Sorel! March 7, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great Boots I have only worn them once but that one time was great. I felt the size was perfect and the fit for my feet was great. Haven't worn them in the super cold yet, but I know that they will be perfect because I have my original pair that I bought when I was 18 and now I am 62 and they still are great. thanks, DM - CT February 28, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great Boots..Great Buy! I wore Sorels for 22 years while serving in the Air Force...many long cold days outside on the flight line. One of the best pieces of cold weather gear I've ever worn. Sadly, they were stolen at a ski area in Colorado. Guess somebody needed them more than I did. Purchased a new pair of insanely priced Caribou's on clearance at the Base Exchange. Okie's don't have much use for boots like this, but I knew an awesome deal when I saw one. It was snowing the day I bought them and I put them on in the store before leaving. Walking out the door was like getting reacquainted with an old friend. Fit perfect, comfortable and warm...AHHHH. Must say the pair I purchased was a full size smaller than what I usually wear. A little concerned by some reviewers experiencing cracks in the rubber outsole. I've seen this happen before with these boots back in my Air Force days and I would attribute the cracking to wearing an improperly fitted boot...too large a size. Did I mention these boots look great too? February 27, 2015
Rated 2 out of 5 by Way too big for a normal leg You probably can't tell by the pictures, but these boots are too large compared to your legs when you try them. Other models are not as big as this one. It would be great if Sorel uploaded some picture of a model wearing them so you can see what I'm saying. If you don't mind that, these boots will definitely keep you warm, excellent quality, and the colors are awesome. February 24, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by Gift for Dad I bought this boot for my Dad size 9. He was very surprised they fit him. He loves the boot and said "they are very warm and cozy" he is going to recommend the store to his friends. I will also recommend the store to my friends. February 21, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by Best snow boots ever! I bought these to wear casually on our skiing trip to Snowshoe and couldn't be more pleased! I had to buy a half-size larger than I needed, but with the inserts and thick socks, they fit perfectly. Our last day there, the temp. range was -8 to -42 and my feet were toasty and warm. I'm glad I spent a little more for the Sorels. February 20, 2015
Rated 2 out of 5 by Sizing a huge issue Order about 2.5 sizes too big if you'd like to get them actually on your feet. Great deal on great product, but had to send them back twice to get the right fit. February 12, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by are you kidding? with record amounts of snow where I live in Massachusetts, I am not at all hesitant about getting out in the snow. I was before, to be sure, but not now. The boots arrived just in time for me to be able to do what I have to do, in the snow and the cold, and not worry about braving the elements. February 11, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by new school this boot has a very young new look to the old classic sorel. I love it! i am normally a 10 bought a nine. a little snug to start but perfect after two or three days. February 8, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by Back to the best Came back to Sorel after going without for a while glad to have them again wore my first pair for years on my trapline in Montana coldest those boots saw was 38 below zero and they did just fine the new ones seem every bit as good and I am glad to have them I expect they will last me for a long time again!! great for snowshoeing, hunting ect January 31, 2015
Rated 3 out of 5 by I so wanted to like them. Let me first preface this by saying I really wanted to like them. My wife and kids have Sorels and they all love their boots. I am 5'5" and normally wear a size 8. I purchased the caribou in a size 7 after trying them in the store. They look amazing and the quality is very nice. The soles feel thin and I'm concerned I would feel the cold under my feet. My only real concern is how big they look on me. The boots look huge relative to my size. They're just too wide and big. They fit fine but they add an extra two inches of rubber and material which add a lot of weight which make them heavy and clunky for daily use. Driving is a challenge but can be done with a gentle touch. Perhaps I'll try a different style but the classic Caribou will not work for me. :( January 31, 2015
Rated 2 out of 5 by Fashion boots only, don’t expect them to last! These were great boots for 2.5 winters. I wore them for shoveling and general wear during snow storms in NH... until the rubber on the bottom cracked and they are no longer waterproof. There's a fold that develops in the rubber above your arch/ball of foot and that’s where they cracked on both the left and right boot. If you have your receipt, you might be able to get it replaced under warranty. I don't and now I have nice looking but useless snow boots. January 28, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by Minnesota Living During Minnesota winters we can experience below freezing temps, several feet of snow, and lots of ice. So far I have founds these boots to work perfectly in every type of weather. They are not only warm, and keep my feet dry in the deep snow, but they also have great traction on our ice covered roads and sidewalks. I would definitely recommend these boots to anyone looking! January 24, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by Love the boot, sizes BIG I love the Caribou Boot! I would definitely recommend trying them on before purchasing. I wear a 10.5-11 shoe/sneaker but in the 11 I was swimmimg and even in the 10.5 I was pistoning up and down with every step. I finally worked my way down to a 10 when I went to the Sorrel store in Manhatten and found the right size, 10. Once again I love the boot!!! They are warm, fit well and look good too. I will definitely buy Sorrel again and recommend. Great product!!!!!!! January 21, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by Caribou boots Good shipping time, fit true to size as advertised. Had to wait a couple of months to give them a good cold weather and snow test and they kept my feet warm and dry. Very pleased with my new boots! January 20, 2015
Rated 3 out of 5 by Not as warm as advertised These boots will not keep your feet warm at the temps advertised. The liners are much thinner than my older boots and the boot soles are very thin. I am very disappointed. I hate them and can't return them. January 8, 2015
Rated 4 out of 5 by Nice Boot, but sizing is too big I usually wear a 10.5 US shoe, but with these boots, the 10 was even too big. I had to go with the 8 for a snug fit. Now with the proper size, I must say these boots feel great! January 6, 2015
Rated 4 out of 5 by Fitness in sub-zero temperatures I live in Minnesota and waited until we had sub-zero temperatures to assess my new boots. We have been to -10 now, with -25 wind chill. I find the boots comfortable, but I do feel the cold a little bit through the soles, so I wonder if they would be adequate for the advertised -40. The metal rings for lacing are quicker and easier than the holes on my previous Sorels. I am hoping for the 25 years of service I got from my last pair! January 5, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great looking boot Bought for my teenage son as Christmas gift. Fit was perfect, the color is sharp looking. January 4, 2015
Rated 2 out of 5 by Boots Not Warm Enough I bought these boots for my husband for Christmas since we were spending the holidays in Utah. After wearing them the first time, he complained that his toes were cold. So we are returning them. We are very disappointed as we thought there would be no issues. January 3, 2015
Rated 1 out of 5 by Low quality I have had Sorel boots for years. My father-in-law, a retired cop gave me a pair of well worn originals with new liners that lasted me another 15 years in upstate New York. I liked them so much that 3 years ago I bought a pair of Black Caribou to use for dressier occasions. This year with the advent of winter I wore my boots only to discover a leaking boot. I got only two years of moderate use before I need to replace them. Today I checked the warranty and see I am out of luck. 1 year warranty I am like many people here. Disappointed by the drop in quality. I will not be buying Sorels again. December 18, 2014
Rated 4 out of 5 by Great boot, liner annoying. Everything about this boot is great- perfect for MN winters. Only complaint is that the liner comes out every time he takes them off. Going it will get better with time. December 10, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Pectfect! I purchased these boots for my husband. We own a second home upstate NY where we have a small farm. On week ends my husband tends to the live stock. He wore one pair of socks and his feet dry and warm. He loves them. He actually was surprised, I wasn't because I purchased a pair for myself last year. They do run large so purchase one size smaller. December 4, 2014
Rated 3 out of 5 by Caribou Boot I purchased this boot for warmth. I Live in Minnesota where temps drop below zero often. This boot does not keep my feet warm for very long, this is a well made boot but...... When walking on the snow it feels like the bottom of the boot is not thick enough, you can feel everything you step on. I Did wear the boots otherwise I would return them. Get a boot with a way thicker bottom and heal. I'm Still looking for a good warm pair of boots. Thank you. December 4, 2014
Rated 1 out of 5 by Not your dad's Sorel Caribou boots Up until this past week I really enjoyed the look and feel of my Sorel boots. This was to be the 4th winter wearing them here in NJ, so usage has been light. Needless to say, they are not going to see winter #4 because the sole detached from the rubber upper on the left boot. So my otherwise near mint condition boots are useless. I had lived in Ottawa, ON in the late 90's and had a pair that I left for a friend living there when I moved back south... wouldn't you know it, he is still wears them to this day. Obviously I can't return 4 year old boots but they should last much more than 4 years. Is there any way to get these repaired? From what I see online they are good for the garbage. What a shame. December 2, 2014
Rated 1 out of 5 by Very Disappointed I bought a pair of these on multiple recommendations. I was very happy with them at first but after only two months I started getting cracks above the sole/below the rubber upper. I took them back to the store I purchased them from and got a replacement pair. That new pair lasted only three months before I got a HUGE split in the rubber. I took those back too and will not buy another pair again. December 2, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Last winter boot you'll need I work outside all day in this coldest MN winter and these are hands down the warmest and most comfortable boots I have ever worn. I got a size bigger only cause I climb and do a lot during work. It's not clunky and did I mention very stylish? Last boot I'll need December 1, 2014
