Women's Snowlion™ Boot

Women's Snowlion™ Boot 4.6 5 49 50
Great Snow boots! These boots are great. They were purchased to replace a pair that was 13 years old. The old boots I had were Sorel SnowCat. When I started search the web for a replacement, the Sorel SnowLion came up and it is exactly what I was looking for. I am normally a size 8.5M, but ordered the 8M based on reviews that indicate they run a little large, and they fit perfect. A Snow boot should run a little large, because I like to wear a think sock. Wonderful Boots! I did a lot of research before buying these. Didn't want to break the bank either. These boots are extremely comfortable, not too heavy and really keep my feet warm and dry. They do fit a little large, but that's the way I like a winter boot to fit. Before these I was wearing a pair of heavy, rubber, foam lined pacs and these are so much more comfortable. I don't do hiking in these, but I do barn chores, bring in wood, etc. and these keep my feet warm and dry. Highly recommend these. April 13, 2013
Amazingly Warm Boots! I was looking for a snow boot that was warm and had good traction because I have to walk my dog a few times a day in cold, icy, Chicago. These boots did the job beautifully! When it is in the teens, I wear two pairs socks otherwise even with one pair you will be plenty warm. But make sure to go down a size. These boots do run large. March 20, 2013
Fantastic snow boot! I finally had to replace my old ones of 15+ years! I was pleasantly suprised of the more rounded toe box compared to my old ones. (Definately more flattering for those of us who wear a larger size!) Warm, great for deep snow, easy on & off, great value... what else would you expect from Sorrell?Keep up the superb quality! March 19, 2013
Sorel replacement I bought these sorels to replace my 30 year old sorels that I used for years in Alaska. By mistake I left them behind when we moved and now my daughter won't give them up. They are warm enough for the well below zero temperatures there and for all my winter boot needs here in Michigan. They stand up to wear and tear and my old ones are still in good shape. Would recommend them to anyone who gets cold feet outdoors in winter. March 12, 2013
This product is wonderful! Absolutely love these boots. They are warm and comfortable! I love the color too!! I wear them snowmobiling and they keep my feet warm and dry. Would definately recommend these boots for any outdoor activities. March 5, 2013
Awesome product I purchased the snowline boots back in 1993 and have used them each winter when we have had lots of snow. I could have ordered a new pair of liners, but decded to order new boots. When I found the snow line boot on line I was delighted already knowing what Sorel makes for a quality boot and thought I would like a new pair. I have already used them and I am just as happy with the new ones as I was with the old ones. Thank You to all at Sorel for making quality foot wear -- your the best. February 26, 2013
Too Heavy I tried them on when I received them, they were too heavy. I haven't worn them outdoors. They do look nice and durable. February 21, 2013
Snowlions I had a pair of green Snowlions that I wore through 20 years of delivering mail and other outdoor activities. I threw them out only when I could no longer mend them. I missed them terribly! I have seen them in white and black, but when I saw them on sale, in the Boulder color with pink laces, I snagged them. I love these boots, there are nothing like Sorels. I would agree though, about the back seam eventually wearing out. That is why I threw my first ones out. February 19, 2013
Best Money I ever Spent My husband had been given a pair of these same boots a year ago, and I decided to get a pair for myself. I have to say it was the best money I have ever spent. I stay warm and dry , no more wearing 3 pairs of wool socks in the deep snow at our house in uptstate NY while I am outside with the dogs and helping to shovel and plow snow with him. February 16, 2013
Only Sorel for me! I absolutely love my new Snowlions! Everytime I get a compliment on them I always add how my last Sorel boots were similar & that I had them for 15 years!! I really put them to the test with the blizzard we just had in Maine. Completely warm, dry & tall enough for those snow drifts. Thank you~ February 12, 2013
Best snow boot I own I've had several snow boots over the years and love these. I have a cabin in the mountains where there are feet of snow and these boots keep the snow out like no other. great fit if worn with ski socks or thicker winter sock. I'm glad I stayed to my size instead of going down lie the other reviews suggested. love the grey color too. Perfect snow boot January 25, 2013
SNOWLION THE LAST PAIR OF SORELL SNOWLIONS I BOUGHT WAS 12YRS AGO!!!!!THE ONLY THING WRONG WITH THEM WAS THE GROMETS WERE RUSTED SO I ORDERED A NEW PAIR AFTER 12 YEARS AND THEY ARE SAME QUALITY AND COMFORT AS THE OLD ONES....KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK********* January 15, 2013
snowlion boots my second pair in 20 years LOVE THEM, best boots EVER!!! January 14, 2013
Snowlion Love this boot for banging around the snow in. Runs a little big and my feet slide a fair amount so not good for distance unless you like the blisters that will follow. Super warm!! January 3, 2013
I love these boots After stealing my mom's pair of Snowlions at every opportunity for several years, she finally told me I had to buy my own pair. Hers are at least 10 years old, probably older than that (they're they only pair of boots I ever remember her wearing growing up, and I'm 27) and they're still going strong. She's replaced the inner liner a couple of times, but with regular wear during Wisconsin winters, I think that's to be expected.I've had my pair going on 5 winters, and they're still just as good as new. I have recommended these boots to friends and co-workers, and will continue to do so.I rate them a little high on the "too large" scale, since I purchased a 9 and am able to wear extremely thick socks and tuck my jeans down in, and still have wiggle room for my toes, and I normally wear a 9.5 wide or 10 regular shoe. Overall, though, I personally think fitting a little large for a heavy duty winter snow boot is a positive thing, since most people wear heavier socks & will want to tuck their pants in anyway! Thanks, Sorel! December 10, 2012
boots- review The boots are pretty tall and a little heavy but they're durable, warm, and protective. November 27, 2012
Excellent Snow Boot These are great boots for working in the snow at 8000 ft. They keep your feet warm and dry. Over the years, they have proven to be the best snow boot available for the long, cold winters of the Colorado high country. March 3, 2012
Love 'em! I finally found a pair of boots that look nice and keep my feet warm! I'm not big into the fur...The white Snowlion are stylish yet practical. I hope to have these for years to come. Now only if I can ensure they'd stay white... February 21, 2012
Snow lion boots Received the boots promptly and they fit as expected. Using them in cold weather and they keep my feet warm. My last pair lasted over 10 years. Just love them. February 9, 2012
Excellent product, runs big. Bought for a Star Wars Snow Trooper Commander costume. Works great. Needed size 10.5 mens so purchased a 12 in womens. These definitely run big. I would have got an 11 if I had known but they will work with thick socks. Logo and lace loops came off with little effort and a seam ripper. February 3, 2012
snonwlion I love my new snowlions, It was so cold today but my feet stayed warm. I walked the dog for 1 hour my hands got cold but not my feet. My last pair of snow cats by sorel lasted me 25 years. I hope that is true for my new pair. Michigan is cold and I like to be outside these boots are great...... January 19, 2012
Perfect I have not had a pair of snow boots in years because I have never wanted to spend any time out in the snow and cold. However, I have to be outside in the snow and cold at times with my new job and needed a pair of boots that would keep my feet warm and dry. I was very pleased with the performance of these boots! After reading the reviews I decided to purchase mine a size smaller than I normally would get, and the fit was perfect! January 18, 2012
This is a Great Product I purchased two pairs of these boots one for my daughter and the other for me. We go snow mobiling every year. I ordered the boots and received them within 7 days which worked out great because we received them 5 days before we left for our trip. The boots kept our feet warm and dry. I am recommending this product to all of our friends and family. January 3, 2012
A bit clunky In this age of lightweight UGG boots, Sorels are heavy and clunky. But I like them anyway. Can't wait for the first big snowfall to test them out! December 29, 2011
Snow Lion This is my second pair. I've had my first pair for over 20 years. They were white. I got them in black this time. I still wear the old pair but they are getting pretty grungy. I love this boot for playing and working in the snow. April 2, 2011
Very disappointed in the workmanship I got these boots in late Dec. They keep my feet warm in subzero weather but they are cheaply constructed. The seam on the nylon part has come apart on one boot and is starting on the other. That's with only 3 months of wear. That's why I give the boots only one star. No matter how warm, they become pretty useless if they start falling apart in 3 months. I'll be returning mine on the warranty. I am hoping for a refund or an exchange for a different style boot. I really don't care to have this style again, because from other reviews I have read, this seems to be a common problem.I was really disappointed because my last Sorel boots lasted 15 years! I think the problem is those Sorels were actually made by Sorel and constructed in Canada. The Snowlion boot is made in China and is actually made by Columbia. I will be very careful to be sure I don't get a cheap China product next time. March 10, 2011
Please fix my awesome Snowlions!! I bought these boots in white two winters ago and I can testify that they are great for below zero. We have many of those days here in Wisconsin!! The problem I am having is that, like Ruth wrote in January, my nylon is pulling from the stitching in the back of the boot. The left boot has a gap pulled away of about an inch and the right side is starting. I hope that Sorel can take care of these boots so that I can continue to enjoy the warmth they bring me! February 24, 2011
Seams ripping in the back :( I recently moved to NY after living in TX my whole life so I obviously needed an awesome pair of boots, so I purchased the Snowlions in white to match my winter coat... Anyway, after about a week of wear just to the car and back, my coworker noticed the seams were ripping in the back of my boots! I was SO UPSET! I called Sorel and spoke to a really nice representative and he said I could return them, and since there was a year warranty I could finish out the winter with them. I also wrote an email to Sorel and they even sent me a UPS shipping label to their warranty department. I am very impressed with the service I received from Sorel and I will probably be purchasing another pair of boots from them, but maybe not the Snowlions this time. I am very sad about it because they were SO WARM! But I just don't think the material was put together properly in the pair I received. :( February 24, 2011
Warm boots I purchase these boots after reading the reviews. I even called customer service at zappos to check on the correct size. I am so glad to have them boots. They keep my feet so warm withouts sock. As far as being is concern if you have big legs like myself you will get used to the weight. This winter like most of the USA we had plenty of snow. One day I was out with my husband and he had on his boots and when we had to cross the street and the snow was melting I manage to walk through without worrying about get my boots mess up of my feet wet. He was walking around the wet snow. For those whose boots lining in the back has unraveled Sorel has a warranty on their boots. Also I have read many reviews about this problem. Evidently those were a defective pair. I am plenty sure Sorel will replace the boots because if people say that they had there for 20 years you should experience the same. February 15, 2011
the snowlion Used my Sorel Snowlions for the first time yesterday while ice fishing. Overall I love the boots. My toes stayed warm for about 4 hours, not bad considering I was sitting and not moving around. They are definately true to size. I wore one pair of wool socks and had no problems with the boot being to tight. February 13, 2011
Snow Lion - need liners My Sorel SnowLions are the absolute warmest and driest boots available. Problem is they've lasted SO MANY YEARS that the liners are getting a little thin. Can you please send me some replacement liners for them? I've having a hard time finding them on your website and would SO like to have some. February 6, 2011
warm, but heavy I bought this boots a couple weeks ago, they fit well, but they are really HEAVY.I use windex to clean them and it wokrs. I'm happy that I have them specially in that winter conditions. February 3, 2011
white snowlion i was given a pair of these 20 yrs ago; of course some winters saw very little use, but am still wearing. They still keep me warm. I just received a compliment the other day on them. Secret is to clean up at end of every season and store properly. January 22, 2011
Shwinggg As soon as I put theses on I had the urge to start kicking things over. They are rockin! I ordered a half size bigger than my normal size to account for winter wools. Wish I hadn't. They're plenty warm with thin socks and the extra room makes them just a little clumsy. I still get compliments. I tested them last week on a backcounrty hike with tons of snow and was happy to have completely dry feet and ankles. Of course they aren't as light as a summer hiker, but They don't seem all that heavy to me. My only complaint: The black snowlion is ugly and my white ones are dirty. Another color please????? January 19, 2011
Love Them!! I've had a pair of Snowlion's that have lasted 16 yrs - I just bought a new pair today. I tried on all sorts of other brands/styles but the Snowlion's felt so comfortable and sturdy and I have never once had cold feet on my old pair. I'm sticking with 'old reliable'! January 17, 2011
Snowlion I loved the boot and they definitely kept my feet warm in below zero weather (without double socks!). I did have to return them because the nylon started ripping away from the seams on both boots! Has anyone else had this problem? I would love to reorder the same boot but don't want to have the same problem happen. Was it just that pair? I had only worn the boot about 10 times and just for normal walking around town. Any input? January 14, 2011
Phenomenal Back in 1978, my husband purchased a pair of boots from your company called the "snowcats" for an ice fishing trip on Lake Champlain. To this day, those boots are still in excellent condition and are being worn by myself and also my three daughters, which ever one of gets to them first. So today, I purchased a new pair which are now called "snowlions". These are by far the best snow boots I have ever owned. I would highly recommend your company to anyone looking for boots. I have even on ocassion worn these without socks just to run outside and let me tell you, wether you wear thick or thin or in some cases no socks, your feet will never be wet or cold. What a phenomena pair of boots!!! January 10, 2011
Love Love Love Sorel Boots I've had my Rubber/nylon waterproof boots for several years now and they keep my feet just as warm as the day I bought them. The inner felt boot keeps your feet toasty warm and dry. I am buying a new pair this year. Also you can remove the felt inner boot to wash in your machine, but I do not recommend putting them in the dryer, just in case they shrink.Try a pair and you will never go back to any other true snow boot for ideal warmth and comfort. January 6, 2011
Toasty and CUTE I love these boots - and so does everyone else that sees them! Apparently white snow boots are a huge fashion statement, and after a winter of over 2 feet of snow, its the smartest money I've spent ALL YEAR (after my wedding of course).A little clunky, yes. But I can climb through 5 foot snow mounds and my toes are still dry and toasty ... I think I might buy liners now before they wear down in a few years though, I hear they'll be quite the commodity if this style is ever discontinued. January 6, 2011
They run large, but not a whole size larger. . . I bought the Snowlions based on the customer reviews for comfort, warmth, and of course, fit. I have the Joan of the Artic boots in a size 10, which are very warm but also a bit clunky and run large, so I decided to go a size smaller with my Snowlion purchase. Unfortunately, the 9 is too small to wear comfortably with the thick socks I prefer when trekking through snow drifts for my job. A half size larger would have been perfect. My advice: stick with your normal size for best comfort and fit if you have to wear them regularly, and wear thicker socks. In hindsight, I should have ordered my normal size, and compensated with thicker socks or two pairs, leaving roominess in the toes, which tends to help feet stay warmer. Everything else about the boots was as described and I loved the them, but had to return them. Sorel--please consider half sizes! January 3, 2011
Best boots ever! When I purchased my 1st pair of Sorels, I never dreamed they'd last 15 years! I recently purchased my 2nd pair-Snowlions-and couldn't be happier! I was in the snow for hours, January 1, 2011
love this boot I bought these boots for snowmobiling and "playing in the snow" in general. My first experience with them was a snowmobiling trip. They kept my feet just right. They were not too warm and my feet did not get cold. The size ran a bit smaller than my old sorrels, so there's no room for really heavy socks, but my medium weight socks did fine. I did have to remove the "I think it's called the barrel-lock" from the top of the boot as it bites into your shin when you ride in a standing position with your leg on the seat... I just tied knots in the elastic string so they wouldn't get lost inside the hem and I tie them instead. It works fine. This is a very comfortable boot and I'd recommend it to anyone who likes to play in the snow. December 29, 2010
Best Boot I owned a pair of snowlions for 15 years..I used them for snowmobiling, walking the dogs, etc..when the felts finally wore out, I bought a new pair of snowmobiling boots and kept the snowlions around for everything else..I loaned them to a friend to snowmobile and never got them back..I bought a new pair this year and I can say I'll never give this pair up..Best boot for price and durability! December 12, 2010
a little big I just got my Snowlions yesterday after my 10 year old store brand boots gave up the ghost last winter. With the exception of them feeling about 1/2 size too big they're perfect, but I'm pretty sure I can make up most of the size difference with thicker socks. I got them in black because I'm known for not being able to keep anything that is white clean for more than 10 minutes. December 2, 2010
These boots are fantastic! I have had a pair of snowlions for close to 20 years! I have used them for work, play, snowmobiling and snowshoeing and they have held up very well! They have never failed to keep my feet warm and my legs dry. It's time to buy a new pair now and I am definitely getting another pair of snowlions. Best pair of boots I have ever had! November 4, 2010
Better than Uggs I haven't worn my boots yet, due to purchasing them after season. However, I can already tell that my feet will be warm and dry. I have 2 pairs of sheepskin Uggs and wish I had not purchased them since my feet become wet and cold during snowstorms. Just based on the construction of the snowlions, I can tell I won't have that problem. I can't wait to test these babies out. April 10, 2010
My winter staple I'm going on my 10th year with my Sorels. They are in perfect condition still and my feet are always warm and dry. Usually, i'm wearing them into work with tights and dress slacks or a dress; even with thin tights my feet always remain warm and comfortable. I don't feel the need to find a sidewalk when I have my sorels on, I just plow right through the snow without worries of my feet becomming wet or cold. I just took a friend to te store so she could buy herself a pair. I wouldn't want to go a winter without them; they are deffinetly worth the investment. February 12, 2010
Great Boot I have had a pair of snowlions for 20 years. The same pair! I am now looking to get a new pair but can't deecide if I want the snowlion or the glacier! I might just get both! I would recommend any Sorel boot to anybody. I actually work outside in the winter and my snowlions have been fantastic! Never had cold or wet feet, even in sub zero weather. Wish I had stock in Sorel!!! What great boots you have! December 3, 2009
