Men's Caribou Thermoplus® Liner
Men's Caribou Thermoplus® Liner 4.2 5 57 57
Have loved them for over 25 years I have had to replace the liners of my boots twice, but have loved them for over 25 years. December 18, 2011
Fits Big Horn Needed liners for my old boots. I have Big Horns. They are no longer made. I was told to order these liners they worked great. April 1, 2013
great product Thank you for getting my new boot liners (Caribou Thermo Plus) to me so quickly. When I decided to upgrade my 25-year old Caribous, I was not certain that the new liners would fit. I'm happy to say they fit perfectly and feel great. Additionally, they are well made and of good quality. Since winters here on Cape Cod are not as cold or long and snowy as they are in Vermont, I should get many more years of wear out of what has been my "go to" winter boot for the last 25+years. March 6, 2013
Caibou Thermoplus Great Very pleased with the Men's Caribou Thermoplus Liner. They fit perfectly in the boots and saved the cost of buying new boots. My only concern is that they were not made in the USA or Canada. February 21, 2013
The inserts fit perfectly! My recent purchase for replacement inserts to my SOREL Caibou boots has been most satisfactory. I've had these boots for over twenty years and they look like new. The inserts did wear out with use (as expected) and the new ones continue to keep my feet warm in even the coldest weather. Thanks for the timely service.Father David February 21, 2013
not the original I bought a pair of replacement liners for a pair of Caribous' that I've had as long as I remember, but the originals had white trim whereas the replacements were black other than hat I am content with my purchase February 14, 2013
New liners New liners for my old boots. Just the thing. Lots of snow in SLC and its been pretty cold at times. That and a new dog to walk, I'm thrilled to have warm feet again. February 11, 2013
all it claims to be great fit price is right and delivery was fast and the service was great February 11, 2013
inserts wish they were made in usa February 9, 2013
Caribou Liners I have had the boots going on 40 years. Tread is still good on boots but needed new liners. The liners I received fit the boots and my feet very good you could say excellent! February 4, 2013
Not true to size, very small. Very disappointed. These Sorel liners ran very small and are impossible to even put on. I didn't realize when I bought these that the shin area is missing the elastic and is fully sewn shut. My last pair of Sorels had an elastic opening in the shin area which allowed me to easily slip my foot in with heavy socks, these don't. There is no way that I could squeeze my foot into these even without socks. They are not worth the money, I'm very disappointed. January 25, 2013
Not warm enough for Minnesota in January Even though I was pleased with the quality. It sure did not make my feet any warmer. On the two times that I had to wear my boots with the new liners my feet were numbing cold. The temp was -2 degrees and my feet were only warm for about 15 minutes. This is not acceptable for a average temperature in Minnesota. Very dissapointed and cold. January 24, 2013
Life without Liners is no life at all I bought my Caribou's in 1979 and have been wearing them every winter since .. this is my first replacement liners and why I waited it's anyones guess .. When I purchased these boots I was working the winters at Big Sky resort in Montana; they only sold Mens boots so I bought a size 6. Now there are so many beautiful boots made for women .. but I'll stick with the one's I have .. they are the best cold weather boots I've ever owned.Thank you January 13, 2013
Quality Product, harder to take off and on The quality is there, well made with quality materials. However, the liner is sewn tighter and higher up on the ankle so you cannot take your boot off without the liner coming out of the boot. I am sure it is warmer, but just takes more time to get off and on. January 13, 2013
Good Lilners- perhaps a bit tall These liners are to replace some that are nearly 15 years old. For some reason, they are approximately 2 inches taller than my old boots, which are Sorel Caribou boots. No matter, however- they are warm, and I just figure my leg will stay warmer further up this way. January 13, 2013
Old is New Again Okay...so my Caribou boots are 25 years old and I truly earned the new liners from many years of ski patrolling. If I didn't know better I'd swear that I am wearing my son's new boots instead. So very very happy with my purchase and the fast efficient service from Sorel! January 10, 2013
Toasty Warm Great to have new liners for my Caribou boots which will last for ever. Ordering was a snap. Thanks! GM January 10, 2013
new again now after getting new liners my sorels are again the best snow boots ever. January 7, 2013
Different lining My Caribou boots are 10-15 years old and the are still great, the lining I prefer is open slit down the front which is easier to take off and put on without the lining coming out of the boot. The lining is also a little higher up then the boot exposing the felt. I love the boots and the original lining but the new lining will do and is still far above anything else. January 5, 2013
1st replacement after 25 years These are the best boots money could buy. I finally replaced the liners after 25 years of use. I'm sure I will get another 25 years from them. The new liners are a bit tighter since there is no cut out in the front as in the old ones. January 2, 2013
Great for DogSledding in Northern Ontario! I wore my Sorel Caribou boots and liners during our recent DogSledding trip in Northern Ontario. Temps were about 10F and these boots/liners worked exceptionally well!I would also like to compliment the Sorel customer service people. They were so kind and helpful in fixing a mistake I had made on the order. Amazing! :)--Morton January 2, 2013
Great product Bought these for my husband for his 30+ year old boots. They went into the boots easily. His boots are now as good as new and should keep him warm for many years to come. December 27, 2012
Caribou the best cold weather boot in the world I bought these pair of Caribou's in 1976, I figure it was about time to buy a set of new liners! NOTE: I am hard on my shoes and live in the Sierra Navada's near Lake Tahoe, so therefore I have used these boots often with no failure. December 23, 2012
Boot Rejuvenation I had worn right through the bottoms of my old liners, but the exterior boots were still in great shape - so I ordered new liners. They arrived quickly and fit the boots and my feet perfectly. The only negative comment is that the liners have a new design that makes it slightly more difficult to take the boots back off - the older liners had a slit that didn't cling so tightly to the upper ankle. I am very happy with this purchase as they have given many more years of life to some great boots. December 18, 2012
replacement liners I love my sorels! I knew the size, so ordering was a breeze. These boots are going to be around for a long while. December 14, 2012
The Best Boot and Liner Ever! I have had my Caribous for 25 years. The leather shell has held up great. I take really good care of my boots. I have only had to replace the liners. I have loved these boots so much that I have bought Sorel Caribou boots for my entire family. We have been on some great winter outings in negative temps with these boots. Our feet have been warm and dry each time. Thanks Sorel for making a great product! November 27, 2012
Caribou liners tight The liners are fine and its nice to have new ones however they do not have the expandable elastic in front and are difficult to put on and take off as a result. Perhaps they will break in. November 21, 2012
Caribou Liners I bought size 8 mens liners to fit in my unknown size (prbably 8 but where did the size inscription go?) boots for my women's size 9.5 feet and I love them. I had read other reviews that spoke of tightness in the liners so I thought the men's liners might be better. No idea how the women's liners are, but the men's work great for me! November 21, 2012
retro Caribou boots My son had his boots restitched as after 30 years they were coming apart. I ordered these liners and now he has boots that he is thrilled with. The best part was the person on the phone who helped me find these liners - she was great an made it such a good shopping experience!! October 28, 2012
change in design from original pair the original liner purchased in 1993 had an opening at the front. this design was solid, with a stretchy material where the opening had been. thus, the fit was too tight. i will be returning for credit. good news, look how long the original pair lasted! October 23, 2012
A good upgrade from the original felt liners? These Thermoplus liners were bought to supplement the original felt liners in my 35 yr. old Caribous. Which have proved nearly indestructible. Warmest boots around -- as long as the liners are dry. Feet perspire, and with daily use extra liners are just good sense.Good quality control -- the fit is exact. Thermoplus liners are a little thinner than the blue felt liners. But (hopefully) advances in material-science will allow these to retain heat as well or better than the originals. Time and mind-numbing cold will tell. The only complaint (as voiced by others) might be the front closure. A bit snug when pulling the boot on and taking it off. The liner wants to come out along with your foot. But that feature may provide better heat retention during extended wear.. They're just not quite as easy to slip on and off for a quick run to the mailbox. The real test will be when the temperature tanks to minus 30 in a couple months. The feet will know.Overall this product appears to show the quality expected from classic Sorels. October 21, 2012
Cheaper quality than original The quality has gone downhill. Product is very cheaply made compared to the original. September 25, 2012
I like the quality SOREL has. My grandfather always bragged about his SOREL hunting boots.I've always had SOREL boots, they last forever. February 19, 2012
inserts the inserts fit in my 25 year old boots February 11, 2012
Great liners, but hold the neoprene! just bought new liners for my 20 yr old sorel boots. Liners are warm and comfortable. Only complaint is the neoprene seam that closes the liner from ankle to mid calf...keeps the liners so tight that they come out of the boot along with my foot! Sorel: please go back to the old tab version. Other than that, great product! January 31, 2012
This liner will keep your feet warm I purchased this line to replace the liners in my old boots. I have not had much chance to use my boots with new liners, because of the our mild winter, but one day it was -20 below, put my boots on to shovel snow. My feet stayed toasty warm while I was outside. One thing I noticed was that with the front being completely closed they are a little harder to get on but helps to keep feet warm. January 25, 2012
well-made, but too cumbersome We have to return these liners because they are not flexible enough. The original liners (30+ years old) have a split in the middle front and one band (the size of a bandaid) across the front to keep it together. MUCH easier to put on and take off. They are very well made, but too difficult to get on and off. January 22, 2012
Needed a second pair after 20 years............. Just bought my second pair today at REI - Kennewick, Washington. The first pair - also purchased at REI in Spokane, Washington - lasted 20 years. Wore them in work and play.Used to walk to work in them every day; snow was literally knee deep and we usually had at least a week or so of -30 to -36 degrees - Republic, Washington. Winters were long and harsh. The old ones never failed me - hope these new ones are as good. January 21, 2012
Not what they used to be... I bought these to replace 15 year old liners. They are much thinner, not as well constructed and fairly expensive. The sales rep told me they are *better technology* and would therefore be warmer than my 15 year old, worn out pair. So I wore one of each liner to the Broncos/Steelers playoff game and by halftime had to go inside because the foot with the new liner was freezing. Size is fine, but the experience with Sorel was not. Probably moving to another boot. January 21, 2012
Great to be warm again My boots are going on 12 years old and love the style. The liners have worn thin the last few years. I stand on the frozen lakes in our Minnesota winters for hours on end and need full liners. The replacement liners bring the boots back to new quality in terms of warmth. The new liners do have a neoprene material connecting the front sides of the liner. Great for keeping snow out and snugging the liner around your foot but I have slit it half way down with a hot knife, so that I can more easily slip the boots on and off without pulling the liners out. January 17, 2012
Caribou replacement liners work great. true to size. like getting new boots again. good price and good service from Sorel - what's not to like! January 16, 2012
Consider Ordering a bigger size My old Sorels had 100% virgin wool linings. The new ones are not 100% wool. Perhaps, that is the reason they are smaller than the old linings. Consider ordering a larger size if your old lining was 100% wool. January 13, 2012
Restored my 30 year old boots these liners are warm, dry and comfortable. my old ones had completely worn out and were falling apart but the outer boots were still in great shape. these new liners are much more comfortable than the old one ever were. January 5, 2012
liner the liner fits a little snug, because of the elastic which runs the whole length of the liner. A thin pair socks and they work just fine. warm and toasty. I am now good for 20 more years . thank you. January 4, 2012
Better than Original My new inserts are even better than the originals!! January 3, 2012
Center Support BAD Previously, Sorel use a single elastic strip about 1inch wide to hold liner insert together, This allowed your foot to splip into the boot easily. Now the felt insert liner is secrured the entire length with a non elastic material (neoprene) that prevent your foot from easily sliping into the boot and liner. I had to remove the liner from the boot shell, until that is, I cut the neoprene center strip about 2/3 of the way down. Not my foot slides in and come out without removing the liner and having to re-insert it January 3, 2012
Sorel liners The original liners that came with the Sorel boots I bought in early 1988 were wearing out and I figured if they have lasted 23 years, why not go with the same as replacements. And they're good too. December 20, 2011
Caribou liner I have owned a pair of Caribou boots for at least 20 years, probably closer to 30 but who's counting. I thought it was time to change the inserts so ordered a new pair. They fit the boot very well and are very comfortable. The only issue is that the boot is a little harder to get on and off than the previous inserts. The old inserts "tongue" area was held together with a single band of elastic whereas the new insert has a completely sewn "tongue".While I'm sure this is beneficial if snow were to get down the boot, which never seems to happen, it still is more difficult to put on and take off. Suppose these will last another 20 to 30 years so I will just have to get used to it. December 19, 2011
New Liners for my Ol'Sorels I have had the same pair of Sorels for about 10 years. YUP.. and i'm an advid outdoors women.. Icefishing every season, 4 kids and 2 dogs. These boots are still in great shape. I had to buy new liners this year. Finally the 10 year old liners wore out in the heel area and was getting thin all around. The new liners I bought are awesome, fit right in boots and i'll get another 10years out of my boots.. With todays prices on GOOD Boots, I'm still ahead of the game I paid less than $65 for my Sorels 10 yrs ago and now just put in another $35.. Thanks Sorel, for making such an awesome product.. December 13, 2011
So far so good I have an very old (20+ years) of caribou boots. These fit perfectly. As one reviewer noted, they are thinner than the original wool flannel liners that finally gave out BUT I noticed that they have aluminum foil in the materials Liston the tag. This might also be the reason for the thermo in the name. So.... if there is a layer of aluminum Mylar or composite they may not need to be as thick. It hasn't been cold enough or snowy enough here yet this year so I will reserve judgment on warmth until I can get out in one of our -15 blizzards. But so far so good...
