I read all the reviews and there were more reviews that said they run just right or slightly big. I should have went with the only one that said they run small. I ordered a whole size bigger to accomadate my thick wool socks, but when I put them on without socks at all they were too small. I usually wear a 6, ordered a seven but believe I now need an 8 which is out of stock. Also does feel like it will take alot of breaking in before being comfy. Hope this helps someone as to avoid a return.

I got these boots for xmas...but picked them out without trying them on first. Yes, there are screws in the back but they are of minimal problem. It took a few days for me to break them in and once I did found that they are absolutely fantastic. I have received multiple complements on them and I find they are fashionable to the point where they do not "dress down" an outfit. Extremely comfy, easy to get on or off and are WEATHERPROOF. I go to school in Troy, NY -- the land of dreary, rainy, snowy, and cold. They work great! I'm contemplating my next pair of Sorel right now.

I just bought these boots for Chicago winters. I was excited because they were cute, warm and duck, so they should keep the water out. However, the first time I wore them, something was rubbing my back ankle. I thought maybe I just needed to break them in. I wore them two more times, then realized, no, something really was rubbing my back ankle -- the screws in the back were coming through the inside of the boot! Who designs shoes with screws at the back ankle? I have two perfectly round shaped blisters from the screws! I am SO taking these shoes back! What a horrible design! Ouch!!

This is my first pair of Sorel boots and I absolutely love them!!! They are so cute and tall enough to trek through the snow in our Vermont winters- I get compliments on them all of the time!!! I ordered the brown ones in a size 8- I usually wear an 8 or 8 1/2 and the 8s feel great, a bit loose with thin socks on but fine with thicker ones. The white cleans up easy as well. I highly recommend these boots!!!
