Men’s 1964 Premium™ T CVS Boot

Men’s 1964 Premium™ T CVS Boot 4.4 5 43 44
Colorado Cold Purchased these for a week of spring conditions at Steamboat Springs, CO . . . expecting much colder conditions than we found upon arrival. As result, have worn them only once. But, found them to be exactly as advertised -- size, comfort, warmth, everything. Anybody who has a problem with the liner when removing the boot should consider removing them BEFORE having 12 shots of booze at the resort bar. April 3, 2013
These boots are amazing Warm/comfort/style. What else is to say, ideal boots when u live in the city like Chicago. March 28, 2013
Nice Very nice boots. fit right. March 25, 2013
Terrific! Finally wore these boots. I found them comfortable and warm. I usually wear an 11.5 so I ordered an 11. They were perfect. March 20, 2013
A Great All Around Snow Boot! Let me preface this by saying I don't live in the snow, we only visit from time to time. That being said, after years of just wearing my hiking boots in the snow and ending up with cold feet, I decided to take the plunge and finally buy some Sorel's. I ordered the Charcoal Grey/Black ones and couldn't be more pleased with the look and feel of the boots.I was concerned by some of the reviews discussing poor build quality, but on their arrival and a thorough inspection, I could not find any flaws. The boots fit well, and most importantly, are very comfortable. Yes, the liner will want to come out of the boot when you take your foot out, but with a little time and experience, that was easily fixed. The look of this particular style received many compliments. I think people really like the "Throw back" look of the boot and I can't say that I'm disappointed. I wore these every day for a week in the snow, trudging up hills, sliding down hills, playing in the snow and general outdoor use. No issues or problems. They kept my feet warm and dry!I normally wear a size 11.5 in a boot. However, these do run a size too big. Since they don't seem to have half-sizes for this model of boot, I originally ordered a size 12, but that was way too big. After returning to Piperline, I gave Sorel a call and they verified that the boots do run a little large. I ordered the size 11 and they shipped them right away! The Customer Service rep was great and even expedited the shipping at no additional charge! Great Service. The boots arrived and the size 11 fit perfectly! They even throw in an extra pair of red laces, which I immediately used to replace the black ones that were on the boots. That was a nice touch Sorel. For my casual snow use in our local Mountains, these are fantastic boots and I am very pleased with my purchase. March 13, 2013
Excellent Boots These boots kept my feet warm and dry in below freezing conditions. They are good looking as well. February 27, 2013
Size very small I ordered based on the size chart on the web site and based on reports saying the size runs large. I went with the size chart and the boot was very small. I returned the boot and ordered two sizer larger. February 26, 2013
Great boot. If you like dry, warm feet in cold, frigid temperatures, buy this one. February 20, 2013
My 1st pair of this model Super comfortable.Color-way is unique.I've been wearing them non-stop. February 19, 2013
Great product and quick shipping! I'm a recent transplant from the south to New England. Never needed snow boots before, after asking a friend who grew up in Buffalo for some advice, he suggested Sorels. I looked into them found an amazingly stylish version (considering what most snow boots look like) I was initially going to order these from a big shoe website, but they were sold out of my size (these fit about a half size too big by the way) I'm glad that was the case, the shipping from the Sorel is super fast and the price was the same, plus they offer an opportunity to use a recycled box for shipping. Awesome idea, thanks guys. As soon as I got these in the mail, Snowmageddon '13 hit Boston. Day's worth of shoveling and trudging through feet of snow later, the boots are impervious. Super warm, dry, and they look good too. The removable liners are also made from recycled materials, I don't know if it said this in the product description, but I will. Again awesome idea guys. They are so comfy I wear the liners in the house now instead of my slippers. I gave them a good instead of excellent quality rating, because I've only had them for a few weeks. They seem really solid, which is kind of too bad because I want to support Sorel more, but I don't think I'll need boots for years to come! February 14, 2013
Good Excelent service and product February 11, 2013
leak These boots are very warm and very comfortable. The problem is they leak at the seams. I don't even have a full winter in and they are leaking around the seams. This kind of defeats the purpose. February 5, 2013
Aesthetics are not everything... I excitedly wore these boots for the first time last Saturday. There was a light dusting of snow the night before, most of it melted, but there were traces of ice here and there. Not more than 10 minutes out of the house I slipped walking over a manhole cover and sprained my wrist and injured my knee. I was shocked - thinking a how could this have happened with my new, awesome boots! Maybe the boots needed to be broken in a little bit more as there was no real traction or texture built into the mold? I'm thinking of taking some sandpaper to them to see if that helps with the break-in process. Aside from that mess, the boots fit great, feel great and look amazing. February 1, 2013
Very happy with initial quality This is the first proper pair of boots I've owned since probably the early 90's ... and I live in Minnesota. Needless to say, I was overdue, and I wanted to get something special. The winter being mild as it is, I haven't had much chance to try them out in the field, but they fit just as described by other reviewers -- be sure to order a half-size smaller than your true size. The size 11 is perfect for my size 11.5 feet. I do have very narrow ankles, and I find that unless I wear thick socks the shoestrings barely pull the boot tight enough (and hang very long). Likely not an issue for most people. January 15, 2013
Most comfortable boot ever This boot possesses both style and function. Keeps the water out, keeps your feet warm, all while looking good. They fit larger than expected. I wear a 9.5-10 shoe and the 9 boot is perfect. The only problem i have with this boot is the washable/driable liner tends to come out when you pull your foot out. Luckily, the liner is easy to slide back into place. January 2, 2013
Awesome right out of the box As the title says, no break in. Out of the box and into the rain and snow. On the third day strapped them onto snowshoes for an epic hike. Warm toasty and dry. What more could I ask for? January 2, 2013
1964 Premium T CVS Boot I orderred 41 1/3(my regular) size and it fitted as i want. The looking is nice(though may seem big). The problems with the boot are1-)On flat surfaces(i.e tiles etc), if it is wet, you have to show extra attention not to fall.It is very slippery.2-)I have never wore such a sweaty boot.In minutes you start to feel the sweat in between your fingers.I didnt use it at extreme cold as claimed(-40) but i think it is not a suitable boot for everyday use.3-)I dont know whether all are the same but mine is produced in china. I was expecting it is made "in Canada" December 23, 2012
last forever I bought a pair of Mens 1964 CVS boots when i was 17. I just tirned 60 and still wear them. I can attest to their durability. December 21, 2012
I expected the best, but....... This is my 4th pair of Sorel's and I hope they are as satisfactory as the other 3. I've only worn them twice so far, so I can't comment on the durability. I did find some things that I didn't like. One, I had to get size 12 because 11 1/2 is not available. This makes the boots somewhat loose and clumsy to walk in. Two, the laces are almost impossible to pull tight. Three, the pull on loop on the back of the boot is so small I can barely get my pinkie finger in it. It borders on being useless. The online catalog shows the weight of these boots as 22oz., but they are actually 32oz. Probably a typo that needs to be corrected. That said, would I buy Sorel boots again? For sure. December 12, 2012
Warm, sweet-looking kicks These are the best snow boots I have owned. So warm and they have a classic look; not like those silly boots with the suede and fur. December 4, 2012
GREAT BOOTS! This is the first pair of Sorel boots I have ever owned and I love them. The fit, comfort, mobility and everything about the boot is great! I would recommend them to anyone! November 2, 2012
Best boots I've ever owned. I love these boots. Hearing from others that the boots run a little big, I got a 10 instead of a 10.5, and they are perfect. I sloshed around Vancouver and Victoria BC in these immediately after they arrived, and they did not disappoint - super warm, super waterproof, and they look great too. I used to be a Doc Martens guy, but I am pretty sure the next boots I buy will be Sorels instead. April 4, 2012
Olive laces FTW These boots are extremely comfortable and warm. Although we haven't had a ton of snow I have still had the opportunity to tread through some snow and water. The boots held up great, and my feet stayed warm and dry. I would recommend this boot to anyone who lives where it regularly snows. The bottom line is that you should buy these boots now. January 31, 2012
Excellent boots for snow and extreme cold I grew up in Michigan and have been well aware of the reputation of Sorels. But back then as I was young and with limited funds, I never did buy a pair. That was more than 30 years ago and I now live in the Pacific Northwest,Well, I'm older, wiser (I think), and have a few more dollars in my wallet, so I bought my 1st pair of Sorel boots from the Columbia store in Seattle a few weeks ago.My wife (who also got Sorels) and I were getting ready for a winter vacation to visit friends at Sun Peaks ski area in British Columbia. Also, while at the Columbia store, we bought our daughter a pair of Sorels as she was planning to leave for a 3 week trip to visit friends in Michigan's Upper Peninsula during Michigan Tech's Winter Ice Carnival. She arrived in the UP a few days ago and called to thank us and let us know the Sorels are perfect for the conditions.Well, my wife and I returned from our winter trip to B.C. this past week, experiencing a deepening Artic freeze over 4 days. The high temperature on day 1 was -4 degrees Fahrenheit. Day 2 had a high of -11 degrees Fahrenheit. Day 3 cooled down to a high of -18 F, and day 4's high was -22 F. Not once did our feet get cold when we were walking around the village in our Sorels. On day 3, we went snowshoeing with our friends. We were wearing our Sorels, of course, but our friends had other brands of insulated boots. Within an hour, our friends began to note that their feet were beginning to feel cold. Though our friends needed to hurry back to the condo to warm their feet, my wife and I stayed out for 3 hours. We felt and acted like kids... walking and playing in the magical beauty of the fresh snow. As adults, we fully appreciated being warm and comfortable even though the temperature was bitter cold. The Sorels proved they are worth every penny. January 25, 2012
Not quite waterproof I don't know if I got a bad pair or what - I bought these and the next day decided to go on a short 2 mile walk through the woods. The majority of the hike wasn't in deep snow, but there were a few short patches. I was so happy that my feet were mostly warm still, and felt confident that when I returned home my feet would be nice and dry. On the drive home I started to detect that my feet were not quite dry. Upon removing the shoe I realized that the entire inside of the shoe was soaking wet. The only reason my fet weren't wet was because it had not yet permeated the felt liner. I don't think I can recommend these shoes to anyone if they want a waterproof boot. I really wanted to like them, but this is quite a disappointment. January 14, 2012
Slightly big and felt's stickness As many customers said, I think that boots are slightly bigger than others.More important thing is that the felt of inner boots easily sticks to my cotton-socks. After washing my socks, I found felt adhered to my socks. December 27, 2011
Awesome Boots The Sorel Canvas are the best combination of legit waterproof snow boots and light weight footwear. They are very comfortable and keep your feet warm and completely dry. If you are a half size, I definitely recommend buying the full size below. December 18, 2011
Function & Style! From shoveling the sidewalk to late nights out in a snowy town these are the boots to have. They look great with a pair of jeans tucked into them and keep me plenty warm. December 14, 2011
Great shoe Very Warm and waterproof. Note, this is bigger & heavier than I thought, so probably better for colder climates, heavy rains and snow versus replacement for a lighter weight LL Bean rain boot. December 13, 2011
Great Boot When I first purchased my boots online, I was worried because many of the reviews mentioned the boots being too big. However, when mine came, they fit perfectly fine. They are extremely comfortable and are very easy to walk around in. December 13, 2011
Can't wait for Snow I already like snow and usually am very happy when it finally arrives here in NYC. After getting my 1964 Premium T Canvas in the mail, I can't wait for the first snow storm to hit NYC, so that I could give these babies a try.The whole boot feels like its very well put together and the inside layer seems like it really keeps your foot warm. Trying it around the house, made me feel like an astronaut, the boot has a great presence when its worn.I was persuaded to make the purchase, after my girlfriend told me that one of her co-workers, has owned the same pair of sorels since the 70's and they have never broken down, that longevity made me want to get a pair.As I said before, I can't wait for snow in NYC, so that I could give these boots a real trial. As I December 4, 2011
Worth every penny! I only gave it four across the board because I noticed some imperfections in the shell and they are sized a tad big. For the price however, you would be hard pressed to get anything better. I walk for miles around NYC in them every day and haven't had a problem to date. The first thing that you'll notice when you are wearing them out in the snow is how much warmer your feet are than every other part of your body. Amazing. These boots will probably outlive me. November 18, 2011
They stay dry and warm They keep your feet dry and warm.It hasent been that cold yet only in the 20'sBut when it get's colder I will write a new reviewBut over all at these temps the warmest boot I have ownedI've stood in slush puddles for about ten minutes and felt no cold I'veWalked about two to three miles in snow feet stayed dry warm and comfortableGreat boots November 6, 2011
Order up 1 size They look great, which is why you're reading this. I've had Sorels in the past and cannot complain about the quality. However, these just aren't comfortable. I read many reviews and decided to order my true size, a 12. I ordered them and they were tight on the top of the foot. I went to a store to try on a larger size, but the size immediately greater 13 wasn't any better. I would definitely suggest trying these boots on before you order them online unless you're willing to deal with annoying return policies. October 2, 2011
Amazing boot I have to disagree with most of the reviewers here- these boots run quite small- I normally wear a size 9.5 or 10 in every other boot out there, and in these Sorel's I wear size 8. This could be because I have super wide feet, and the Sorels have the perfect width for me, and I dont need the length, but I am so glad I tried these on in the store before just buying a size 9.5, I wouldve needed 2 pair of wool socks! March 25, 2011
I like these too! These color ways need to come in womens sizing too...or make some smaller mens sizes!!! March 11, 2011
Good Boot They are great boots. Biggest thing for me was getting the fit right. I saw that everyone wrote you should get a size or half size smaller than your size. Not true. Buy your exact size. If you are a half size, I would actually recommend going up. The reason is because you should have air space in the boot to keep your foot warmer. If you are a half size and order up, just buy some inserts (I get green Superfeet) and toss them in the boots. Not only will they feel more comfortable, but they will give a little more snug fit. February 22, 2011
WOW. Boots never made me so excited... ever. Waiting for these boots to arrive was terrible, because I just freaking love them. I ordered a 10 because the Sorel was out of every other size and when I went online and couldn't find 9.5...my actual size anywhere. Not sorel, not anywhere.I loved way they looked on me when they got here but they just felt a little big, so thought I would go online to check the sizes once more and a 9 magically appeared ordered those right away and sent the other pair back. Just got the 9 now and I think I may sleep in them tonight. The 9 fits me a 9.5... perfectly snug so I can wear the laces a bit loose which is how I like em.. February 9, 2011
Awesome boots I just received a new pair of these boots for a birthday present. When I first tried them on, my right foot was just a touch snug in the boot, but shortly after, they both became an extension of my feet, and I felt very comfortable walking and maneuvering in them. They are very warm, and easy to take them on and off. I am the type to not have them laced very tight, and keep things loose. They look great. They have a vintage look and I get many compliments from people because of how cool they look. They are great for wandering the city streets. The guy wearing them on opening of the mens' splash page looks very cool and hip. They are very funtional and stylish. People who are not wearing that polar bear on their boots should be very jealous!Cheers Sorel! January 27, 2011
Pretty True To Size Just received my boots in mail. Took about one week. These boots fit well maybe just slightly larger then normal. I wear a 10 1/2 to 11 and went with the 11. Tried the 10 on in store and way to small. January 19, 2011
Amazing, Amazing! January 10, 2011
34 Years old and still perform like new! As the title says, I've had these since my freshman year in college (1977) and have worn them about 60 days per year in both NE Ohio and now the Philadelphia area. I tell my kids, these boots have never leaked and I've never had cold feet - not once in 34 years. My 2 teenage daughters like the looks of my Sorels and want some for their own which brought me to this site...and I checked out the men's section to see if my "old school" Sorels (which predate the internet, cell phones, HDTV, global warming, and the new Cleveland Browns) were still being sold, and yes they are! I told my daughters these will last a lifetime and so I won't hesitate to get them a pair. I think mine were made in O Canada. I have no idea where they are made now but hopefully the quality is still good. Best boots I've ever owned. I even have the original shoelaces and notice no real wear marks. January 10, 2011
WOW Best boots ever. Felt like a kid again when i received them on christmas morning. WOW again! Buy these boots!!!!! January 8, 2011
